Jamie of Central Point, OR January 16, 2009
Jamie of Central Point OR (01/16/09) I ordered a bedroom set for 80, and they sent me an small ironing board/hamper set, which I didn't order nor need. I've sent several emails to them and have had no response. I tried calling the number, but it's disconnected. I found another phone number on another website and left a message...no response back. What a waste of money!

I will never buy 1 plate for 60.00. And they never advertised that it was only 1 plate that there were sending and not 5 pcs.
Debra of Clearwater, FL December 22, 2008
Debra of Clearwater FL (12/22/08) On Dec. 12 I ordered stoneware dishes as a Christmas present at the online site. I did read the return policy as Linens and Things are going out of business with instructions for any damaged products and how to return. The dishes arived; broken; The Linens and Things phone is a message only; The emails are automated.
These dishes was delivered to my daughter as a christmas present. BROKEN, I asked for a replacement. The same set is still advertised on the website!
Rosalind of Kapolei, HI December 12, 2008
Rosalind of Kapolei HI (12/12/08) I purchased a Hapao Dark Rattan Hamper from Linen and Things online as they were going out of business. I read very carefully about the items since all sales were final. Convinced that I was getting what was being advertised, I placed the order. To my chagrin when the hamper arrived, there was no lid. I waited a few days to see if it had been sent under separate cover and finally realized that it was not going to come.
No where in the ad did it say that I was buying only the bottom but not the top. I tried a to reach customer service and all I got was a pre-recorded message. I feel that this was at least poor customer service. I cannot use the hamper and what makes it so bad is the slashed price was only 20 less than the regular price. I have made purchases from Linens and Things several times before and was always comfortable with them. Now, I see the company in a different light. The practices that are being used the get of the merchandise are dishonest and unscrupulous.
I spent money for something I cannot use and seem to have no recourse. The advertising was deceptive.
