Blondine of Mclean, VA June 20, 2008

Blondine of Mclean VA (06/20/08)
I received a check from Everyday Values for 9.25; on the back if I had endorsed, they indicate they would bill me 139.99 annual fees using the credit card I have on file at Budget. They claim no affliation with budget. I have recently been the victim of internet fraud, unlawful use of my credit cards, so I would like to find out what credit card they claim to have access to. I also have contacted Budget, that they do not have authorization to have my card on file, or share my information. This is very disturbing.

I destroyed the check they sent, but I would like to know they will be stopped from illegally obtaining my credit card information.

Leslie of Corte Madera, CA June 16, 2008

Leslie of Corte Madera CA (06/16/08)
I started having problems with Trilegiant in 2005 when I discovered I was getting strange charges on my Household Bank credit card in Oshkosh, WI. I started calling and writing letters, to no avail. I then moved, after my mother died, back to Kansas City in August 2006. I continued calling and writing and finally ended up being reimbursed for over 1200 of charges they had put on my card. I also cancelled the card, thinking it would end there.

When I moved back to California in April 2007, I had no problems, or so I thought, until March 2008 when I received a card about a HealthSaver membership, something I had no knowledge about, so I called and spoke with a Judtih and was given a code for my refund of 129.99. Allegedly, I had cashed a check in March 2006 to sign up for the program. How could I have done this when I was in the midst of packing and moving? And I NEVER EVER signed anything or sent anything in that was included in my credit card's statement. NEVER, even though the customer service people always said that was how I became a member of their many programs.

Well, now I have been charged 129.99 twice, once for March 2006 and once for March 2007 for their HealthSaver program which I had never heard of or even gotten any information about. I was told I could only get reimbursed by being credited the last 129.99 on my credit card. When it didn't happen in the time frame of 10 days, I closed my account finally with Household Bank a month later. I called again and was told to write to get reimbursed for both charges.

This I did in April 2008, but to this date, have received no refunds or response. I have called several times, and now I am back to looking up my old records and having to write them once again. This is the biggest scam and pain I have ever gone through. I had to spend hours, literally, writing letters, looking at my old statements to find out how long it had been going on, and now this again. HealthSaver never appeared on my statements, that I had seen, as I checked them regularly, but it must have been done in such a way that I didn't notice. Perhaps because I was in the midst of a move.

Anyway, Trilegiant owes me nearly 260.00, and I won't give up until I am reimbursed. Please do something about them! And now, even with a new credit card, they still managed to put something on it that I did not authorize. I have since closed out Household Bank's account with me but have not been reimbursed as I was told in March 2008 when I spoke with Judith. Help!

Guo of Charlestown, MA June 16, 2008

Guo of Charlestown MA (06/16/08)
This month I received a questionable charge on my credit card bill from CHASE bank with the amount of 149. I did not recognize the name of the company and could not recall charging anything of that amount.

My initial plan of action was to call the 800 number of the company about this matter. Before I dialed, I googled the company name and came across a large number of complaints regarding fraudulent charges. I am aware that many marketing companies send their ads through my credit card company, some of them claiming FREE products, coupons, and/or services. I have never replied to or accepted any of these services, fearing hidden charges. It is particularly disturbing to me that my credit card information was made available to these type of companies and in this case with no authorization from me.

After further research, I saw that 12 States have already filed a class action lawsuit against Trilegiant and Chase Bank. Instead of paying my bill and calling Trilegiant, I called CHASE right away and told a representative about my problems and findings. He said he will file a dispute of those charges and I won't have to pay that amount while its under dispute. I am filing a complaint against both companies and I am canceling my CHASE credit card.

Charged for 149 dollars, credit card companies is looking to resolve it. Will not know until they get back to me.

Unauthorized charge to my checking account of 11.99. Disputing with bank.

Jeff of Chesterland, OH June 12, 2008

Jeff of Chesterland OH (06/12/08)
This company charged 59.99 to my Chase Bank credit card. I contacted them and found out it is for a membership that I didn't order. They tried numerous times to get me to continue the membership, then finally transferred me to a supervisor for cancelling. They gave me a cancel # but I also contacted Chase Bank also, who informed me it's a company they are affiliated with but never mentioned any of the known scams, or lawsuits.

Trilegiant told me it could take more than one statement before I see a credit. This may have resulted from a rebate check they sent me which I thought was cash back for using my card.

So far, 59.99 but I need to go back and look at previous statements to see if they in fact have charged more on my card.
