Karen of Sequim WA (02/08/09) Purchased a Large Plush Christmas Bone Pet Toy (Item #9100371-MMVIII) from Rite Aid. Toy made by Owners Choice Pet Toys. Tag on the toy says This toy should be taken away from pet if tears, seam openings or damage is detected. Under WARNING it says, FOR SAFETY SAKE, REMOVE ALL OF THE PLASTIC TAG HOLDERS, THESE ARE NOT PART OF THE ITEM. We did this and give the toy to our dog. A seam did come undone and she eat the stuffing material.
The dog became ill and we had to take her to the vet. She was operated on and they discovered that the stuffing was lodged in her intestines causing peritonites. She died from this. Amount owed will exceed 1,000.00.We would not have purchased or give our dog such a toy had we known that it would have killed her. WE FEEL THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE WARNING LABEL AND CONSUMERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS! OUR PUPPY WAS ONLY 14 MONTHS OLD. Tiffany of Richmond, VA February 4, 2009
Tiffany of Richmond VA (02/04/09) My sister and I were shopping at the grocery store next to rite aid when our daughter decided they wanted to go next door to rite aid to make a purchase. We followed them over there when we were finished shopping af the grocery store. When we entered the store we noticed the clerk following them around however she did not offer any assistance to any of us. I told my neice to hurry up and pay for her items because I was a little irritated. She goes up to one of the registers and the clerk passes by her and goes to the next register. Instead of telling her to come over she just stood there looking stupid.
So the manager comes by as I'm talking to my sister about the rude cashier and she says well maybe she thought she was still shopping. I said She didnt even acknowledge her, She tells me to mind my own business and I told her that she was my neice. She says What is she 12? I said she is still a juvenile. I told her she was very rude and she told me I could just get out of her store, and thats what I did cause I may have lost my cool and my religion. What kind of customer service was that!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN AND I'M GONNA KEEP COMPLAINING UNTIL THEY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEIR RUDE MANAGER! I HAVE NEVER HAD AN EXPERIENCE LIKE THAT

Michael of Levittown NY (01/27/09) my wife was given wrong medicine she was suppose to get requip and they gave her risperdal she started itching and had anxity, dizzyness and her legs went nuts and couldnt sleep how can they make mistakes like this
she is freaking out affaid to take anything else Belinda of Lewiston, ME January 11, 2009
Belinda of Lewiston ME (01/11/09) I approached the counter to have this prescription refilled. She took the prescription and said Well who is this for? I told her my name she looked it up in the computer and asked me my birthdate. I told her my birthdate. then she yelled aloud Well what is the medication called? Her tone and demeanor about the whole situation was extremely rude and made me feel like I was some kind of idiot or something. i felt like it was very innapropriate to be asking a customer to be shouting the name of their prescription across the room (considering this was only birth control it wasnt too big of a deal but what if it was for something more personal?) She held up the prescription and said does it came in a box like this? i nodded my head and she asked about my insurance and said do u have your card with you?
Now at this point i felt like she was just doing this to be rude because she had just looked at all my info on the computer so im assuming that it had given her my insurance info as well. She gave me my card back and said thats going to be ---- Assuming that shes going to ring me out because she had just given me a total i get my money all ready and wait for her to come back over. She comes back over and waits on the next customer in line! Im standing there STILL she looks over and says your prescription is not going to be ready for a minute. I said well i also need to pick up another prescription. She said oh well dont you want to do that when you get your other prescription? I think she could tell i was mad because she went over and got the other prescription and cashed me out. i got both prescriptions and then left.
i felt embarrased and feel that it was not at all appropriate the way she was speaking to me, especially when there was a customer in back of me. I dont feel that i will be going back to this pharmacy as a result! Sheila of Laconia, NH January 7, 2009
Sheila of Laconia NH (01/07/09) I went into Rite Aid pharmacy to drop off my prescription, the same prescription medicine I have been taking for almost five years now. The pharmacist grabbed the prescription out of the tech's hand and said out loud This is a fake prescription and I am calling the Doctor's office and the Police Department. I rolled my eyes and asked him how long this was going to take cause everything takes forever in this pharmacy, and of course the prescription was real. He said this very loud so everyone in the back of the store and all the employee's could hear him. He said I don't know and walked off to use the telephone.
I walked out of the store. I came back ten minutes later and asked if he had gotten it straight and he said yes, he did not apologize at all. I saw the badge he was wearing it said John, I can't remember the last name but come to find out he is the manager. I again asked him how long it was going to be and he said About ten minutes have a seat! just like that. When they called my name I asked to see the medication first due to the fact that they have given me the wrong medication, the wrong amount, and the wrong strength before. I noticed the amount looked shy so I opened them up and counted them. They were short 30 tablets.
John came over and in a rude voice said What is the problem now M'am? I told him there was a mistake. He grabbed the bottle out of my hands, slammed it in a basket and called me a junkie to a tech next to him in a low voice, he thought I did not hear him! He told me to sit down and it would be another ten minutes. I waited again. I was used to it due to the fact it's usually two or three hours in this place cause they are so slow and disorganized. They called my name back up again.
When I went to pay it came to over 100. They had not processed it through my insurance. John came over again and asked What my problem was? and the cashier told him. He again grabbed the medicine and gave it to the technician to fix the price and asked me if I had my new insurance card. I told him I had my old one, I had not received a new one. He said There is no way that it would not process unless you have a new card so look in your wallet for your new card. I threw my card at him and he said You people and your pain medicines, your always causing problems!
I was totally beside myself and went to sit down again. I am handicapped, 72 years old with a walker, so this was uncomfortable for me. They called me up again and the cashier said they fixed the problem. John looked at me and said Are you all set now lady? and I said Yes. I did not know what to say, I could not believe how rude he was to me. None of this was my fault. I only go to Rite Aid because I can walk there but because of this treatment I actually take a taxi to a pharmacy across town now and have never been treated so nicely (CVS). I would not reccomend this pharmacy to anyone. Thank you.
