My experience with Bluegreen Vacations raises concerns about how disputes and cancellations request are handled after purchase. Sales representations did not match actual program terms. Claims about using points toward maintenance fees and ten-day cancellation window were later found to be inaccurate and were key factors in the decision to proceed. Shortly after signing, a cancellation request was made due to financial concerns and was acknowledged as "taken care of," but no action or documentation was ever provided, and the agreement remained active. Additional issues arose when trying to use the program as described, particularly around point usage and maintenance fees expectations.

Attempts to resolve concerns were met with procedural responses rather than addressing the underlying issues. Follow-ups through complaint channels did not result in resolution, and communication eventually ceased without addressing the core concerns. Overall, this reflects ongoing disputes, inconsistent information, and limited transparency when attempting to correct or exit the agreement. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

We paid our loan in full and recently contacted Bluegreen to discuss our options because the ownership no longer fits our needs. During that conversation, we were offered three choices: resale, title transfer, or an exit program costing $2,950.40, which included maintenance fees and a release fee. What is difficult to understand is why we are expected to pay thousands more just to leave. The sales presentation lasted nearly four hours and left us with a very different understanding of what ownership would look like. Maintenance fees and the practical limitations of the points were not as clear as they should have been.

Now that we are owners, availability often does not work with our schedule, and the points we have are not enough to make the program useful without spending even more money. We purchased this hoping it would help us spend more time with our grandchildren who live in different cities. Instead, it has become a source of stress and frustration. We even asked whether we could pay our outstanding maintenance fees if Bluegreen would simply cancel the contract, but they declined. Our experience has been that getting into the program was far easier than finding a way out of it.

We purchased timeshares in 2018 and twice in 2022 and deeply regret every one of those decisions. The sales process was manipulative from the start. What was advertised as a one-hour meeting in New Orleans consumed an entire day, and we were pressured relentlessly until we signed just to leave. The same thing happened in San Antonio. Another half-day presentation, more pressure, more points. "No" was never accepted as an answer.

We have never been able to use what we paid for. The reservation system is cumbersome, availability is nearly impossible unless you plan months in advance, and every resort visit comes with another high-pressure sales presentation. We upgraded to Gold status in November 2022, hoping things would improve. Nothing changed.

We believe we were deceived into signing a third contract without ever realizing it. We thought we had two timeshares. It was only later that we discovered a third contract existed, which we had apparently already paid off in full at over $16,000. We were never given a clear, combined picture of our total financial obligations. Salespeople focused only on the terms of that day's purchase, never disclosing the full scope of what we were accumulating. Our maintenance fees have since ballooned to $4,000 per year. This was never disclosed, let alone that they would rise indefinitely and be passed on to our heirs. Our combined annual cost is now over $11,600, and we have taken zero trips.

To make matters worse, we are both battling serious health conditions. My husband has Stage 4 kidney cancer, and I am an 18-month breast cancer survivor managing ongoing treatment. Every dollar matters. We have formally requested contract cancellation so we can focus on our health and the time we have left. We urge anyone considering a Bluegreen timeshare to walk away.

My experience since purchasing a Bluegreen timeshare in October 2025 has been deeply disappointing. Due to a lack of transparency and inaccurate representations made during the sales presentation, I am formally requesting a full refund and the cancellation of my contract. I have several specific concerns regarding how the ownership was presented.

First, the utility of my 10,000 points was misrepresented, as I was led to believe they would cover at least two weeks of vacation, which has not been the case. Furthermore, there was a significant discrepancy regarding bonus points; while I was promised 10,000 bonus points at sign-up, I was later told during a meeting in Nashville that I would need to pay an additional $25,000 to access them. Finally, the information provided by staff has been inconsistent, with one representative, Jaesha, explicitly stating that another, Raquel, had provided incorrect information. The purchase has not met the expectations set by your representatives and fails to offer the value described. Bluegreen has very little empathy for any sort of hardship. Their owners have not a business. I am happy to be familiar with.

Our experience with Bluegreen Vacations has been a huge letdown and a waste of money. They lied to us about how the points worked, promising we could use them for international travel or gift cards, but that wasn't true. Now, the high maintenance fees are way too expensive, and we could find better vacations for much less on our own. The customer service is also terrible. We tried talking to a representative named Brentney several times and were promised a call from a manager that never happened. Every person we talk to just gives us the same scripted answers. When we tried to cancel, they told us we'd have to pay over $35,000 just to get out. It feels like a trap based on lies, and we just want a fair way to end the contract and move on but Bluegreen doesn’t care about any of this.

After a BBB complaint, Bluegreen Vacations reached out by phone through a representative (Keshia). The same options were offered again, resale and title transfer but none of them actually resolve ongoing maintenance fees and financial burden. I reiterated these options do not work for our situation and that we are not seeking to return. A policy was also attached that I do not recall receiving before, referencing a series of letters and an eventual cancellation process, but the details were unclear. Overall, no real resolution has been provided, only repeated options that do not address the remaining debt or obligations.

We attended a Bluegreen Vacations presentation after being offered a free stay at Club 36 in Las Vegas. The presentation lasted well over five to six hours under intense, high-pressure sales tactics. To sway us into purchasing, the representatives threw in various incentives like reward cards and free flights. Later, during an owner orientation at Falls Village in Branson, another sales agent pressured us into buying an additional block of points, leaving us completely overwhelmed.

Since buying in, it has been a total nightmare to use. We couldn't find any availability when trying to book our first spring break trip, forcing us to push our vacation back months. On top of that, during our very first trip to Vegas, our unit had appliance issues, including a clogged sink that overflowed all over the countertop. This timeshare has become a massive financial struggle for us, and instead of helping us travel, the lack of availability makes it harder to take vacations than if we didn't own it at all.

We contacted Bluegreen because we wanted a permanent exit from our timeshare, but instead of addressing that request, we were redirected toward Pinnacle Vacations and a title transfer. When we spoke with Keisha **, the focus quickly shifted away from termination and toward other options that did not solve our situation. We also were warned about collections due to non-payment, even after explaining the financial strain we were under and that we could no longer continue making payments. The transfer option offered did not provide the complete release we repeatedly asked for. The most frustrating part has been the lack of clear communication and feeling like we are being pushed around instead of helped. We have spent months trying to resolve this responsibly and still have no real exit solution from Bluegreen.

I am writing this to warn others about the deceptive sales tactics and financial nightmare of Bluegreen ownership. We were subjected to a grueling 8-hour high-pressure sales meeting where multiple representatives tag-teamed us, rushing and pressuring us into a decision when they knew we were exhausted and just wanted to go home. During this marathon session, we were explicitly lied to by a representative named Bobby, who assured us that maintenance fees would be manageable and even implied they would decrease with certain upgrades. This, along with other promises, was a total, huge lie.

The reality has been shocking: our maintenance skyrocketed from $1700 to over $4000—a massive, undisclosed rise that was never mentioned during the sale; instead, they assured us that it would be a minimal increase. Furthermore, we were told we could use our points to pay these fees, but now we’re told we don’t have enough points to even qualify for that option, making our points completely useless. When we reached out with complaints, Bluegreen stalled for days, only responding once our legal cancellation period had conveniently expired.

This experience has been devastating. It has put my credit in jeopardy and caused serious strain on my marriage because I didn't listen to my wife's hesitation. We feel completely fooled and misled by these predatory terms of the contracts. We demand the immediate cancellation of our ownerships, the severance of all ties with Bluegreen, and the cancellation of all remaining debt. We will not deal with this company any longer. I hope Bluegreen reads this and takes accountability by granting us the cancellation of all of our ownerships and remaining debt.

I’m frustrated with how Bluegreen Vacations has handled my issues. I received a voicemail stating my case was being closed because I didn’t answer their call. I work during regular business hours and can’t take random, unscheduled calls, especially when there’s no effort to coordinate a time or follow through as promised. It feels like the lack of scheduling is being used as a reason to close the case without actually addressing the issue. This isn’t the first time it has felt like nothing moves forward unless I’m immediately available, which isn’t realistic. Closing the case without any real discussion or resolution feels premature and dismissive of my concerns. Beware of the way Bluegreen does business and its lack of communication.
