This is a review that should be a warning to other travelers. I booked a trip from Houston to London May 18. - 29. Included the hotel, St. James Court a Taj Hotel and United Premium Economy airfare. The airfare was outrageous, hotel was not too bad but the total trip was about 11,000 dollars. The pricing was not the issue. It was a bundled price. However I had a totally refundable airfare, not so for the hotel. In any case I called Travelocity on May 17 the day before our trip to inquire about cancelling the hotel. Just an “inquiry“. No agreement to cancel and lose all the cost. Well the agent CANCELLED my hotel without my permission. It took me 10 hours to reinstate my reservation with numerous calls to various employees, the hotel in London, a massive unbelievable fiasco. No one was helpful, decent or knowledgeable. Finally at 10:00 am the day we were leaving I called the hotel and the reservation was reinstated.

I cannot stress the unwarranted pressure and frustration this caused. I will never use a service such as Travelocity again. I will book directly with airlines and hotels. This is consumer abuse, Travelocity hopes to wear you down with undue delays, counter factual information and utter nonsense. They should be investigated. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

They state on website you can use your flight credit for a different destination but will have to pay tax. If so not true. You can only book the same flight as original and even though the ticket my be cheaper they will still charge you extra.

I think Travelocity sucks when the airline shuts down, meaning Spirit and everything and everyone is telling you to go through your booking agency, and they don't want to help you, you people suck...

Completely a trap. Do not use this company. Pay the extra money to use individual sites. I booked a trip, wanted to add a traveler, those flights disappeared even though they were available on the company website. Canceled the trip to create another trip (their online process forced me to), added the new member and booked it. I can't use the previous airline "credits" toward this trip or get a refund. It's a trap. And complete nonsense. Southwest or any other airline would easily have been able to transfer this. I called customer service, got no help. Asked for a manager, and I've been on hold a very long time. It's not looking good for me. I hope you can avoid my errors in judgement.

Made a reservation and paid in full. Cancelled our reservation 30mins before check in while traveling with two small children. Stayed on hold for over 2 hours trying to find a hotel. They told me none were available. Found a hotel. They said they called and were unreachable. We were at the desk and they never called. Tried to put them on the phone with the manager and they wouldn't speak to them. Said they had to call. Absolutely the worst trip and service. Will never use again.

Booked Hotel Zazz in January 2026 for a stay on 4/24/2026 for two nights. Paid for the room and bought travel insurance through Travelocity. Received several confirmation emails and texts from both Travelocity and Hotel Zazz in Albuquerque. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told they did not have our reservation. We had to find another hotel completely out of the way and far more expensive at the last minute. Travelocity refunded our hotel costs but not the Travel insurance costs for something that was completely Travelocity's fault. I also paid and addition $200 for another room at a different hotel because we had to book at the last minute. If you do use Travelocity, make sure you call the hotel on several occasions to confirm your reservations, and do not buy the Travel insurance through Travelocity because they will not refund that cost for mistakes they create. It is FREE money for them.

I attempted to be a Travelocity customer (travelup.com). I went to the website, as advertised, and tried to book a room for the following night. After I enter all the information to book the room, the website gave an error and it was not able to process at this time. The message gave a phone number to call and deleted my card information. The phone number could not be completed as dialed, the first attempt. The following attempts all led to a computer saying each option was not available. I was calling early on the evening, not in the middle of the night. So, website does not work, phone does not work, nothing accomplished. I booked the room on the hotel's website. No problems and slightly higher cost.

A day later (the following evening) I received an email from Travelocity / Travelup with an odd confirmation number for this hotel. This was the night I was to stay at the hotel. Again, my calls and email go unanswered. The next day, after my stay, I receive a rude email trying to tell me the room was booked and there was no refunds available. Basically, they take your credit card information without your knowledge and try to charge you. Possibly respond after the booking night in question and act like you made an approved / confirmed purchase. False advertising. Misleading. Scam your money. Fake a confirmation to justify the scam. Knowingly offer a fake phone number. Do not respond to emails when you ask for details or proof. They might let you hope for a lower price, but the hard money scam is not worth it.

Using Travelocity will be regretful if you run into any issues with a booking. I had a hotel reservation for 2 nights at a hotel but became ill and needed to move my arrival date out 2 days. I reached out to the hotel and they told me it was fine with them but since I booked through Travelocity I had to change through them. That is where the problems began. There was no way to talk to a human and I had to work with the limited options before I found a chat bot that eventually led me to a a supposed chat with a person. Not sure if was a person or not. It couldn't move it without me paying the penalty.

I was then told it would be sent to someone higher up to decide and they would usually respond in 72 hours - by email, not a call. I got the email telling me the hotel wouldn't agree. Since the hotel told me that it wouldn't be a problem, I knew the email was not being truthful. My advice is to use them to find prices and the go and book directly with the hotel chain. That way if problems happen, you will have someone to actually talk to.

I booked through Travelocity a suite in Holbox (February 19–27) — a bright room with a kitchenette and balcony — along with a plane ticket. Three days before departure, I find out on my own — by contacting the hotel directly on WhatsApp — that it is closed for maintenance, and that they are offering me a room in one of their other hotels: a real downgrade, meeting none of my criteria. Travelocity had not communicated anything to me.

What followed were 3 consecutive evenings in chat with different representatives — more than 6 hours of my time. Here is what I experienced: Their representatives were waiting for the hotel to respond — which never happened. Instead of researching and offering alternatives, they asked me to search for equivalent hotels myself. I did. My suggestions were refused, with no alternative proposed. Promised callbacks that never came — I had to follow up every single time. 24 hours before departure, they finally offered a refund — but only for the hotel. For the plane ticket, I was told to deal directly with the airline myself. When I refused this half-refund without having any accommodation solution, they informed me they would not cancel the reservation but would reimburse me anyway.

Had they told me this 3 days earlier, I would have been spared all of this stress. I travelled anyway, in a state of extreme stress. Once on site, the replacement room was so inadequate that we had to find another one ourselves, after an exhausting day of travel. We had been looking forward to this trip for months. It turned out to be a highly stressful experience, largely due to Travelocity and Expedia. Zero proactivity, zero solutions, zero consideration for the customer. Avoid at all costs.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I booked this hotel through Travelocity based on their reviews. After booking, I checked the Google reviews and found many serious complaints about poor maintenance and the condition of the hotel. I canceled my reservation within a few hours, yet neither the hotel nor Travelocity refunded my $245. Very disappointing experience — I lost my money within hours of booking. I didn’t even know it was legal to not give a customer 24 hours window for cancellation.

Only gave a one star because that is the lowest possible rating. Booked two rooms for two nights on one travel itinerary. We had an issue with arrival dates and contacted Travelocity. I was told that it was the Travelocity representative took care of it, so we would not be a no show. When we arrived at the hotel and we had 1 room for two nights. I had to pay for another room. Travelocity charged me for two rooms for two nights. When contacting Travelocity, they kept timing out our chat while the online person was working on the matter. End result is Travelocity refuses to do anything about it. I will be working with my credit card company because TRAVELOCITY won't stand behind their.

In November 2025, my wife, my service dog and I stopped at the Holiday Inn Express at Savannah S I-95- Richmond Hill, 4601 US Highway 17, Richmond Hill, GA, 31324. Upon entering the lobby area, there was no one at the desk, however the front desk associate was in the back and came forward. There was no name tag on the counter identifying who was on duty, nor was the associate wearing a name tag. Taped to the front desk counter was a sign stating "no dogs." I asked for a room and indicated I had a "Diabetic Assistance Dog." The associate stated only "service dogs" were allowed. I replied "He is a service dog and I have the certification." She then stated she could make a reservation at an adjacent hotel also owned by the same company. I asked her why Icouldn't I have a room here. She stated I was "giving off negative vibes!" It ended with her stating she was refusing me service.

I asked for her name, she refused to provide it. I asked for her manager's name. She motioned to a card stack on the counter. The card reflected the name "**, General Manager." The card listed the address of the Holiday Inn Express, address, phone number, and email address for the GM. We left, went next door, provided the same information regarding our service dog, had no problems, checked in, and had a restful evening. That evening, I sent an email to the address to the GM and to date, have never received a reply. I sent a second one in January 2026 and never received a reply to that one as well.

As a retired Army Officer utilizing a service dog for Agent Orange related disability, I was extremely taken aback by the attitude of the associate and the failure of the General Manager to answer my complaint. I felt the associate was purposefully rude to ensure not even service dogs would he allowed in her Holiday Inn Express. I urge all with service animals to boycott this establishment. The attitude of the associate was totally unacceptable, as was the GM not answering my emails.

I booked a flight on Travelocity. I was flying United one way and American back home. I also rented a car. I realized the flight times wouldn't work for me so I cancelled the trip about 15 minutes after booking it. Because they were considered three different transactions (according to Travelocity) they only cancelled the United flights. No where did it say I needed to cancel the other two transactions, even though it was a package deal! When I called to complain I was told by the rep (Andrea, who was awesome) that it should work that way, where you can cancel the whole trip at one time, but it wasn't. So I'm out $1000!!! Will never use them again.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Made reservations for rental car through Travelocity for pickup at Tampa airport. Unfortunately had to book with Mex car rental as all of the other well known companies didn’t have any cars available for the weekend of 2/27-3/1. Got to rental counter at 810pm stated hours of open to 9 pm . Sign on wall indicating the same. The counter was closed, no attendant, sign showing they had cars available. We went to parking lot to look for employee. Went to booth it was closed, no employees anywhere for Mex. Found numerous other employees for various other companies.

Went back inside to rental booth where there was another customer on phone trying to get in touch with Mex. Stayed at booth until 9 pm, took picture of booth of hours posted of clock. Got on live chat with Travelocity, requested assistance. They couldn’t reach anyone, refunded us our rental insurance fee of $40 but advised they would have to deal with Mex to get our refund if $180 for the car. Just got final email from Travelocity indicating they can’t get ahold of anyone at Mex and we won’t be getting a refund. Horrible customer service from both Mex and Travelocity.

Had a trip booked to Guadalajara, cancelled over recent events, which the customer service rep issued a travel credit for + a $175 rebooking fee. When it comes to using the travel credit, however, customer service is slow, rude, and unhelpful. The travel credit which already included taxes bundled in it from the original booking, was refused to be applied towards the taxes for the new flight, so there is a "fare difference" charge of $170, despite the new tickets costing almost $300 less than the original. THEN, the $175 reissue fee was increased to $200, and even when I pushed back saying that there is an email stating the $175 price and they should honor it, they refused, and also slapped that on top of the fare difference. The result is that a $650 booking ended up costing $1200, and the customer service agent was incredibly rude and would not offer explanations or help in any way. Money straight into their pockets, corrupt, dishonest, scummy, and rude.

Don’t be fooled by the 1st 3 five star reviews. I booked my room in Miami. I had no idea I was even booking through Travelocity. Four weeks before the trip I got sepsis. 5 days in the hospital, 1 week recovery at home, then got covid. I had booked only the room through Travelocity. I had to cancel the cruise, the airline, the car, and room. Travelocity is the only one who gave me the runaround. They had a site on Hotels.com that had cancel/change….but they just kept rerouting you to the hotel….who said I was booked through a 3rd party….When I finally got through I had to pay $100.00 to cancel the room even though I had a Dr letter saying I was contagious. Never again.
