The car has never experienced any road collisions or hazards of any kind. On February 1, 2026 the tires had approx. 8,000 miles on them, the passenger front tire exploded, with a loud bang, while sitting at a stop light. Replacement tire cost me $524.96. It ripped apart from where the tread meets the sidewall about half way around the tire. My dealership sent the tire to Continental and filed a claim. Around May 1st. Continental denied the claim without any explanation. I am attempting to contact them myself but am not holding my breath. I have seen other reviews and pictures complaining about the exact same issue. Don't know why a class action suit has not begun yet. The consumer is left to deal with a huge company that couldn't care less.

I purchased new Continental tires from my BMW dealer in December. In just 3500 miles of interstate driving both front tires have developed bulges. I took the car/tires back to the dealer for replacement and am being told by Continental that it will take up to six weeks for them to process a warranty claim. These are a premium product but the level of customer support is abysmal. Bottom line, skip the Continental tires.

Hello, My name is Essie **. I am writing because I purchased Continental ProContact GX SSR Run Flat tires for $ 1,992.00 on December 6, 2025. On April 21, 2026, I got a FLAT TIRE. This is not the first time I have had Run Flat tires. When I purchased my vehicle, they had Run Flat tires on them. I had nails, screws, and everything else in those tires and not once did they go FLAT. I came outside on the morning of April 21, 2026 and my tire was flat!!! Just like any ordinary tire!!! I called Mavis Tires in Brookhaven, PA, where I had the tires installed and they said, "We don't make the tires." So here I am writing you!!! I am Pissed and Disappointed because these tires are FAKE or SUBPAR!! This is my first and last purchase of Continental Tires!!!! Never Again!!!!

Their customer service is horribly awful. Almost had a blowout on a road trip (was lucky to have found it--tires are only 8 months old). Had to replace with non-Continental tires due to being in the middle of nowhere and lack of options. They told me the warranty could not be honored since I replaced it with non-Continental tires and I would receive no monetary refund.
I asked to speak to a manager, which they refused. Got a call back later that day saying to have Discount Tire Company inspect the tire, implying that they would go forward with it. Got it inspected, and Continental told me they never had any intention on honoring the warranty since I replaced it with non-Continental tires (even though I had no choice in the matter). Oh, and the wear on the tire was too high, even though we've had one small road trip on it and only had it for 8 months? So they led me on, and wasted hours of my time. They do not back up their product, and their customer service is horrible.

We have had 2 bad/faulty tires from this company within the past year. Both tires split at the inner seam of the tire. I called the company, and they were absolutely no help. They said that they are not responsible, and the warranty was not valid if I replaced it with a different brand??? Why would I put another defective tire on my vehicle?? This company is horrible in all ways it can be!!

I just bought 2 Continental garbage tires. After driving less than one mile they were so noisy. I went back to the dealer who sold me the tires and returned them. They were so noisy I couldn't listen to the radio without the sound being up full blast. I got a refund but they charged me for the labor. Pissed me off. They are junk.

Blowout on the beltway... no thanks. I learned too late that this is a pervasive issue - although I have to say that I am confident in absolutely no manufacturer of anything anymore. There is no QC, no accountability and no human to address any issues to - not that anyone would care once they have your money.

I have a Genesis G80 which came equipped with Continental Pro Contact tires. I've had nothing but trouble with them. In the past 4 years, I'd had two blowouts in 2024 and 2025. In January of this year, the left front tire developed a bulge in the tire one month after the tire hazard warranty expired. I wrote a letter, but the company never responded. These tires were expensive almost $800 a tire. Save your money and buy two sets of offshore tires for less.

I have never had a flat tire previous in 45 years of driving. I drive an average of 18 miles per day. Needless to say, I am DONE with these Continental ss tires. Not only are they unpredictable, but dangerous given the sudden flats.

Tires, not even at 60000 km (37282 Miles) and already about to need to be replaced. Poor build quality, poor longevity, doesn't work great in winter, manages, but I'd say closer to a dollar store brand of tire, which is probably why GM put it on their new vehicles, no care for quality.

Buyers beware of continental fake tires and advertising advertisement. Buy Good Year tires. They honor their warranty.

In August 2023, I purchased four Continental tires that were advertised with a $110 mail-in rebate. The rebate was a deciding factor in my purchase. I submitted the required rebate form and proof of purchase by mail within the promotional period. Approximately six weeks later, when I had not received the rebate, I followed up with Continental. I followed up again the following year when reinstalling the tires and again this year. Despite providing proof of purchase and promotional materials, Continental has refused to issue the rebate, stating that they have no record of my submission and that the promotion period has closed.
I complied with all instructions provided at the time of purchase and submitted the rebate within the advertised timeframe. This situation highlights a significant issue with their rebate processing, as my multiple timely attempts to follow up over the past two years were not resolved. I want to share my experience to inform other consumers about this issue. I encourage anyone relying on mail-in rebates from Continental to carefully track submissions and follow up promptly.

I purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Malibu 2LT with 18000 miles. The car came with Continental Tires and since April 2025 when I bought the car, I had all 4 tires replaced twice under a Tire & Wheel warranty. Thank goodness I bought this warranty or it would have costed me thousands!! Each tire was $290 plus installed. Also the rims/wheels were all replaced as well $600 each because when the tires failed it caused the rims to crack. I have never seen a tire rip and tear on the sidewalls and just last week after hitting a big pothole, both front tires developed a bulge on the sidewalls.
Listen, I'm 53 years old, and during my lifetime of driving, owning and leasing 17 cars, I have NEVER EVER had problems with any of the tires I had on any of those cars and SUVs. This is the first time having Continental tires on my car and as long as the warranty company keeps replacing the tires, I will keep these tires. After the warranty expires I am running, not driving lol, over to the nearest dealership and having them replaced with Michelins. Shame on you Continental for manufacturing tires that could be dangerous to drive on!! Blowouts are the worst, especially at high speeds. Everyday I get into my car, I have to do a visual inspection to make sure there are no tears or bulges.
One last thing, the road noise is horrible!! Sometimes while I'm driving and talking on the phone over Bluetooth, I have to raise the volume just so I can hear what the person is saying. Again, I have never had a car with any kind of road noise like I have with this car, and it's because of the tires. Everyone that rides in my car asked me, "what the hell is that noise"? I tell them it's either the tires or the poor sound dampening from the car itself. I won't know for sure where the noise is coming from until I change brand of tires. Until then, I just turn the volume up on my radio. I hope this detailed review helped out others.

Took our car in for oil change and told we need new tires. The problem is we put new tires on almost exactly 3 years ago and 25,000 miles. Very unhappy these tires have worn so poorly. Checked with customer service on warranty and you have to buy a new set, then send in the tires for them to determine if they will cover under warranty. I think tires wearing out this quickly means you have poor quality and the tires should be covered. Will never buy this brand again.

Bought a brand new 2023 Chevy Suburban (Premier) with factory Continental tires 275/60/R20. Regular dealer tire rotations and I just hit 29K. Tires are completely worn down and bald. Tread life warranty was rated for 70k. No explanation as I do not tow anything and live in a reasonably easy climate (socal). Yet here I am fighting with Continental Tire customer service for prorated replacement tires or some kind of action on their part. The Chevy dealership took measurements and submitted all the material as requested with photos. Continental didn't even bother to offer a discount to try them again. Bought a lot of tires in my lifetime and have never seen a company in denial like this. Stay clear of them - they do not stand by their products whatsoever. Stay clear and go with a tire brand that is trusted and stands by their warranty.

Continental Tires offered a $120 rebate on a set of four tires. However, the required receipts for the rebate were not provided by Discount Tire when the tires were installed and my on-line purchase receipt wasn't adequate for the rebate. Purchased 4 brand new, higher end, Continental Tires from Mavis on 5/31. Rebate offering of $110 on purchase of 4 tires didn't start until 6/1 (as in, the next day), which happened to fall on a Sunday, when most mechanics/shops would be closed. Nevertheless, I submitted my receipt and filled out all the appropriate paperwork online, and it got rejected/declined.
I called the Continental tire customer service, and they didn't do very much for me. And you know what? Neither did Mavis. So I'm never going to do business with either of them, ever again. $110 is not a lot of money, but over $1,000 for 4 tires is, and that $110 could have helped me to pay for everything. And much like Amazon or Dell, or even United Airlines, Continental tires rebates have people working for $2.50 per hour in the Philippines or wherever, who barely speak English fluently. And more so, who were rude, obnoxious, inconsiderate, and not the least bit accommodating to a long time customer. Garbage company. I should have gone with Michelin!

I bought 4 Continental tires/General tires 4 years ago. The tires were supposed to last 70,000 miles. 2 of the tires failed after about 35,000 miles. Small chunks of rubber were coming off these 2 tires and one went flat because the chunk came off. I contacted Continental Tires because there was a recall due to improper manufacturing on some of their tires. I was advised to go to a retailer that carried their brand and ask their opinion of the the defective tires. In good faith I asked the retailer to install 2 Continental/General tires that most closely matched the 2 defective tires. I asked the tire store to examine the 2 defective tires when install the new tires. They were not sure what the cause of the chunks of rubber coming off was.
When I returned from the tire store, I contacted Continental/General and told them that I bought 2 of their tires but explained that there were unsure of the reason for failure. The Continental/General defect department that I should have told the retailer to hold the tires for evaluation. Unfortunately the retailer was not able to retrieve the defective tires. Continental/General told me that they could not offer an adjustment to my cost because the tires were not available. I understood and accepted their excuse, but asked that the tires that I just bought were on a rebate program and asked if they would allow me to get the rebate if I went back to the retailer and bought 2 more tires. I thought this would be a win/win situation. I was told NO because the rebate required the 4 tires be bought at the same time. I appealed to their consumer department and was told NO.
I will advise anyone who is buying tires to beware of customer support of the company that makes the tires. I could have purchased tires for 1/2 the cost and got longer tire life than these premium priced Continental/ General tires. I advise anyone considering Continental/General Tires to ask about their warranty and product recall procedure.

Borderline dangerous to drive in wet weather, I'm taking them back to exchange them for a different brand.
