Walk Away the Pounds

P.O. Box 939
Hicksville, NY 11802

Sandra of Sanford FL writes (9/10/01):
I was channel surfing one afternoon in mid July '01 and came across a segment on "Walk Away the Pounds" by Leslie S. It gave several demonstrations and testimonies by users. I phoned the 800 number for more information. The telemarketer gave me additional information on the shipping/tax charges.

I decided to write a check instead of giving out my charge card number. In 2-3 weeks I was to receive 3 videotapes, diet meal cards/recipes, information/journal, 2 weight balls for $39.95 plus shipping charges. I mailed a check for $52.90 to the company. It was cashed by my bank on July 31, 2001.

As of September 10th I have no merchandise or refund of my money. I called the customer service number (516-433-3575) on Sept. 4th at 9:10 am and spoke with Lydia. She said it would be 2-3 more weeks because they were waiting for more products to arrive. I asked why hadn't the company written or phoned me concerning the delay. Her response was simply she didn't know. That they would probably send a letter. Nothing as of this date.

I'm so disappointed in the way the company has responded. I anxiously check the mail daily for the arrival of my products so I can began my program.

We hate to say this but Sandra should stop channel surfing and hit the bricks. Walking is exercise that nearly anyone can do daily and it takes no equipment other than shoes, which most of us already have. Sandra should walk down to her local library and ask the librarian to help her find some legitimate guides to diet and exercise.
