Filene's Vacation Outlet

Susan of Medford, MA, writes:
I am trying to book a trip to Bermuda from Boston. In the Filene's Vacation outlet ad in the Boston Sunday Globe they advertised a rate at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort from $439 midweek departure.

I met all the other restrictions, ie: travel dates. When I tried to book the trip they said that midweek departure meant leaving on a Sun, Mon or Tues. I wanted to leave on a Thurs which to me, is partly midweek, as opposed to a Sun or Mon.

I was just wondering if I have cause for complaint and if pursuing this matter further may result in them having to honor their ad. I am unable to fly on any other day and that is why I am pursuing this matter.

In the travel business, "midweek" usually means Tuesday or Wednesday, but there is no legal definition that we know of.
