Misty of Winfield AL (02/15/08) While we all were excited about the new supercenter, several co-workers and I knit on a regular basis. We all went to Wal-Mart to purchase yarn for our projects, only to find that this particular Wal-mart does not carry yarn. We would like very much for this particular Wal-Mart to carry looms and yarn and patterns and various different types of sewing items. Please see what you can do to encourage these type of things to be carried in the store.

Fred of Wichita KS (02/13/08) Thank you for all you do for so many communities. I was informed at a number of your stores in Wichita that cross stitch products have been discontinued. I have shopped for years for these items at your stores and have come to rely upon you to supply my craft needs. I do not know your reasoning except to say too bad for us.
Richard of Louisville, IL February 12, 2008
Richard of Louisville IL (02/12/08) I visited the store last night. I purchased Floral for 9.92. I thought it would be a nice surprise for my wife. I bought them early, fresh, so she can enjoy them all week. I selected a nice pleasing arrangement and took them home. When my wife opened the wrapper on the flowers it was horrible. There was a couple dead shriveled up flowers hidden in the middle, most of the stems with buds on them were rotted where they were tied at the bottom, and the base of the flowers were moldy. I received the lecture about isn't she good enough to buy decent flowers for. Am I trying to tell her something. What should have been a joyous occasion, turned into a long lasting disaster. I will not hear the end of this for the rest of my life. I know this because I have been married over 28 years.
Now to add insult to injury - I went to my Friendly Neighborhood WalMart and stopped off at the Customer Service Desk. The nice young lady there greeted me just fine, I asked to speak to the store manager, she wanted to refer me to the CSM, I have had both of my daughters as CSMs at WalMart, and my Mother was a department manager. NO I want to talk to the store manager. The Store Manager is the one that needs to hear this kind of problem. The nice lady called the store manager, she holds her hand over the mouth piece and asks me if it was important, I respond that it is important. The nice lady wants to take my name and number down for her to call me, at this point I was really mad and said no and I thanked her. The department managers are helpless, WalMart has tied their hands so tight that they are ineffective at managing their departments, and people. WalMart is slowly becoming the leader in ineffective marketing to the consumer. When Sam was alive (yes Sam Walton, remember him?) he cared about made in America and being closed on Sunday. I tried to buy some Made in America stuff for Christmas, at WalMart. I just couldn't find it. After this last experience I will take my 1 to 200 dollars a month and buy my stuff elsewhere. Retta of Fayetteville, NC February 10, 2008
Retta of Fayetteville NC (02/10/08) I have purchased several items at the Wal-Mart Center, in Fayetteville NC in the Grocery dept. I am very disappointed in the products, as I have purchased name brand orange juice that was soured, Chili from the dairy section that was molded, vegetables from the produce that was tough, lettuce that was brown inside, bakery products that were in the fresh bakery section that were old and hard, etc. I live 15 miles from the Wal-mart store and it is not feasible for me to take products back, but rather I put them down the garbage disposal. Unless Wal-Mart does a better job at re-stocking and keeping fresh products in their grocer I will no longer purchase from them, but rather go back to our local grocery stores.
I spend approximately 200.00 per week or more on groceries, I want to buy quality products, not house brands, and expect to receive the quality I pay for. For the price of groceries I expect more. Debra of Livingston, MT January 29, 2008
Debra of Livingston MT (01/29/08) On Saturday, January 26, 2008, My daughter and I did our every Saturday shopping at the Walmart store in Bozeman, Mt. We paid for our groceries and goods, and upon exiting the store, the store greeter, an older lady, stopped me from leaving and then proceeded to ask me, did I have my receipt, which I did, in hand as a matter of fact. I was behind my daughter and her children, and I hadn't even gone through the security gates. After some detainment on her part, she finally let me leave the store. My cart was loaded with bags of food and misc items, and underneath on the bottom of the cart was about eight 12 packs of pepsi products, that I had just paid for with my credit card. I found no reason for her to single me out and stop me. I didn't have anything in the cart that I hadn't paid for. It was a very embarrassing situation for me.
So after this elderly woman finally found the date on the receipt, she let me go. I wasn't very happy, so when I got out to the car, I called the store manager, Scott, and told him that I felt it was unnecessary for her to have put me in that embarrassing situation. He then tried to smooth things over and say that he would go down and have a talk with her, which I didn't think he would do. He was very nice and apologetic about the incident, and even though he had all these reasons for stopping people at the door, even before they've gone through your security gates, I just felt violated. I understand they might have a problem with people helping themselves in their stores, but with all the security cameras throughout the stores, I don't see how they can lose any goods. I didn't appreciate being stopped and humiliated in front of so many people on a Saturday, for which there was no reason, and this greeter needs to be put where she can't offend anyone.
