      The men who came to do the installation were excellent! Very polite, conscious of their surroundings and work! The only negative review I would have is about the salesman, Jordan **. From the start he was in communications, answering texts, and the last 2 weeks he went silent. Have not been able to make contact. Jordan told me he would add the critter guard to our work order, which he failed to do and I was told they could not do it without speaking to Mr. **. This is a disappointment, but that is one person. The rest of the install, service was excellent.

      Today, I had the pleasure of being assisted by Michael in customer support. He was professional, cheerful, and very helpful. I think if you can hire 10 more employees like him your company may have the best customer support in the solar energy business. I was so impressed with him that I know he deserves several raises, but in lieu of that I offer a thousand thank yous from a grateful customer.

      I’m located in San Bernardino, CA and had a system installed with 34 panels and 2 Tesla backup batteries. My monthly payment is $264. While the pricing was more affordable compared to other companies, I strongly encourage anyone considering Freedom Forever Solar to read reviews like this before signing. My journey started in July 2025, and from the beginning, things seemed promising. The sales representative was great—responsive and helpful—until issues started. After signing, communication dropped off significantly. About two weeks after signing, the inspection was completed and I was told I needed to replace the roof paper due to shingles. That slightly increased my agreement cost, which I understood. However, scheduling became a nightmare. It took about 5 weeks just to get the roofing work scheduled.

      Once that was done, installation took about a week, followed by a quick city inspection (1–2 days). Then came the solar panel installation—but again, delays. It took another 1–2 months just to get scheduled, followed by another week of installation and inspection. The city approved everything within a week, which was great. Southern California Edison (SCE) also handled their part quickly—credit where it’s due.

      At this point, we were already about 4 months in. Then came the final step: turning the system on. I received a text with instructions, which I followed. However, the system didn’t activate properly. I was told it would take 5–7 days to reset. After waiting with no results, I called and was transferred across multiple departments—very frustrating. Eventually, I was told a technician was needed—but the earliest available appointment was a month out. That was shocking for such a large solar company. After waiting 1 month and 2 weeks, the technician finally arrived… and fixed the issue in 5 minutes by flipping a switch on his phone. That delay was completely unnecessary.

      Now that the system is finally running (April 2026), I’m still dealing with issues. I was never given a proper tutorial on how the system works, and the GoodLeap app isn’t showing any production data. To get support, I’m told I have to email instead of speaking to someone directly. Customer service has been extremely disappointing. It honestly feels like you need a part-time job just to follow up and get answers. Even my sales rep, who was initially very helpful, has completely stopped responding. Final Thoughts: Yes, the price may be cheaper—but you may pay for it in time, frustration, and lack of support. If I had known how difficult this process would be, I would have seriously reconsidered. Think twice, or be prepared to jump through a lot of hoops.

      I regret choosing Freedom Forever. To be clear, the system itself appears to function. That’s the only positive thing I can say. Everything beyond installation has been extremely disappointing. I requested a system performance review in October. What followed was months of chasing updates, multiple phone calls, and repeated assurances that my case had been “escalated.” Despite this, I received no meaningful communication or timeline. It ultimately took several months to complete what should be a straightforward production review. That alone is unacceptable. After the review was finally completed, I attempted to move forward and asked about options to better align production with my actual energy usage. I was told a separate team would reach out within 7 business days. They didn’t. No outreach. No update. No accountability.

      This has become a pattern:

      Missed timelines with no follow-through.
      “Escalations” that go nowhere.
      Different teams with no ownership.

      The burden constantly falling on the customer to chase answers.

      The most frustrating part is not the outcome—it’s the complete lack of execution and communication. Once the system is installed, you are essentially on your own unless you’re willing to continuously follow up and push for answers. If you’re considering Freedom Forever, understand this: the sales process may sound great, but the post-install support experience is disorganized, slow, and unreliable. I would not recommend working with a company that operates this way.

      The electrical connection on the outside of the house looks like shit. The installers crashed the HVAC ductwork in the attic and never told anybody about it. Drilled a screw hole through the bathroom wall and never told anybody about it. The electrician open up a fire barrier wall to install a conduit that cannot be covered up when the wall gets patch back per electrical code.. I've been doing electrical for 30 years. Things could have been done so much better and the work could have been done much cleaner and more presentable.

      I am writing this review to warn individuals in New Mexico of the issues and delays both in communication and technical service I have dealt with. The system was initially installed in early December 2025, and this week (April 8) I finally received my PTO. This delay was caused by lack of communication and poor oversight by the "New Mexico" team. To make matters worse, once I received my PTO, the system is still not functioning ... The system is not charging ... When calling the technical support ...after several attempts waiting in excess of 45 minutes each, I spoke to a customer service representative who advised they couldn't schedule a technician because they had to coordinate with a Regional team...

      Still have not heard back....so ...I would suggest avoiding this company unless you want to deal with a centralized customer service center that has no access to the people who actually do the work and never hear from the people who actually are responsible for doing the job. Yes, Freedom Forever, I have had a "dedicated Customer Service Rep"... which has done very little to speed up or coordinate a response to get my system running....so paying for ornaments on my roof and PNM is extremely frustrating and irritating.
