While the job description for the banker, who was Jeremy and did a great job for me, and agents is to be pleasant and to make the clients feel as if they are important and listened to, Knowing that, I still felt they were helpful and willing to work with me. I am also a very small mortgage refi compared to the majority of applications for far higher amounts.

I had an excellent experience working with the highly professional team at Rocket Mortgage. They made the entire loan process smooth and stress-free. All of my questions were answered promptly, and the team was always helpful and responsive. The notary even came to my home to complete the signing and took the time to explain each document clearly, making the process very easy to understand. I also received my payment checks on time, and I never encountered any significant difficulties throughout the process. Overall, it was an amazing experience working with the wonderful team at Rocket Mortgage. I would highly recommend Rocket Mortgage to my family and friends!

I was totally happy with almost every aspect of the loan process. Their website is so easy to navigate (coming from me who is technology challenged that is saying a lot) and user friendly. I had absolutely no issues viewing, uploading or signing any documents. The only issue I had and found very frustrating and nerve wracking was on the day of closing at check in and past the start of closing our documents were not uploaded and neither I or the notary could view them. If this had been completed beforehand then the whole process would have gotten a 5 out of 5 stars.

Last week, Aug 5th, I closed on a mortgage to refinance my home loan. Everything went great and I highly recommend using Rocket Mortgage online. They are Fast, Friendly, Efficient & Professional! I reduced my interest rate to 5.99% which is a significant improvement. I reduced my monthly payments by $107, which is nice and best of all, I did this at a very low cost because Rocket Mortgage contributed to and paid a good amount towards my closing cost. All it took was a few brief phone conversations, some advisory texts, a few uploaded documents online and most of the closing completed online with digital initials & signatures. On the final day of closing, Rocket Mortgage sent a live Notary person to my home to notarize the final documents which took only a few minutes. This whole process was amazing! In beginning response was good but when you start having to check app all the time when you need things from customers not good. When new things come up on task bar need to send text or emails. Something people check regularly. I personally have too many other things to check or do daily that checking your app was not one of the things I did on a regular basis. There also needs to be flexibility in language that inspects use in reports and also I was told if I showed receipts and photos on repairs they would be accepted and they weren’t and I had to pay for a second inspection out of pocket.

We bought a condo in Hawaii and the process had very little bumps, but the couple of bumps we did experience was very frustrating. We listed all our assets and my retirement funds, we made two different payments of $2500 in which Rocket underwriting requested requested verification of checks clearing. The bank statements we uploaded ended 9/30/26, and they wanted a transaction summary to reflect up to date funds to show there was enough money. I followed their directions, which was, have transaction summary with my name and account number. I did it that day and uploaded. My realtor said that they conditioned the loan again saying that my transaction summary wasn't sufficient to verify.

My mortgage moved to Rocket when they acquired Mr. Cooper. I was very satisfied with Mr. Cooper, but very dissatisfied with Rocket. Their website is far inferior to Mr. Cooper's and their payment tool is absolutely horrible. I wish I could go back to Mr. Cooper. Would not recommend Rocket Mortgage to new borrowers if they can avoid it, but the way mortgages and mortgage holders get bought/transferred in the US doesn't leave borrowers with much choice.

This was the easiest loan refinance process I have ever experienced. The online system is by far the best I have ever encountered and the assigned loan officer, Mike **, was the best. All steps of the process were timely and efficient.

Updated on 10/09/2026: After leaving a previous review detailing my frustration with getting pestered during the work day (I’m a teacher), I get an actual phone call while I’m in class from a Don ** (fake name?) to apologize for texting me the previous day during school and interrupting my class. Perhaps Mr. ** will read ALL the words in this follow up review and never reach out to contact me again in any way.

I very much enjoyed working with Rocket Mortgage especially Gordon **. He was very nice, very knowledgeable and helped me with any questions. I had great guy.!

I have never experienced such bad customer care from any company like I did with yours. Many lies and no answers. The only thing your staff are trained to say is “I’m sorry“.

Great staff. Horrible process. They completely took me for a ride promising we would close in time. Meanwhile Never actually coming through. I have worked with many lenders but these people take the cake on incompetency.

We were extremely pleased with the services provided to us by Rocket Mortgage. Joe ** got us a pre approval letter at the last minute, while we were bidding against other buyers. He indeed will go above and beyond. All others we dealt with at Rocket were very efficient and helpful. This is our second mortgage with Rocket.

During the closing process for my home equity loan, I was informed that the proceeds would be used directly to pay off my specified credit card and auto loan balances for debt consolidation. However, instead of handling these direct payoffs electronically or sending payments directly to the creditors, I received physical checks to distribute myself. This process is frustrating because mailing or depositing these checks manually causes unnecessary delays, resulting in extra days or weeks of high-interest charges from my creditors while the payments clear. For a streamlined lender like Rocket Mortgage, direct electronic disbursement to creditors should be standard procedure to ensure borrowers don't incur extra interest costs due to processing lag. I would appreciate clarification on why this was handled via physical checks rather than direct payment.

Rocket Mortgage acquired my loan from another lender that I never had any problems with. Now that RM has taken it over, there has been nothing but issues!! Stay away from them and get a BETTER, reputable lender!! Why mortgage companies switch up so many times is absolutely ridiculous!! It should have to stay with the original lender that YOU chose when purchasing your home!!

It is a process buying a home! AJ and his team were very efficient and helpful to us on our purchase. A lot to understand, they all took their time to make sure we understood and provided all information. At our closing so verifications needed. AJ went above to make sure we were staying on track. They were excellent. Made our dreams come to reality!

I would not recommend Rocket Mortgage for a cash-out refinance. Before moving forward, I wish I had paid closer attention to the negative reviews. The company collected all of our paperwork and a $500 good-faith deposit while promising to close within a specific timeframe. Unfortunately, that timeline came and went with little to no communication. We never received a copy of our appraisal, and despite calling our loan officer, Daniel M., daily, we were continually told that the team was "working on it." No one returned our calls until we informed them that we would not be closing with them and wanted a refund of our deposit. Suddenly, multiple team members began calling to ask how they could help. Where was that sense of urgency during the loan process when we actually needed assistance?

I previously worked with Mr. Cooper and had a positive experience with the company. Since the merger into Rocket Mortgage, however, my experience as a customer has been extremely disappointing particularly with the handling of my insurance claim. The process for releasing funds needed to repair my home has been confusing and unnecessarily delayed. I have repeatedly provided the requested information, yet I still have not received a clear explanation of what remains outstanding or when the funds will be released. I submitted the check approximately eight days ago, and the matter has become complicated enough that I asked my attorney to get involved.

I am still in shock at how quickly, efficiently, and conveniently this entire process was. From beginning the process at a 9:30 call to having the closing paperwork and notary travel to our house and every step in between this process was so amazing for a working family!

This was the worst experience I have had with mortgages or home equity. The terms kept changing, they kept wanting more stuff from me and then getting any type of acknowledgement from them, or a response was so hard. And then at closing, instead of the amount of money to bring we had talked about, it was more, and no one had bothered to let me know. We got everything worked out and taken care of, but it didn't have to be this hard or stressful.

Very dissatisfied with Candice **, a self-proclaimed, "triple crown banker". She completely dropped the ball after receiving very sensitive financial information about me and my business, continually promising to get back to me but never did.

What a smooth seamless process from start to finish. We did everything online, and the emails they sent were so easy to understand we didn’t need much help finding what they needed.

Worst experience ever. For someone with an 840 credit score, this should be easier. Since my 1st mortgage was sold to them, I contacted Rocket for a cash out/consolidation Home Equity loan and was told we would be closed within 2 weeks. Complete utter lie. As I continue to move through this process, I learned that there are just too many hands in the pot here. Too many departments/people. Every time I called it was held up for a different reason. Every document they needed from me was provided to them within hours as I am constantly watching the task page.

Absolutely do not use Rocket Mortgage. It was a horrible experience from start to finish. They will not return phone calls and they absolutely do not do anything they say they will. A refinance took three months because they are incapable of any follow through.

Unfortunately, in today’s environment, we, the consumer, have no control over where our mortgage loan ends up. Loans can, and WILL, be sold after closure. Companies come and go, and the loans end up in the hands of the likes of Rocket Mortgage. This in and of itself is not an issue. The issue is the absolutely horrible, incomprehensibly bad, and utterly incompetent customer service. -100 for customer service at Rocket Mortgage.

Updated on 10/07/2026: Rocket Mortgage 'can't find' our 6/2026 mortgage payment! So, for four months we've been receiving third-party calls, double payment notices, late fees... the 'run-around.' We have provided proof of electronic payment with trace identification, but still, no resolution. Terrible customer service!

Respectfully, Rocket Mortgage is a joke. We assumed a loan in 2023, and it was a relatively easy process with just a few hiccups. Fast forward to April of 2026, my wife and I's plan changed and we wanted to sell our house and move. Luckily, my parents wanted to assume our loan and use it as an investment property. Unsure if this was allowed, I called ahead and asked that exact question, and the answer I got was "Absolutely, they can do what they want with it." So we started the process, we got our realtor to facilitate all the paperwork and get everything submitted. We waited 6 months to have any progress. I would call 2 times a week at first, getting exhausted, I went to once a week and still made no progress moving forward. All I could get from them was "It's processing."

Seamless for the most part. Kyle and Amie were very helpful and informative.
