Fisher Price makes a lot of toys. Maybe it's not surprising some of those toys and other products turn out to have problems ranging from minor to serious but many parents we hear from think the company could do a better job of dealing with the problems.

Besides the complaints in this section, be sure to check our Recalls Section for last-minute recalls.

I, also purchased a Smart Cycle for my 4 year old. It was given to him as a Christmas present; which he could not enjoy, because we had to return it to Toys R us two days after giving it to him.(The toy all of a sudden shut down; wouldn't start or anything.) Needless to say the store did not have any in stock! Therefore my child was left without a toy. I purchased another one in March; thinking maybe the first one was just a bad one. Four months later the cycle yet failed my child once more. I would like very much to be compensated ($125.00) for the Smart Cycle and game that my son can never enjoy.

Economically I could have puy that money on something else educational, as well as fun for my son.

Anna of Hesperia CA (06/28/08)
Purchased a Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo. My grandson loves to jump. There are 3 animal figures on the jumper. Only 2 sway back and forth. The 3rd one only moves slightly. My grandson slid his little hand forward underneath it and got caught.could not get his hand out. It was like a trap. Good thing he was not jumping at the time. just started crying. Had to push the figure forward to release his hand. Very dangerous!

Michelle of Arkadelphia, AR (05/25/08)
I bought my son a Fisher Price Smart Cycle for Christmas. It wasn't even a week before the left pedal fell off. I bought two $25 games to go with it (and for $25 the graphics are reminiscent of the first Nintendo game system quality).

This company should've made stronger parts! After all, kids are going to push any toy to its limits!

Debra of Ballarat OTHER (05/20/08)
I believed Fisher Price to be the best brand when choosing products for my 6 mth old baby. Recently I brought a teething ring which popped the very next day in my babies hands so it wasn't misused in anyway.I just wanted to write to let you know our dissapointment for paying the price and then not having the product for very long, maybe their was a bad batch sent out to shops or something, and I was enquiring as to refund. Thankyou,

Jack of Cape Coral FL (05/18/08)
I recently bought a Fisher-Price Music & Lights Auto Mirror toy to keep my daughter entertained while driving. There is a plastic piece the switches from music only to lights only to both music & lights. This plastic piece was removed by my child and found in her hand. It is a little smaller than the size of a dime (1/2 inch) in width and has two posts that protrude off the back approximately of inch.

My concern is she could have swallowed this plastic piece which would have to be surgically removed if had made it into her stomach. She could have had complete obstruction and chocked to death. Please help this company fix the problem before there is a terrible outcome.

My 19 month old son was playing with their cookie jar shape sorter when he dropped it on his finger almost takin off the fingertip and shattered the bone in his fingertip!!

I dialles 999 got him to hospital where he was stitched up and put in a bandage and given antibiotics and given painkillers!!Was very traumatic for all of us!

Cara of Norwalk CT (04/27/08)
My son was playing with the Fisher Price, Little People, Racing Ramps Garage. He leaned over it to push the cars down the ramp and a flag poked him in the eye. it has a rounded edge but was not smooth. he cried for a while but stopped. he complained later but fell asleep. when he woke up the next morning he couldnt even open his eye. we had to take him to the ER and found out he had a corneal abrasion.

My son had to be taken to the emergency room. he had to be held down to have several different drops put in hid eyes. they alsop had to doa test with a blacklight which required them to put drops that glow in his eyes and turn the light off. through all of this he had to be held down since he would not cooperate. he is only 3. he had a very tramatic experience due to the injury he recieved at the hands of fisher price's toy.

Michelle of Holbrook NY (04/14/08)
I had purchased a baby swing that was made by Fisher Price from Toys R Us 2 years ago. I have been using it on and off for the children I take care of as a child care provider. I recently used it for my newborn baby girl and while she was in the swing I smelled something funny. When I looked over the swings' motor went on fire. Thank God I grabbed my daughter out of the swing.

It was a very tramatic experience for me, had I not reacted in time, the worst could have happened to my daughter. The swing is now damaged as a result of it.I still have the receipt for the swing.

Susan of Mullica Hill NJ (04/06/08)
I, too, purchased the Fisher Price Smart Cycle for my 3 year-old daughter for Christmas. Two days after Christmas, the right pedal fell off. Fisher Price promptly sent us another pedal, free of charge. However upon trying to replace it, we realized the threads were stripped, so it was useless. My brother-in-law obtained a tap kit or whatever the tool is called that rethreads a stripped bolt. We successfully replaced the pedal (mind you, this was months later, so my daughter was not able to use her Smart Cycle, nor the 4 games we purchased to go along with it!). She used the bike with the new pedal and after another two or three days, the right pedal fell off again. I have seen countless bad reviews for this same problem on Toys R Us' website, and I firmly believe Fisher Price should be paying more attention to their customer's opinions of their products; particularly when I receive an email the other day from them, bragging about the Smart Cycle being voted the best new toy!!!!!

The consequence is we are yet again stuck with a $100 bike and 4 games, priced at around $24.95 each, which are useless to us.

Alicia of Hinesville GA (03/29/08)
I have used the Rain Forest Jumperoo only 3 times for my son and already the seat continues to become unlatched and fall through. SERIOUS DANGER FOR BABIES. MAJOR INJURY POSSIBLE

My son hit the floor but it could have dislocated his shoulders the way he came down, or even worse.

Bryan of Mcdonough GA (03/17/08)
I bought my 3-year-old the Smart-Cycle. He didn't really pay much attention to it until recently. My wife and I were so excited that he finally took an interest in this toy. Day two of actually playing with it, the pedal falls off. Although the pedal had a threaded bolt that screws into the crank, it appears that the manufacturer didn't use it as such because all the threads were flat as if they took a mallet and just beat the bolt into the crank. Now my 3- year-old throws a fit every time he sees the smart cycle with a broken pedal. Thanks Fisher-Price, for nothing.

Brandie of Taylor MI (03/05/08)
I purchased the Fisher Price Smart Cycle for my three year old son and he has only played on it a few times. The pedals keep falling off.And the games keep messing up.I paid 90 dollars for a bike my son can't play on. They don't sell the games in any stores because the game system is seasonal they say. I wish I would've known that before I spent hard earned money for it.

Vanessa of Bell Gardens CA (02/24/08)
My 8 month old was playing with a Fisher Price butterfly toy I purchased. The toy butterfly has cloth like antennas and I notice that my daughter was gagging on something so I looked inside her mouth and it was the cloth material from the toy which had come apart from the butterfly. The threading had come apart as my daughter was playing with the toy and as every baby does my daughter had the toy in her mouth. I feel that this could have done serious damage to my baby and fisher price should consider evaluating the toy for a recall. I purchase a lot of things from fisher price and should also be compensated for the inconvience. Considering the fact that the toy happens to be a teether, Fisher Price should inspect this toy carefully. Toy Number H9463. Ont.Reg.No.24L4483.

Lilly of La Grange Park IL (01/16/08)
I purchased the Ocean swing for my newborn. It worked for about 3 months before the lights that should go around with the fish attachments coming down stopped moving, it just makes this ugly, annoying sound. I can't turn it off because that will just turn the whole swing off and that defies the purpose. After a couple of frustrating tries to fix it, I gave up on it all together. I also bought the double stroller (sit and stand) and the wheels tend to go to the right. I had barely used it when the wheels started to go loose, could not push it around anymore, then the handle that is supposed to fold it started to get stuck making it really difficult to fold and unfold.

Connie of Maud TX (01/04/08)
I bought my 5 1/2 month old grandson a Rainforest Jumperoo for Christmas. He loved it until it came crashing down on him. The strap came loose from the metal bar under the seat while he was jumping and he fell to the tile floor. This incident happened yesterday 12/3/08. As far as we can tell other than crying very hard and scaring his mother to tears he is ok. I have tried to contact the store mgr. of Walmart where I purchased this jumper with no response from them. I have tried to call an employee with Fisher Price that I found on the internet and left a brief message regarding what happened to my grandson with no response. Someone needs to hear this and do something about it before a child is hurt.

My grandson was screaming from falling to the floor. My grandson's mother was extremely upset as you can imagine.

Kelley of Pueblo CO (12/03/07)
I have the regular size Fisher-price Rainforest swing. The number on the swing is J8518. There are 2 elastics on the bottom of the seat material that are supposed to attach to 2 little tabs on the underside of the seat part of the swing. I suppose with this and the seat belt that comes in the seat, the material is not supposed to slip. But my elastics don't fit snugly, and on more than one occasion, my child has almost slipped through the opening in the swing seat. He is 17 lbs., so he should still be able to sit in the seat safely.

Tammy of Axtell KS (12/02/07)
I bought the Fisher Price Rainforest cradle swing at Walmart in Marysville, KS, for my newborn in October this year. The swing worked for only 2 months! Our baby is now only 12 pounds, and the motor will not swing her.

The swing is useless if it won't swing! I would like a new motor or a refund!

Cheri of Newport Beach CA (11/08/07)
I have a 2004 Ocean Wonders Aquarium bouncer. On Nov. 2002, My 2 year and 3 year old child rested on the toybar above to see their infant brother in the bouncer and the toybar came crashing down on my childs head. The hinges allow the toybar to completely fold backwards giving ZERO clearance to the childs head as well as the bottom portion of the bouncer where the head lies. My 2 month old 12.12 lbs received head trama and brusing to the forhead noted by the doctor. Please contact me.

I was looking on the internet after my baby was injured to see if there was a recall on this product. There had been previous complaints and looks as if someone complained in 2006 which Fisher Price obviously was aware of, but never recalled the product. According to my doctor, my child could have been killed and this could have been prevented since Fisher Price was aware of this in 2006.

Karen of Elgin IL (11/08/07)
CHOKING HAZARD!!! My son was given the Fisher Price Baby Gymnastics Play Wall Activity Gym as a gift about 9 months ago. He was recently playing with it when, to my horror, I turned around and saw him CHOKING! The plug on the inflatable ball that is suspended from the toy had come off in his mouth, and was lodged in his throat.

Thank God I was able to safely reach part of the plug with my finger and pull it from his throat. PLEASE be very careful with this product. If you have one, contact Fisher Price and let them know that you are aware of this matter. I have reported this to them and I'm waiting to hear back for more details.

Beth Riddell of Long Beach CA (10/03/07)
I bought the Amazing Animals Train by Fisher Price for my grandson. It seemed safe and sturdy, however the other day as he is learning to walk, he stumbled backwards and sat on the giraffe. I didnt realize it till our 5 year old told me that the leg broke off. The hinge came apart in a few pieces, leaving very small pieces of plastic that are actually a bit sharp. I was surprised that it broke so easily. Im sure it hyperextended when he fell on it.

I am concerned about letting him play with the other animals, I Hope they are safe, this is a favorite toy, particularly the giraffe. I am tempted to let him play with the 3 legged giraffe, but there is a screw inside or some other piece of fastening metal. I would like the toy replaced and assurances that the toy is safe.

Fisher-Price Aquarium Bouncer Seat -- My 5 mounth old granddaughter can lean over and hang down between back of seat and bars that goes up for aquarium piece.

She can not sit up by herself but still can lean over and reach to floor and then she is just hanging from seat belt. There needs to be something to stop a infant from hanging over like this it is unsafe and could result in a infant getting hurt.

Angie Walker of Monroe LA (06/27/07)
My 8 month old granddaughter was sitting in the Fisher - Price Rainforest Jumper and it seat fell which we thought the bar locked underneath and it does not.

April M. Cole of Clarksville TN (06/06/07)
My baby was is the Fisher Price swing, and his head was caught in the swing, between the bars on the swings.

Angelia of Ofallon MO (06/06/07)
My 4 month old has the open top safari swing that was just realled. She was in it and within seconds her head lodged in between the bars. It was awful. It took me and my husband both to get her out. Fortunately there's no real injuries other than a bump. When i took a look at the swing i realized how stupid the person had to be that made this. I'm not someone that makes children's equipment but I would have thought that someone who did would have looked at this thing and realized how awful it was made!

Kristin of Maple Valley WA (05/29/07)
High chair continually pinches my 1yearolds little fingers. I cannot put her in there without her getting her fingers severely pinched. This is sooo frustrating. I need to buy a new highchair. She gets her fingers stuck between the tray and the actual highchair and cannot get them out. It's awful.. It has been happening everytime she is put in the chair. So I am having to get rid of it....it's a waste of money.

Laura Deschler of Waupaca WI (05/11/07)
One day I tried to put my 6 month old in the cradle swing and it tipped all the way over. After 20 min. of him screaming I looked at the bottom of the swing and found the button on the ground it had twisted off.

My son had a huge headache and a bruise on his head. I can no longer use the swing.

Bambi of Nashville TN (03/28/07)
My daughters have been injured because of your product! I have a 3 year old and a 20 month old, and both of them have been hurt while playing with a toy that was purchased in 2004. It is a green case like toy made to hold stackable blocks inside, and the top of the case is where you're supposed to stack the blocks. The age on the box said 1 1/2, and I put it up until my first daughter was old enough to play with it. The day she played with it, it closed hard on her finger!

I put it up, and waited until she turned 3 then got it out again. My 20 month old, who is plenty old for the toy, grabbed it today, and this time, the top slammed on her finger. I'm outraged that they can put a recommended age on the box, but can't put a caution about the case! As a result, both of my girls had gotten hurt while playing with a toy meant for their age!?!?!

Dawn of Hemet CA (03/27/07)
I bought a Fisher Price Ocean Wonders, Aquarium Swing for my newborn son, about 5 months ago. The mobile on the device, in my opinion never worked right in the beginning and now has totally stopped working all together. My son loves the swing and the light, but cannot enjoy the full affect of the mobile. As a mother of three (5yrs, 2yrs, & 5month old) I depended on the swing to keep the baby's attention while I'm busy with all the things I need to get done throughout the day.

I've mentioned this at a play group and have found that other mothers that have the same swing, had the same problem. I am very disapointed with the quality of the swing and hope that your company has a way to remedy the situation.

Darci of Cambridge, England (02/14/07)
i bought the Amazing animals Sing and Choo choo an award winning product from Fisher Price! My daughter whom is only 7months loves this toy set. After only a month or so one of the animals limbs are very loose. I would like a replacement. I have attempted to find a way to contact the company online with no success. I have always thought of Fisher Price as a quality making toy company as I have often purchased there toys for my older daughter! Fisher Price needs to step up when it comes to customer service!

Salley of Fpo Ap CA (02/10/07)
I recently bought a GO DIEGO ADVENTURE DOLL, and the head fell off. The tab that is in the body around the neck, is to big so the head does not stay on the doll. I was unable to return the doll to the store, and was told to send it back to the manufacturerer. I do not have the original box it came in so I can not look to see the address. I am unable to find an address on the websites listed since I did not buy the toy online. I am in the military and am currently in Okinawa Japan.

Melissa Anderson of Seward NE (02/02/07)
The Kick and Play Bouncer Seat that we purchased 3 months ago, stopped working due to a faulty on/off switch. We phoned the company only to be told that we could purchase another one at a higher cost that we paid for the one we have. Customer Service never offered any suggestions on how to fix it, nor did they offer to replace it.

No physical damage was caused, we are just out of the $40.00 that we paid for the product and it would appear that Fisher Price has gotten so big that they do not care that they lost a customer.

Audrey of Rochester NY (12/13/06)
The Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Cradle/Swing may have a defect....the bolt that holds the swing (with a loc-nut) broke. I'm glad my baby wasn't sitting in it at the time.

Stephanie of Brockville, Canada (12/06/06)
I purchased a Fisher Price Aquarium high chair for my son who is 15 months old. We purchased it last January 2006 but it sat in the box for about another three months until my son was ready to eat baby food. Then when we did get it out it was hardly used because it was just easier to feed him on my lap now that he is able to eat from the highchair and does so at every meal, i noticed that the padding is beginning to rip.

I am really disappointed and infuriated by this because i spent a lot of money on the chair so that i could have something nice and something that would last for when i have more children. I thought that Fisher Price was a good quality and would last for a while that is why i didn't choose a cheaper brand, but i might just of well have because the chair hasn't even lasted a year and has hardly been used except for the last 5 months. I would never buy or recommend anyone else to purchase this chair.

Melissa of Layton UT (08/26/06)
Hi, I am just letting you know never to buy a stroller made from Fisher Price. I know it's a good named brand for children but I've had my first problem with it. In July of 2006 my dad had bought me a double stroller made from Fisher Price. I thought it was convenient because I had two girls and I was tired of using separate strollers. Anyways, the first several times I've used it I was upset because the front wheels don't pivot too well.

My oldest daughter sits in the front and my youngest sits in the back. When I push the stroller the wheels turn more to the right instead of the direction that I want to push it in. And this is when the front wheels are not locked to go straight. And the handles are crooked. And the back does not stay in the part where the back wheels are at. I had to super glue it so it stays in its place. Anyways, just wanted to let you know that the wheels on these strollers SUCK!

And the parts are uneven... I wanted to think that it was the weight of the children that make it hard for me to push or turn the stroller. But it's not.

Shelly of Schoharie NY (07/31/06)
My complaint is on the Aquarium Play Yard. On the sides of the play yard (inside) is this orange patch that has warnings listed on it. One warning that you forgot to mention is that the orange color that is used flakes off and ends up all over babies hands. At first I didnt know what it was. My daughters hands face and obviously mouth had orange flakes all over. I looked around the play yard and saw that when she stands up and holds where the warning label is flakes on her hands and then she rubs her face and puts her hands in her mouth. I would assume that the stuff is not toxic but I imagine it is still not good for babies to be ingesting.

Erika of Salem WI (04/17/06)
I own a Fisher-Price bounce, model # C5859/79636/B8865. The bouncer has a musical attachment to the seat that goes in front and above the infant while sitting in the bouncer seat. The battery compartment for themusical attachment faces the baby. It uses 3 AA batteries. There were 3 AA Duracell batteries in there. My 3 month old was sitting in the bouncer with the music playing when one of the AA Duracell batteries exploded in the compartment. The pressure was so strong that the battery acid came out of the battery compartment and injured my infant's eye. My daughter might have not been injured had the battery compartment been located on the other side of the musical away from the baby sitting in the seat.

Visible redness, swelling and irritation on the skin around the baby's eye. Redness of the white of baby's eye, tearing and she was unable to open it for a period of time. The upper eyelid had been burned. We had a visit to the E.R. and a pediatrician for the eye injury. We have a visit scheduled with an eye doctor to further check for eye scarring or retina damage.

Meliisa Hoagland of Ypsilanti MI (04/06/06)
I purchased a Fisher Price Calming Vibrations chair ID # 00975-1013 for my daughter. She is 8 months old. I had her strapped in the chair as the directions stated...in the rocking position. She reached forward to play with her toes and the chair pitched forward and she fell over with the chair still strapped to her. She fell face first onto the floor and hit her face on the floor and her face was pushed into the floor...she could not move her head. She could have suffocated and could have been severly injured.

Mikki of Otsego MN (03/05/06)
We own the Baby Gymnastics Activity Tunnel and the ACtivity Wall for our 9 month old daughter. While I think this is a great concept, I feel there are some major design flaws with the Activity Tunnel. It tips over on top of any child trying to stand up. The wall has great footings to keep it sturdy, but the tunnel is not sturday at all.

No serious injuries to my child, but after it tipping over on top of her a couple of times, I have put the tunnel away.

Lydia of Burnaby, Canada (02/06/06)
the metal frame on the ocean wonders aquarium bouncer snapped resulting in the bouncer collapsing while my 4 month old baby was in it. model # 79030

My baby could have been seriously injured and i believe this is a good enough reason to recall the product. Fisher price has requested that I send the product to them to inspect.

Diane of Hammond IN (08/08/05)
I have now bought 2 fisher price aquarium swings for my granddaughters when they were born. They seem to like the mobiles on the swing which incidently only worked for about 2 weaks. The swings are now useless for these babies since we use the older swings that mobiles still work.

Danielle of Farmingdale NY (07/13/05)
I recently purchased the Fisher price Take along swing. This morning while changing my 18 month old son I heard my 5 month old daughter making a strange noise. It sounded like a cross between chocking and trying to cry. I hurried into the living room to find that her head was caught between the two poles of the swing and was in fact suffocating her.

I had difficulty getting her out of the position and was clearly in a panic which my son could clearly see. Although he is just 18 months this caused him to panic. Needless to say I finally got her out of the position which left a red mark around her neck where she was stuck.

The fear of watching my daughter suffocating and having my son hanging on my leg confused and frightened by my panic is indescribable. I am happy with most Fisher price products but I feel that this should be bought to the public's attention before there is a fatality.

Dina of Vancouver WA (07/07/05)
I purchased a fisher price ocean wonders aquarium cradle swing and the direction said it can be machine washed. I washed it in cold water and dried it on low but it melted and shrunk.

I now have a very expensive swing with no seat cover.

Minerva of River Rouge MI (07/04/05)
I purchased the Dora the Explorer Van or bus and the wheels are very noisey. Like the tires are too close to the plastic sides and they rub together and it makes a horrible skreeching sound and off course my daughter will not stop playing with it but it is very irritating .Just wondering if they are all like this or is this a manufacturers defect. Would like a response via e-mail address Thank You

Anthony of Mentone AL (07/03/05)
I owen a Sawasaki ninja power wheels, eight months ago I had the gears replaced under warranty. Now eight months from then the gears are bad again. This is clearly a poorly designed part. I can't buy just the part to install it myself, I have to pay $100.00 to have it replaced. Since it is a defect I think Fisher price should replace it.

Jody of Vanderhoof, Canada (05/11/05)
The Fisher Price Healthy Start High chair has a spot underneath the tray that my daughter has got her foot stuck in many times. The pole that comes up between their legs to help hold them in, doesn't come up the whole way to meet the tray. It is here that her little leg gets wedged.

My daughter ended up with some very disturbing and prominent marks on her ankle where it was lodged in there. Not only one time but many times.

Kristina of Woodburn OR (04/29/05)
We have two of the Fisher Price Motorized Jeeps for our children. Our sons jeep has a rear motor burnt out. We called Fisher Price to get a new motor sent to us. There are no service centers in the state of Oregon. Closest is Seattle, WA. They will not ship one to us! So we have a $300.00 toy that can not be used. Fisher Price wants us to ship the toy to Seattle to have it repaired.

Maureen of Conshohocken PA (03/10/05)
My 17 month old grandson was playing with the activity cube tha you use the peek a boo blocks with. There are 5 different activities that you can do with this cube. He was playing with it yesterday and his knee got caught in the stack side of the cube and we had to pry his knee out of it. It left a nice lump and bruise on his knee. I wanted to let you know that this is a top rated toy and it was awesome until last night. He screamed because his knee really got lodged in there.

Linda of Homewood IL (02/13/05)
I purchased the Sesame Street Talking Cell phone for my 17 month old son at Target. When I saw the item on the shelf I liked the idea that is was educational to my son. The phone was loud enough to hear my son like the music and the numbers Elmo would say. To my dismay after I got home I took the phone out of the box only to find the the volume of the phone decreased significatatly and after examining the box there were instructions stating the volume of the phone would decrease after it was taken out of the box. Why wasn't that noticed menitoned on the box why is after I purchase the phone, and find the manual is when it informs me of this.

I'm very disapppointed with this product and think this needs to be brought to someone's attention this is not fair to the consumer. This is no different than purchasing a car and then finding out after you drive the car off the lot that it's lemon please advise what can be done about this situation. I'm not pleased with the product I feel there should be a volume control on the phone so that the parents can adjust themselves.

Jodi of Holly MI (02/10/05)
I have nine month old twins and for my baby shower i received two ocean wonders take along swings valued at about sixty dollars each. They were great for the first month and a half of the twins life and then within a couple days of each other the swings just quit working. We tried new batteries, different types of batteries and nothing would make them work.

I called babies r us where the swings were bought and they said there wasn't much they could do for us. I realize that without a receipt its hard for them to do much but now i have these brand new swings 120.00 worth that i used maybe 4-6 times that I can't do a thing with and can't bare the thought of throwing them away without trying to do something about it first.

Latricia of Orlando FL (02/08/05)
The Stroller does not turn. The wheels in the front stay in one position and you have no control over your direction. At first I thought it was locked but it wasn't. I also thought that maybe it was assembled wrong but after checking it over everything was the way it should be. If there's nothing in the front of the stroller it's a little easier to control but the wheels still don't work efficiently. I have seen others with this same type stroller and they have this same problem so I know it's not just this particular stroller.

I would like some type of refund or certificate to purchase another stroller which I really need because it's very difficult to push a stroller with one hand and carry a baby in the other which also makes purchasing a double stroller kind of pointless.

Gina Erskine of Edwards Afb CA (02/04/05)
When my daughter was 3 months old we put her in this bouncer and she wiggled her way out of the safety straps. I had her in their tight, but it didn't seem to hold her. When she was 6 months old she started sitting up, and was still a little unstable and fell to the side. She almost hit her head on the ground if my husband wouldn't have caught her in time. This product needs to be looked into.

The reason that I'm complaining is because my daughter could have been seriously injured had my husband not caught her right in the knick of time. I don't want somebody else's baby to get hurt.

My son recieved the Elmo's sing & teach table. Even though it is a great toy it is very unsafe. I cannot count the times that my son has pulled up on this table and tipped over with it, hitting his head on the floor. Luckily nothing major yet.

I am the mother of 4 children. My husband and I have purchased Fisher Price toys since my oldest son was born nearly 9 years ago. We have come to expect as well as to appreciate the quality that you get when you purchase something by Fisher Price. However, I am extrememly disappointed in the Fisher Price Little Mommy nursery center, a Christmas purchase that we made for our two daughters ages 17 mo. and 3 1/2 years.

The girls both love to play babies and so when we found this nursery center, we were so excited. I am sad to say that it is JUNK. The mobile constantly falls apart. There is not enough playing space to put the powder and the dolls. I can barely get the Little Mommy doll in and out of the high chair; it is way too small.

So, you can imagine the frusration of my 3 1/2 year old as well as my 17 mo. old as they try to feed their doll. My 17 mo. daughter has down syndrome and there is no way that she can put the baby in and out of the high chair. This product has put a very bad taste in my mouth. Is Fisher Price lowering their quality of toys? I had to go to the toy store and purchase Graco baby products for my daughters to play with. They work great!

I called Fisher price about my crib bed cottage convertible. My daughter is 12 months old and is eating the paint off of the head board. I asked if it is toxic and if they have a plastic rail or any thing to cover the paint so she can't eat it. Also the rail is very unstable and she can get it down. I am concerned she will fall out of the crib. Fisher Price said they are not responsible for it, they don't manfacture it, they just put their name on it. They said I need to contact Stork craft. Here are the numbers on the bottom of the crib; 04831-581 Feb.21-2003 Canada- Cottage convertable- white

My daughter is injesting paint. Iam also concerned she can fall out of the crib due to the mechanics of the crib side rail.

We had just had our baby Daughter recently my wife had prior to that registered through several stores to receive the FP Papasan Baby Seat. We loved the fact of what it could do to help soothe our baby's needs. However, My needs are that Quality Control could beef it up a little.

Upon buying this item ourselves i was first disappointed to find that one of the four only screws to assemble this did not have the threads tapped so i had to return it. Later upon the exchange of another one i find that the assembly instructions skipped from page 1-4 and then to page 13-15 and then again, page 13-15. i'm sure this is a no brainer on the assembly of the other screws but i want to have it right and also have the proper instructions to even put the padding on the frame of this as well.

We have a Fisher Price Smart Response Swing. It is the Jack and Jill model. It has green legs. The seat cover is a green plaid. This swing fell twice with my 2 month old daughter in it. It appears that the legs were not attached correctly. We have always used it on the carpet. When we put it on hard wood floors, the legs seemed to buckel and sent my daughter crashing to the floor. After the first time I checked it over thinking maybe we had loosened something in moving it. I then put my daughter in the swing again. Again it went crashing to the floor while she was swinging. This is unacceptable.

My daughter went crashing to the floor. Her head jerked and slammed against the seat. She was not hurt badly. But still it was bad enough.

Fisher Price Aquarium Calming Vibrations Bouncer

Child can slip/lean over edge of bouncer chair and hit head and/or tip chair. I do not want an attorney to contact me at this point in time, but am retaining my right to pursue that option, at my discretion.

Would like to know why the kick & play bouncer makes my twins soaking wet, if it would have been just one of my twins i could understand but it happens to both. For the price i paid for these am not pleased at all

my twins have to be changed at least twice a day an worry that they may get chills

Son was in bouncy seat with bar attached. He went to remove our son and unclipped the sides it doesn't swing. It fell and hit our son in the head. He had brusing and a red mark on his eye. we took him to the doctor the following day she said he more than likly has a headache and to give him Tylenol. She informed me what to watch for including vomiting if a bump would show up or if he lost his appetite.

Fisher price had a lady call me from basically a legal department. And they keep wanting and offering to ship the product to them at no cost to us and refund the purchase price I told them I would be keeping the item they have plenty of them in warhouses that they can look at.

My son didn't sleep or rest very comfortably for the next few days. We are paying the office visit and I got to miss over an hour of work. Not to mention watching him to make sure there was nothing wrong besides bruses. Not much sleep being a mom especially if you are worried that they have a head injury. Then your thinking to yourself I bought this for him.

I received this mobile as a baby shower gift. I registered for it at Toys R Us because I loved the idea of it. Well, now that my daughter is in her crib, I find that it is not working properly. The mobile does not turn and sometimes I hear it starting by itself in the middle of the night. I got rid of the packaging months ago, before she moved in to the crib. Now I'm very disappointed with the performance. Without the packaging or the receipt, what can I do?

The cost of the item was 29.99.

Stand up Ball Blaster snapped both bones in my son's forearm. 12 month old put his arm into one of the side holes to drop a ball. He lost his balance and fell landing on where the balls come out, so the toy didn't tip over with him. His arm caught in the hole and snapped both bones. Took him to the emergency room and it was put in a cast...but as traumatic as that was, my family had to undergo hours of interrogation from social worker, drs, and police as to why a kid this young had such a severe injury.

Here is the bad thing about this toy and injury. Orthopedic Dr said your child could break his arm on this toy EASILY. Unless the parent sees them do it they may think the baby is fussy because of teething, gas..whatever. (Our son stopped crawling and was fussy but otherwise fine.) They administer tylenol, motrine, etc.....Dr says 5 days on Tylenol and there is no need to cast the broken arm at this age because they heal so fast.

How many kids already have this fracture and its healed, but their parents never knew????? Imagine in the future taking your child to the Dr for an xray and finding out there is an OLD fracture that is not in their medical records!!

If you have this toy and have EVER seen your child put his arm into the large holes and/or fall.....have them checked!

This complaint is about Baby monitors. I have a Fisher Price Monitor product #71599 900 Mhz long-range vibrating monitor. It is the second FP monitor that I have bought in 3 years. My problem is that the rechargeable battery for this monitor only lasts several months past the warranty. I called Fisher Price to see if I could purchase a new battery and they told me that the monitor and battery were discontinued. And since it was past a year there was nothing that I could do.

I then proceeded to surf the net to see if I could locate a battery and had no luck. I took it to radio shack and they tried several options for me but in the end they said that Fisher Price looks like they make 1 battery for each monitor.

I feel Fisher Price is profiting from this because basically you are out of luck and you have to purchase another monitor ( a good one ranges $50). I went on Toys R Us website and I could't belive how many bad reviews this monitor received for the same exact reasons. I tried to contact Fisher Price by e-mai, but you can only leave a comment with no response back. I told them that they should check out the reviews on their products.

I purchased a Fisher Price Baby Monitor in early 1999. This item worked well for my first baby for a few months and the second for a few months. The monitor was stored in its original package and was never mistreated. I recently tried to use it with the third baby and I can only hear white noise. The Fisher Price people told me that the warranty was only for a year (proabably the total amount of time I actually used the monitor) and there was NOTHING they could do. I could not even get it serviced or anything.

The customer service person also said that it was probably interference in the environment, though I tried it in different parts of the house and my parents house with the same results. Other baby manufacturers protect the consumer and their $30.00 investment. I have personally dealt with Graco and Evenflo products with great satisfaction. I am very disturbed that I believed that a large company like Fisher Price does not stand by their (expensive) products.

I am unable to moniter my sleeping infant and basically I am out $30.00 for an item that did not last.

My 22 month old son was playing with the Fisher Price Baby Playzone Stand Up Ball Blast which is one of his favorite toys. To my horror, he reached his arm in the center hole and his arm became lodged in the toy, he was screaming and I tried to get the toy off his arm and could not. Since the toy is put together in 2 pieces, I was finally able to removed the bottom part of the toy from the top ring. However, the ring now was like a tourniquet above on the top part of his arm above his elbow and it would not come off, he was screaming and I was afraid I was going to break his arm to remove the toy.

I ran him over to the kitchen sink and began to immerse his arm and the toy in cold water and use liquid soap to try and remove the toy from his arm, his arm at this point was badly bruised and starting to swell, I finally managed using soap and cold water to begin to be able to move the toy down my son's arm and get his arm free, which seemed to be an eternity.

I was 15 seconds away from calling 911 to have the toy physically removed. His arm is bruised and he as well as me was very shaken by this incident.

When I contacted Fisher Price I reported the incident, they documented it and told me UPS would come and pick up the toy free of charge, and once they received the toy, I would receive a check for reimbursement of the toy. I told them I did not care one bit about the $$ I did not want another little boy or girl or their parents to experience what we did.

A friend of mine has the same toy and I advised her to throw it out or contact Fisher Price. The opening on the top of the toy should be wider so that this does not happen again.

My son's arm was badly bruised and he and I were very upset and shaken.

We purchased A power wheel Jeep for our son just over 1 year ago with in that time frame we had to purchase a new battery and now the motor in it has burned up they only offer a 1 year service contract but it is my feeling that it should be one year of Use. we live in Michigan it sat unmoved for 6 months, this toy has now cost me 50$ a month not including the additional battery.

I had purchased one of the bassinets that were recalled, I'm very upset to find that they were recalled, because this is the second item I have purchased from Fisher Price that was a recall. I do not want a repair kit, I want my money back. I tried taking this item back to the store, and they refused to take this item back.

loss of work for both me and husband, daughter in full body cast at age 25 months, hrs investigating, hospital bills, and sad site of daughter not being able to play or move at all without help.

Bought a Power Wheel for my 19 month old son. A Four Wheeler model. It shocked my son. He had to go to the ER but is ok. It looks like there may be a wiring problem in the handlebars

My baby received a gym made by Fisher Price, in which he reaches with his hands to hit the objects. The objects are very hard and on several occasions have been snatched off by him in which he has hit himself in the face. I appreciate the practice in gross motor abilities that the product reinforces, however with the exception of one cloth cow, all of the pieces are extremely hard.

I'm not upset because my son did not harm himself. My being upset is due to the fact that many, many baby products are not safe, and are consistently being recalled for the danger which they impose. While some dangers can be more severe than others, I do not believe that manufacturers are unaware of the possibilites of what dangers exist before placing the product on the market.

I first bought the blue Fisher Price cradle swing in 1999 for my first child, he loved it as did our second. When we found we were having twins in 2002 I decided to buy another. We found the same swing only in beige with a mobile of safari animals.

For the first couple months it worked great, it used a lot of batteries but that was fine, but now it won't go, the light turns on and nothing. could it be the motor? It's not very old and the babies hardly weighed 10lbs. They scream for the swing every night and now they have to take turns in the older one, that still works great.

We have had a Ninja Kawasaka in a repair shop (in Decatur) since May 3. Every week we call to see if it has been repaired. The repair shop tells us that they are having trouble getting the parts that they need from Fisher Price. Hey, it's been 3 months, how long does it take to send parts? My children did not get to ride the power wheel all summer, the power wheel was less than a year old.

It is not about the money to me it is about the big business sticking it to the consumer I have complained to them and simply been brushed off; what could the cost possibly be to them to give me satisfaction?
