The rate per kwh is averaging 75% higher than NG. If the only benefit is the comfort that I am having a negligible impact on the carbon footprint of the world, I can think of a few less expensive charities with more tangible results that could benefit from the cost difference.

BEWARE! In 36 months I was with them, my 34 months the rate increased. 1 month stayed the same. 1 month went down by a fraction of a percent. Deceptive advertising and marketing. My (average $100 bill), climbed to $450 in 36 months. I blamed it on COVID, and the market... when I compared to my neighbours, we quickly realized that we were scammed. A strongly worded complaint only got me 6 months' difference refunded. Write to your State Attorney General, and the Public Utility Commission. Cite fair pricing, and deceptive/predatory marketing in any complaint. Also, they produce no clean energy... the purchase "energy credits", and market them to you as them producing clean energy through co-operations.

I signed on as it was advertised at 11-14 cents klw. It jumped to 23 cents, $182 more than jcpl would have charged on the same bill. Ridiculous! I plan to call them but this is insane. Do not sign up with CleanChoice. $584 for one month!!

The 'fixed rate' has begun increasing over the past year from .226 to .286, to where it is now 25% more than my standard supplier. I understand that Trump may be shutting down the wind farms, but I don't believe we should be paying for it, especially unasked.

Back in very late 2022 or early 2023 my electric provider was encouraging folks to choose their own energy suppliers. I took a 2 year contract at an approximate .16/kwh which was reasonable at the time. A few weeks later I received mail from CleanChoice Energy prompting me to complete my sign-up or to confirm.. I don't remember exactly, but my electric company at the time was going through its own site and billing issues and I thought maybe they hadn't transitioned to my new energy supplier so I either went online as the mail instructed or I filled in the information and sent a hard copy to CleanChoice to make sure the transition would go through.

Exactly like another Pittsburgh consumer said in her review: "I checked the cost per kilowatt hour against my old supplier and there is was!!!, even though I was told nothing would change. Don't pick your electric supplier in a Grocery store! I have no idea why I signed up for this after being approached in a local grocery store but I feel like a first-class idiot. It wasn't like I needed the $5 gift card..." I am paying $0.103 per kilowatt hour now and will have to pay $0.129 KWH starting next month. That's a 25% increase!! A highway robbery!!! I don't even want to calculate how much more I will have to pay for the year before I can cancel it.

CleanChoice Energy Often times sends deceptive marketing via mail misrepresenting themselves as a cheaper alternative to the main supplier. They often times also display in bold letters "$100 Refund on your electric bill", or "ATTENTION NEEDED". Often times this can be misleading or even trick more vulnerable consumers, especially the elderly. Their customer support is beyond useless and shady. It took many hoops to un-enroll. Essentially a scam for bold letter marketing. Remember to ALWAYS read the fine print.

It wasn't like I needed the $5 gift card and it's not that I wasn't fully aware of the destructiveness of those horrible windmills and unreliability of solar power. I sure paid dearly for that gift card! Back to good old, reliable coal fired energy as fast as I could. You want me to supply a receipt so I can be labeled as a Verified Buyer? How about a before AND after receipt? I am not happy, so even though this doesn't really apply here, I just REALLY feel like saying it, so I will! DRILL BABY, DRILL!!

CleanChoice has been very good. They keep me informed as to what I'm using and sent me my renewal, which was very reasonable. The enrollment was very simple. I just followed the directions that were in their site. In fact, I’ve recommended it to a few friends who also did it and also found it to be very easy to do. I'm very pleased with CleanChoice.

I have solar on my house and I don't have very many choices that have net metering. Clean Choice was one of the only net-metered options. Their enrollment process was easy. I went through the PA Choice website and went from there. Pennsylvania has a website for choosing a different electric supplier and you can go through that. It's simple. However, I had to negotiate lower rates at renewal. It doesn't automatically renew at the best available rate.

We joined CleanChoice a few years ago but we moved away and then came back. It was straightforward to rejoin. I did it on the website. The first time, we had someone come to the door and that went fine too.

The enrollment process was simple. As far as how it worked, it was just a online thing. I put in my account information and then they did everything else.

CleanChoice had a good price for a one-year term with no early termination fees, no cancellation fees and no sign-up fees. And it was a fixed price for a year. When the year was up, I missed a month and our bill was much higher so I called and told them I was going to switch to a different supplier. But said they would give me a lower price to continue. So, I did and I've had them for probably a year and a half now.

I recently installed solar panels to my home and clean energy worked better with that whole program. It was smooth. The reps were very helpful. They gave an incentive like a gift card to help with that. They made me make my mind up for sure that it was what I wanted to do.

I called CleanChoice Energy to enroll, then I filled out a paper and sent it in. They were great, and the rate is good.

Enrollment was a little complicated because we had to get account numbers from PSE&G and a lot of stuff to make the transfer, but it worked out. It's automatic renewal unless we cancel, and when we were told that our automatic renewal was up, we didn't make any change. I like the principle of CleanChoice Energy.

I've had CleanChoice Energy for a while, and I am pleased with the service. They offered a cheaper cost of power. However, I have to keep up with it because they don't automatically renew. I would have to sign up for it again. It doesn't roll over to the next year. It screwed me one year because all of a sudden, I was back paid the full cost of power directly from PECO, which is higher than the CleanChoice. Other than that, it's a great deal. See if you can get CleanChoice in your neighborhood.

So far, it's been very good. CleanChoice is delivering what they promised. They have 11.9 cents fixed rate, and they've been holding to it.

I prefer to pay for clean energy versus gas or coal. But I could do without the extra emails coming in. The less phone calls and emails we get that we don't need is always better.

I've enrolled with CleanChoice for at least three times and it was easy. I did it by mail and on the phone as well. You can negotiate with them. So things go on in various ways. The renewal process was also very easy. You just sit back and let it happen. I have them in two different houses and the prices kind of vary wildly. So it'd be nice if I could have a unified approach, but I don't know if they deal with it separately or what happens. The houses are in two different areas of the state. They give you good deals to start out. But when they raise it and it's understood that they have the right to do that, you can negotiate with them.
