Timeshare Globe

Cynthia of Locust Grove, VA February 3, 2009

The business office is based in MA, the actual business is in FLA. Allen Trent called me and asked if I wanted to sell me timeshare, I said yes but I've already been taken by another company in Fla and I wasn't going to put anymoney up front. Mr Trent tells me that he has my timeshare sold and I just have to approve the sales price. My husband got on the phone to be sure of what I told him. Then K. Miller gets on the phone to say we have to pay their fees however the sale is in progress and we will receive the paper work in 30-45 days, the the check within a week after that. I gave him 1250 from my bank card and 700 from my credit card and he said he would talk to us tomorrow.

I however called them the next day to say my credit card denied the charge and I would just like to have my 1250 back. Mr Miller says that the sale has already gone through and that he would front the 700 until we received the check and then we could pay him back. 6Wks go by and I call Mr Miller back, he says the buyers had to get a form from the IRS proving they had paid their taxes but it would be done soon.

Two months go by and I question Mr Miller on his story, he then proceeds to laugh at me and states that he would now take as long as he wanted and that I would never be able to speak to him again. I contacted the BBB in MA and Fla. and I was told the business never responded to them. Of course my bank states that I would have had to contact them within 30 days to retrieve my money back. After I contacted the BBB a Person by the name of Adam calls and leaves a message. I return the call, he said he didn't remember me, however he proceeds to tell me that K. Miller had been fired and that Mr Miller apparently gave me a discount on their advertising charges. He said they charge 1950 to advertise timeshares that are for sale. I told him my Credit Card Co. could show where the 700 had been denied and he said so what.

And so that ends our story. I'm lost and don't know where else to go. If there is anything We can do please let us know. Thank you so very much. Lost 1250 plus I was told by Mr Miller that they would also retrieve the previous 700 given to the previous company.

Joanne of Quincy, MI January 10, 2005

I paid 499 to Timeshare Globe in September 2004 to advertise my timeshare for sale at their shows, on their website and in their magazine that is supposedly distributed throughout the travel industry, especially to airlines. I have not seen one anywhere while traveling in the past few months nor did I see one before.

They promised to send me four issues of their magazine with my ad in it. I had not received a magazine so I complained and they finally sent a copy, but my ad is not in it. The ad was not accessible on their website but is now accessible if one has the listing number. Of course, everyone going to their website would know that! As for their shows, I have no idea what is going on there. Their show is taking the money and forgetting their promises.
