5-10-2026 I just purchased 2 new sets of Michelin tires. One set for my Toyota 4Runner the LTX M/S2, and my 2007 BMW 335i. Both sets had to have them rebalanced 2 time due to a vibration between 60-70 MPH, they still have a slight vibration in the 4 runner but I am trading it in so don't really care, My BMW the same issue. A steering wheel vibration at 60-70 after road force balancing 2 times. They could not get rid of the vibration, Discount Tire switched them out for Continental Tires, Rides 10 times better and no vibration. The set on BMW was made in Mexico and the 4 runner's set was made in Canada. I think Michelin tires quality has gone down hill. After buying michelin for over 40 years, Never again!!!!

Michelin I’m starting to see the quality over 8 years getting worse. Reason I state this, I purchase 10 ply tires. Pulling 8-10k lbs. Applying the brakes and broke the belts in tires. I had to replace the tires. My last pair was 5 years old and recently broke the belt again. Tires had excellent thread left, so I drove it to get tires replace. Driving 55 mph the tire separated and damage the right rear of my fender just like a recap from 18th wheeler. I call the company sent them pictures of the tires replace, threads and damage. No help. The tires cost a lot of money and company has no honor. I’m sharing this to see if people are experiencing same issues.

This is regarding Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires. The quieting acoustic foam in them detached prematurely and I had to replace the tires early. When the foam detaches the car shakes violently at 65 mph. Since I bought the car with the tires installed I got no relief. I have reached out to Michelin to complain. Let’s see if they respond.

I just put a brand new set of Bridgestone tires on my 2021 Mazda CX-5. I had put on at Costco in Brighton Mi on 1:9:2026 and today is 3/20/2026. For the last 3 weeks hearing this noise I took into auto shop as scared to drive on highway. They cleared the mechanics of the car but said, "Your tires are cupping."- Never heard that phrase before but that is what is making the noise when you are going over 65 miles on highway.. Not dangerous but noisy. So I called Michelin and got a claim number then Costco called me and they were like “ tough shit”. Didn’t care — Seriously new tires and all I wanted was that one replaced - NOPE. Another screwed customer. So beware. Stay away from Michelin Tires.

The reviews are true at 1.7 stars! Terrible - Should be ashamed of themselves - All tread readings perfect — Brand new! Now Costco different story - They are working out a deal with me! I am 68 years old. Many sets of tires in my life and I am telling you Michelin Tires did nothing - Wiped their hands clean - Never seeing the tires. Never driving the car after the inspection report - Terrible. You don’t deserve 1.7 stars. You deserve 0 for customer service.

In February of this year, I was pulling my 41‑foot fifth‑wheel camper with my Ford F‑250. I was using Michelin tires that I had purchased approximately two and a half years earlier. While traveling on I‑10 in Mississippi, I experienced a blowout on the truck’s rear passenger-side tire. I am convinced that the durable construction of the tire prevented the truck from losing control and allowed me to safely reach the shoulder, where I changed to my spare. That experience made a lasting impression. Today, I had four brand-new Michelin LTX Platinums installed on my truck because of the confidence your product gave me.

Anyone who tows large recreational equipment understands the importance of reliability and peace of mind. I experienced both with Michelin. I want to extend my sincere gratitude for the quality and engineering that went into these tires, and I look forward to many more miles on Michelin products. As a note, I was not able to add my picture of the damaged tire, but I would be more than happy to email if necessary.

After seeing an ad by Michelin tire company offering an $80 rebate on the purchase of 4 new tires I went on a search for the best price like anyone would. I received 3 different companies that had the tires I needed. The best one being my local Ram dealership offering buy 3 get 1 for a dollar. The price at Tire Kingdom was $318 for each tire and at the Ram dealership had them for $371 each which is obviously higher but they were giving me one for a dollar bringing each tire to $278.50 each. But when I submitted my rebate claim it was denied because I had taken advantage of a sale at my local Ram dealership. There were several other tires i could have purchased at a lower price but decided to buy the Michelin tires because of their rebate incentive. I feel I was taken advantage of a a company's scrupulous tactics to trick people into buying their products instead of others.

Same problem again as I must replace my Michelin tires despite having perfect tread due to dry rotting or severe cracks. Based on my experience I do not recommend Michelin tires to anyone who drives under 15,000 miles a year. The tire material tends to break down as a result of age much faster than actual use or mileage.

In 2018 my wife and I purchased a brand new Volvo X40 from Tasca Volvo in Cranston RI. We have had the car which my wife drives and has less than 39,000 miles over seven years. During a recent service for air conditioning recharge, Tasca Volvo in Cranston RI did a full vehicle check and determined that my wife's tires would not pass inspection. The car had sixty to seventy thousand miles warranted tires, Michelins that were original on the car. The car had less than 39,000 miles but upon inspection at Tasca, I verified the tires were bald and unsafe. I argued with Tasca that the car was barely drive nine thousand miles a year and should not be in this condition. I received explanations from required rotations that were not done to being told that the cars engine is very heavy and wore the tires out prematurely. Tasca indicated that nothing could be done and the matter was Michelins, the tire company.

I called Michelin and filed a complaint regarding the tires and what my wife and I had experienced. They took my information and I learned that Michelin Tires Corporate called Tasca for reports on the tires. Several days later I received a call from Michelin denying our complaint. Michelin was no longer interested in determining why their tires wore prematurely as they did or concerned that their tires deteriorated in less than half the mileage warranted which could have caused serious circumstances. Instead, they were able to determine that our tire warranty expired several months earlier other than tires that failed in less than half the mileage they should have.

As consumers, we have options including dealerships and providers of tires so buyers beware, Michelin may talk a good show but when the tires hit the pavement Michelin has no interest in addressing your complaints or issues. Although I understand warranties under normal circumstances, the wear and mileage alone should have clearly determined that a problem existed with the tires instead of throwing my wife and I to the curbing like two homeless people. Shame on you Michelin your lack of inconsideration has now cost my wife and I an additional cost of $1,200.00 to replace your defective tires. Consumers, BEWARE OF MICHELIN AND THEIR LIES shop elsewhere you have many options.

Beware that Michelin will not honor a 60-day warranty if you have to file a second claims for tires that are not performing as they should for your vehicle. I have a 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid still in good condition per my Toyota dealer's diagnostic report that was done to determine if there was something mechanically wrong with my vehicle to cause the mileage to go from 40 mpg down to 30 mpg. The Toyota's diagnostic did not find anything mechanically wrong with my vehicle that would cause such a significant drop in fuel consumption. The CrossClimate2 tires I had installed are a heavier tire and not the fuel-efficient type of tires for my vehicle. In talking with a Michelin customer service advisor he recommended for warranty replacement the BF Goodrich Advantage Control or Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring A/S.

I had the BF Goodrich Advantage Control tires installed only to find out they are also not a fuel-efficient tire for my vehicle. I needed a fuel-efficient tire that has low rolling resistance to maximize fuel economy which neither of the tires I tried provided. The manager of the tire center that installed the tires stated to me the proper tire for my vehicle is the Michelin Primacy tires that is a quiet tire, low-resistance tire for better fuel economy. The Michelin customer service advisor did not give me the option of the Michelin Primacy tires would be the best tires for hybrid. It is very disappointing that the Michelin Company will not honor their 60-day warranty for tires regardless if it's a second warranty for a product that is not the proper fuel economy performing tires for my vehicle. Michelin is losing a lifetime consumer of their products for not standing behind their warranty.

These are good tires but the 45,000 mile tread wear warranty is not what it appears to be. To get any compensation for premature wear, the tires need to be LESS than 2/32 of an inch in tread depth. At 35,000 miles, my tires still had more than 2/32 of an inch so were not considered "worn out" by the dealer and still "safe". However, in heavy rain, they hydroplane and in snow they are useless. I had to replace them because to me hydroplaning and no traction is NOT safe. I'm betting 90% of drivers would agree that this level of tire wear is not safe.

Each tire was replaced with a different Michelin tire (Cross Climate 2), and I was rewarded with no ($0) reimbursement for the lost tire mileage. That really stung. The greatest disappointment was how Michelin wiggled out of honoring their warranty promise, based on the age of the tire tread evaluation (~2.5 months) whereas their arbitrary policy limits that to 30 days (which is a detail that is not included in their warranty information). FYI, tires do NOT, EVER, increase in tire depth with use, so the policy has little justification.

When I took my car to a mechanic after driving from Florida to Ohio, I had a mechanic look at the tires and tell me "You are lucky you made it here alive."
