Kroger

My complaint is that about half the time there are not enough baskets at the store at Polk and Cullen in Houston. When I voiced a complaint I was told it was because people took them home. Is this the only store that has this problem?

cannot carry a large order of groceries

About 2 months ago our Kroger Pharmacy changed computer systems. I have taken prescriptions in to be filled and it takes over 2 hours to get it filled, but yesterday was 5 hours. I took the prescription at 12:00 p.m. I ask the lady when it would be ready. She ask me what time I wanted to pick it up. I told her I would be back at 2:30 p.m. She said okay. I went back at 2:30 p.m. to pick it up and another lady told me it wasn't ready. She said the system had been down for an hour.

I was not happy. I told her they were losing a lot of customers because of there poor service. She told me they weren't losing customers. She said they were getting all the customers from a drug store that is closing in town. She said she could have my prescription ready in 20 minutes. I told her I would be back. I went back at 5:00 p.m. Trey told me the prescription was being filled at the time. He claimed the system was down for 2 hours. When I tried to talk to him he cut the speaker off at the drive thru.

I am sorry , but the customer service is terrible at our pharmacy. I have 6 people in our family and get a lot of prescriptions filled at Kroger, but after the way I was treated yesterday, I am in the process of looking for a different pharmacy.

The stores quality seems to be getting worse while the prouct is getting higher. I've lived in Southfield for 8 years and I've never seen it this bad. It does not seem to be every Kroger but only this one. I'm not sure if it is Management or the change in the type of people in the area. I'm an association president and a city commissioner so believe me when I say that this is happening. This needs to improve or customers will go elsewhere.

There were 4 people that left the store due to price and quality and went to Meijers on 12 mile and Telegraph. My wife did the same another occassion.

On Sunday December 7th I made a complaint to the customer service desk as I was returning recently purchased baby food that I discovered only seconds before feeding my infant was over 6 months expired! I made an exchange and voiced my concern, for their carelessness with such a serious oversite.

I returned to the same store on Wednesday December 17th, again shopping for food for my baby and was close to making the same mistake, as I noticed only after placing the items in my cart that they too were over 6 months expired! I went back to the service desk with the food that I had pulled from the shelf and after being told by 2 diffrent representitives that was not their department of concern-

Finally, I was given a weak apology and ANOTHER promise of the food being pulled from the shelf. I know as a policy of Kroger that if there is a misprint of price on your reciept, you are entitiled to 5.00 cash back. However, on these 2 seperate events, I was not offered any compensation for my extra travel, serious concern or my utter dissatisfaction! Not to mention that I fear for the mothers and babies that may have consumed the food before noticing that it was bad. I feel that something should be done to prevent that from happening again.

Bridgette of Lagrange, GA December 9, 2008

Bridgette of Lagrange GA (12/09/08)
I visited the 203-A Commerce Avenue in LaGrange, Georgia Kroger on November 26th at 158pm. I visited this store because I thought I would be in and out as well as visiting Walmart the day prior to Thanksgiving would be overwhelming. The store was busy.

With my infant son in tow I wanted to only purchase two items. Infant formula and huggies diapers which totaaled 49.43.

I first gathered my diapers then headed to the customer service desk to purchase my powdered infant formula. Dedra the cashier rang me up. I asked her could I purchase the diapers up at the customer service desk as well she stated yes.

As I was being run up the security alarm went off in the store. As I finished purchasing my items, with an infant in tow I exited to the nearest door.

Walking out of the store the security alarm went off. I looked up at the customer service desk and Dedra waved me on to go ahead. When the alarm went off the FRONT END MANAGER of KROGER VICKIE VIELLIS said mam you can't go that way. I again looked over at Dedra and she waved me on.

With two apporvals I continued out of the store to the cooridor (outside with the carts) Ms. Viellis got up out of her seat, assumming I was stealing items made the comment, What do you have there?. I then looked at her and stated, Look at the lady at the check out she waved me on. She jumped to conclusion and harrassed me.

The fact that her actions warranted that I was stealing made me very upset. I then commented to her again She waved me on you need to talk to the check out desk. I just purchased almost 50 worth at this store and I receive this treatment. I am very upset about this incident and I no longer will shop at Kroger.

I spoke to the Mr. Lyn Brostrom the manager and discussed the incident. I requested in writing a letter of apology. He commented that the front end manager didn't know that Dedra had waved me on. That type of action in the letter was not what I was looking for. I wanted him to say that I advised Ms. V. Viellis regarding the incident and not to jump to conclusions.

I also called the customer service of Kroger and asked for a letter of apology, unfortunately I have not heard from Kroger.

I recently relocated to LaGrange where the is a a limited number of grocery stores. Public, Kroger, and Walmart. I chose that day, Kroger, I didn't expect to be treated as if I were a criminal and will not be returning to any Kroger stores.
