THIS PLAN IS A SCAM - DO NOT SIGN UP FOR IT! I went into Urgent Care due to a cough and ended up testing positive for the Flu (after taking Flu test). This insurance did not cover it due to me being pregnant (PREGNANCY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME HAVING CONTRACTED THE FLU!!!!) and I am now stuck with a $1,028.00 bill.... ALL FOR TAKING A FLU TEST!!!! I WILL BE TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THIS CORRUPT SHAM OF A COMPANY.

Pay monthly premiums for months. Fell at work and fractured my hip. I had an MRI done and showed an acute fracture. Paid surgeon and doctor and they were supposed to reimburse me. Nope they denied claim. Took 2 months after sending documents and calling they sent me a denial email. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Horrible experience. I signed up with Golden Rule for 30 days and was charged for more months that I didn't notice. Basically, the dental stayed active and I was not entitled to a refund because it's separate. Sure I should have noticed, but was busy with working 7 days a week and skimmed charges and missed it.

Deny claims for all members on the plan until they find out if a visit is caused by a pre-condition (which was not mentioned to me previously) (even though you told them of the pre conditions before even signing up). When asking about the process to appeal decisions of things are ruled as from a pre-condition, for instance the Flu or yeast infections, instead of being explained how to do this I was just informed that viruses and infections can be due to pre-existing conditions.
Oh then when the 3rd party company that's supposed to review the medical records doesn't do their job and get the medical records, they send you letters so you can call all the providers that have billed them and get medical records sent to them - with the catch of they don't give you an address or fax number to send the records to. $50 co-pay for urgent care visits, but they have contracts with the urgent care clinics that accept them to charge as Primary care visits and not as urgent care. So they actually end up being $300+. Do not cover preventative care. Better off going with no insurance and paying cash.

I enrolled with this insurance company and the next day I cancelled the plan because the Agent lied. Then I called repeatedly since Dec’24 to stop the payments from being deducted from my bank acct. I even filed a BBB report, BBB did nothing to help stop this FRAUD! I now have a another FRAUDLENT payment on my bank acct!

I never missed a payment, or was late with this insurance company. I was short on funds one month, called and requested a later payment date. They told me that was fine and scheduled it for the 31st. They then still drafted my account on the original date causing an overdraft. I called in hopes of them rectifying the issue, but after a half hour on hold, they would neither accept responsibility for the issue nor issue a refund for the overdraft charge. They're priced cheap, because they're cheap.

This ins DOES NOT pay. I just went to dentist and my bill was over $ 3000.00. The ins only paid a total of $375.00!!! This is a rip off and I do not recommend to anyone!!! I was told they should pay at least $1000. I have paid monthly premiums of over $20.00 per month for over 5 years! I should have saved my money and used to pay dentist!!

I signed up for this recently, a huge mistake! The agent was very nice and appeared to be helpful, but once I actually signed, got no replies to emails or phone calls for questions that she assured me would answer! Agent also told me no waiting period and am needing work done. Although I have yet to file a claim, I'm almost positive there will be an issue. From the moment I signed, this has been a nightmare! Can anyone recommend good, well better, dental insurance! This is the only dental insurance I have, so it needs to be fairly decent! Someone please help with this.... But, buyer do NOT sign up for UHC Golden Rule Dental!!!

Been paying for this coverage for several years for my family. We paid $120 a month for 4 family members. So, about $3600 bucks when we made our first claim for my son who broke his foot playing basketball. Submitted the medical records and the paperwork. I might as well have mailed it to Santa at the North Pole. This was in 2022, We checked on the claim 6 months and a year after submitting, we were told it's under review. It’s been 2.5 years now and still haven’t received anything and no response at all!!

I have been paying my premiums every month and recently had to have hip replacement surgery. My 12,000 claim was denied because was told not due to an injury. The out patient facility and physical therapy was not paid. The 8,000 anesthesia also not paid. Documentation was sent and still nothing. Now I stick with all these bills and should have just claimed self pay, no insurance and would have been a lot less or simply find another ins co.

I got a call from Golden Rule Dentistry and I explained to the young lady that we had a disagreement about her lying to me about a prescription and she refused to see me so I was quite confused when I got a call to come in for work on December 3 at 10:30, at 9:57 AM on December 3 they called to tell me it was a misunderstanding and that my appointment was canceled because she didn’t read the notes again. She wasted my time. Had me getting up and dressed.
Called me five minutes before my ride was to pick me up wasting my time again. She’s trying to build her clientele up if she reached out to me. Not happy about them playing games with me. She called me on the second to confirm and I explained to her that Dr. ** and I had a disagreement what happened to her clients that they were reaching out for new clients. I don’t trust her and I was gonna let her partner work on my mouth, but this worked out for the better. She is a liar. And I don’t appreciate her making me get up to get dressed after they called me on December 2 to verify my appointment.

I was bamboozled into getting this plan. They denied my coverage based on pre existing conditions (have been treated for anxiety and depression) so I had to pay more for my personal plan separate from my family with annual maximums. I didn't think that'd be an issue as our family doctors and pediatrician were in network, but we pay 90% of costs OOP, and this insurance plan covers NOTHING. It's a total scam and they should be ashamed of how they trick open market individuals just trying to get health insurance into their exploitative claws.

This company is scamming my mom. They have been auto-debiting premiums from her account since October 2022 but she does not have coverage with them, nor did she authorize auto-debits. Their website is a sham and does not allow customers to contact anyone to fix issues. Therefore I have no way to stop the fraudulent auto-debits. Golden Rule should be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of a 78 year old disabled and blind person.

This company is basically a scam. They will take your money, and do whatever they can to prevent you from using your insurance. Do not buy their plans. Their customer service will avoid you at all costs. There are many things excluded from their plans, but no easy way to know what’s excluded before buying a plan. I would recommend them to no one. I will never ever do business with them again. Easily the worst insurance I have ever had.

The insurance was fine until I actually needed to use it for medical care. I pay over $400 a month and they are denying an annual physical saying preventative care isn’t included. I could have sworn it said PCP care was included when I signed up - that’s completely misleading. Who doesn’t cover a basic physical???? Crazy.

I have Golden Rule for dental. I pay monthly through my bank automatically. They have never sent me a card or email and I only have the last 4 digits of my ID number. I called to get the ID number but you can't get anything without the whole ID number which they never gave me. I'm 76 and on Medicaid and Medicare. If I don't give verified information from Golden Rule that I am paying this insurance then I will lose my Medicaid. I tried to get it through my United Health Care but they put me on hold and it hangs up on me every time and they never call me back like they say they will. I just need to get new insurance companies. This is awful.

Golden Rule are a bunch thieves! They deny every claim unless it's something life threatening. Do not waste your time with this awful company. My wife needed an emergency c-section, and they denied the hospital claims. Thankfully I was able to use the special enrollment period to add my wife and son to my health insurance.

I called to find out when my dental plan expired. The first person took my name and birthdate then transferred me to senior Medicare/medicaid sales. Didn’t say anything, didn’t ask why I was calling, just transferred me. I don’t feel comfortable with giving personal details to someone who isn’t helpful-that should be obvious. An hour and 2-3 people later I discover that the prompted transfer system isn’t working right so I might have been sent to the wrong department. Fine, but why did it take over an hour to be told this? Not only does their system not work properly, but I was told that it’s possible the first person isn’t even with Golden rule insurance. So my concern of a security threat is viable!
I called the customer service number on my monthly emailed receipt! And it might have gone to someone who doesn’t work for the company?!?! Who I just gave info to?! You can’t speak to anyone in the company without giving your personal info and they can’t even guarantee that who you speak to works for the company or is who you were supposed to be directed to? The second person put me on hold then disconnected the call. It’s not an American based call center so there’s the language barrier and I spent a good portion of that time running in circles trying to explain that their team member needed coached on communicating to people or a fraud investigation needs done if something was fishy-they supposedly don’t even have record of that first call!
I’ll also add in, today I changed my name to my maiden name….again. Because they apparently didn’t do it the first time. This isn’t a trust worthy company and you will be passed off/hung up on so they don’t have to answer for their suspicious activity. I did record everything after the first call in case the security fail turns into a security threat so an attorney would have more than my word and their elusive data.

Don't do business with these people, they are an utter scam and will do everything in their power to not provide you service and pay out basic claims. I had the insurance while out of work and attending school. They would not cover even basic dr visits for a shoulder injury, no pre-existing issue. I had one appointment then a referral to a sports medicine office. They would not provide support for either. Asked for claim documents, medical waivers and medical history. Despite providing all of this for someone who never goes to the Dr they wouldn't support these appointments. Save your money and skip these people.

Regrettably, I must convey my continuing profound dissatisfaction with the level of service provided by GoldenRule/United HealthOne. It appears that there has been a deliberate oversight of pertinent information by their organization time and time again, resulting in a disruption of my coverage and an unjust increase in my monthly premium. This experience has been nothing short of distressing, and I have resolute in my commitment to pursuing the necessary escalations to safeguard my interests. Unfortunately, I don't think most people have the knowledge and tenacity to continue the letter writing and escalations to to and including the CEO level.
The policy you describe sounds more like a form of extortion than genuine insurance. The exorbitant monthly fees coupled with a super high deductible create a scenario where individuals are essentially paying a hefty sum for coverage that only kicks in during extreme circumstances such as cancer or major traumatic injuries. This approach prioritizes profit over the well-being of policyholders and exacerbates the financial burdens already faced by many Americans.
It's disheartening that companies like GoldenRule/United HealthOne can operate in a manner that seems to exploit and take advantage of the American population. This is not just an issue with one company but reflects systemic flaws within the American healthcare system and government oversight. The lack of regulation and accountability allows for these practices to persist, ultimately harming individuals who rely on these services for their health and well-being. Overall, my experience highlights the urgent need for comprehensive reform within the American healthcare system to ensure that individuals receive fair and affordable coverage without being subjected to predatory practices by insurance companies such as what I have experienced with GoldenRule/United HealthOne.

This company is the worst ever for dental insurance. I was told for $50.00 a month that I would be covered for dentures. After all the work was completed and the bill was sent off to them $5400.00 they have the nerve to tell me that $125.00 is all I will be covered for. So after paying for this for 4 months I'm in the hole for it all. Customer service is terrible. Nobody knows what they are talking about. Beware of this company.

This insurance is a joke. I have to admit, I didn't do my research, because I had been a very healthy person and basically only went to the doctor for physicals. I wasn't on any meds. Shortly after I got this insurance, I started with severe nose bleeds and ended up in the hospital and at the doctor's more than I had been my entire life. That's when I discovered all the loopholes this insurance has. So, they don't cover hardly anything. The CS is horrible. I would have almost been better off paying out of pocket. The last year they kept saying my insurance had terminated, but it wasn't because I was paying the outlandish monthly charge to prove it.
My premium increased $100 the second year. If I wouldn't have been eligible for Medicare after a couple months, I would've definitely cancelled. I kept having to contact the billers and have them resubmit my claims. I went for a yearly physical, which should have been covered, but I ended up paying. They said it was because of the way the doctor coded it, and I would have to have the doctor resubmit the claim. This would have taken a ridiculous amount of time. So, I paid it. I think United Health Care is a good insurance company, so I don't understand why this company is so bad. I agree with the guy that said they are scamming us. Whatever you do, don't get this insurance.

Member for 15 years of United Healthcare GOLDEN RULE... Paying $1300 every month and I feel SCAMMED by the Company. I am a patient at the Mount Sinai center in Key Biscayne. I visited Dr. ** (head) on January 9, 2024 and she sent me a blood test to know how I am and prevent. Results were not very good, since the doctor ordered me a prescription for ** or **, due to pre-diabetes, and also a heart exam to make sure. We have called the United company countless times with the help of the secretary of the Mount Sinai Center with endless 2-hour calls and they answer that in 24 hours they will send me an approval email, LIE! I have not received anything, neither I nor the Center... Waiting for the entire month of January and as of today, NOTHING AT ALL.... What do I have to wait for? To die?

This company is a scam. I canceled my insurance on the same day they took out my money for the premium (that actually increased), I called about getting a refund and I was told I would get a full refund in 7-10 days. I get my refund back and it’s $260, less than my original premium $ 287, and the money they took out of my account for the new premium $291. I called customer service, and the person was not helpful, and she tried to justify the inconsistency. Save your money.

Horrible experience. Honestly, Is better to self pay than having this insurance. They do not cover most of the basic services. I learn that I spent less money paying out of pocket that using this insurance. I called several time to see how much will be my financial responsibility for services like preventive care. Depending on who you talk to, you will get answers like " its not cover until you meet your 12,500 deductible or only colonoscopy is covered. (RED FLAG). My Dr ordered a diagnostic mammogram and because I have a high deductible plan, the facility gave me a estimate of $237 for self pay.
I called the insurance to see how much will be my financial responsibility for this procedure, they told me that they couldn't give me an exact amount because it depends on the hospital contract with the insurance and the claim has to be submitted so they can negotiate the amount. My claim came back for $409!!! Amount billed $469- discount applied $60 total- $409. DO NOT SIGN UP for this insurance. It is not worth it. They do not care about your health or wellbeing.

I called an insurance broker - explained what I wanted the service for and it was mainly so I could get coverage to start seeing a therapist. I got the plan info and called in immediately. When I called I was told mental health was not under my plan. I was a little discouraged since that was the main reason I got the plan to begin with. Due to the trouble, they offered me a full refund. This was all completed within the hour. They were very informative and apologized. Even offered me plans that go cover mental health. It wasn’t their fault at all, it was the insurance broker who didn’t inform me well and sold me a plan that didn’t have the coverage I specifically asked for. Yes, they did transfer me over a bit but once I was connected they handled me & met my expectations. I work in customer service so coming from me, they were great.
