So I scheduled to stay at this location on March 15th for the dates of March 18th to 20th. I printed their web page confirmation and deleted the email because I didn't think I needed it after I had the printout, so because the price total was about $100 bucks for the weekend that seemed off to me so I called to confirm and they said "no". They had booked me for the 15th, checking out the 16th and I scanned and sent them my print out so they changed the dates and gave me a total of about $200 for the weekend. I still took it since I thought it was not bad.

I scheduled this and even called again to double confirm just in case. I saved the email this time just in case. So Friday the 18th comes my family and I are on our way for our vacation at Disneyland. And I get a call from a man named RAVNIEL who said he was some type of assistant manager. He very coldly told me my reservation was cancelled and said he could not accommodate me. At first I thought it was a joke but he was being serious and when I asked him why he very aggressively kept saying he could not accommodate me over and over again he could not give me a reason. I told him we were on our way. He did not care and told me he did not have to talk to me anymore and hung up on me.

I called guest relations. They said they could not do anything. All they knew was that I was on a Do Not Rent List. I was completely confused by that since I have never stayed at Motel 6 in my life. I always go for nicer hotels which I will keep doing from now on and they told me that I had to talk to the GM of that location. So I rebooked with them at the location in Buena Park. We only stayed one night even though the staff there was very nice.

So today Monday the 21st I called the Disney Way Anaheim location and I asked to speak to the GM. At first they said he was not there to call back in an hour. So I called back and I spoke to the GM by the name of WYLIE. I thought he was going to be much more helpful but I was wrong. Mind you I am not the type of person to insult or cuss at anyone so I did not insult anyone here even though they did to me. But this man said I was a liar. He said he could not have this conversation over the phone. He was completely hostile said I was threatening him. I have never threatened anybody ever. He said he could not do anything. Basically he didn't care and I asked why I was put on that list. He would not say anything and when I kept asking he said he was going to disconnect the call and straight out told me I was not welcome there.

I have never been treated like a criminal because I am not and they made me feel like one. If you don't want your vacation ruined don't stay here. I am a regular family woman. In the end nobody could tell me why I was treated this way and not one person cared. I hope this prevents a family from going through what i went through. Good luck. And it is definitely worth paying a little more to stay at a better place.

When I checked in ask for a non-smoking room. Was given a room with burn holes in bed covers. Was moved to another room sine better. But there was no towels in room. Floor was nasty. Shower had hair in it. Washcloths had black hair in them. No room service at all for 3 days. This motel is not a good one to stay at. It's Motel 6 in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. I will never stay there again. This is the worst stay I've ever had. The only thing the manager did was give me 70.00 back and I paid 154.20. Was ask not to check out and he would make it right. But not!!!

Properties are more run-down, equipment is coming apart, bathroom fixtures are almost always broken, carpeting is horrendously filthy, door dead bolts often do not work, light bulbs are burned out, and Motel 6 Corporate has sealed themselves away from the angry hordes of insulted customers who pay for their lavish lifestyles. How do *they* sleep at night? "We'll leave the light on for you"...seriously? Their new slogan should be, "Pay Up, Shut Up, and Get Out."

My husband and I were traveling from FL to NV and decided to stop at the Motel 6 at 6 West 8311th Pl in Denver, CO. Their rates were listed as $45.00 but we were charged $66.00. Our room was nasty. The sheets had not been changed, there were roaches, the air and television didn't work. We called the front desk that night and the front desk clerk stated that she didn't have any rooms to move us to and couldn't offer a refund until the morning.

The morning rolls around and they only offered $10 back out of $66. I asked to speak to a manager and of course he wasn't there (go figure). The clerk told me that we could wait a few hours for pest control to come out and he would have to find eggs before they would believe us. I told her the roaches were dead on the floor. The clerk was so rude to me and basically said too bad and she didn't care. I got the GM card and attempted to call him for days after the incident and he refused our calls. Another clerk proceeded to tell me not to call back because they were tired of me calling and they were not giving us a refund. I had to call the corporate office to file a complaint. They offered us a free night at another Motel 6 to use anywhere anytime.

When attempting to book a room with my partner we were refused services after the guy at the window tried to charge us additional fees that he could not give an explanation for. When we asked for a breakdown of the charges he immediately informed us he no longer had any rooms available and told us to go elsewhere. So we were refused of services simply for asking a breakdown of charges. This is a form of discrimination and not only that the business as a whole is losing money. I will never return or book a room from that hotel again.

Weekends it's normally $59.99, OK understandable. Yesterday, weekend, Saturday he was being charged $110.00. Clerk told him they had to higher the rate because there were a lot of people coming to the casinos. Really? Seriously? Price gouging. Smh, everyone should have the regular weekend price and especially truckers should be granted regular price since they stop at motels everyday. But motel 6 in Eagle Pass, TX just over did it. Sadly this will be passed by word of mouth and not to say disappointed how they treated my husband. It's just WRONG.

Recently stayed in the cockroach infested Motel 6 at 82195 Indio Blvd in Indio, CA. Pretty sure it had bedbugs too, something was crawling around in there. Afraid to use anything in the room, absolutely filthy and disgusting. Management blew smoke up my ** about possible refund, then disappeared from contact and of course kept their money. I spoke to corporate people in Dallas, TX and they are absolutely useless. I'm thinking the CEO, Jim Amorosia is a wannabe big time player that does the quick dividends to stockholders at the expense of long term customer satisfaction, figuring people will still stay at these rundown dumps. Wrong, Jim.

I'm actually shocked at the low mentality of the General Manager in Indio, he seemed barely able to comprehend his own words and was MAYBE a high school graduate - Julian maybe was his name? Anyway, no satisfaction anywhere with this place, will never, ever stay at Motel 6 or anything to do with G6 Hospitality Inc (Motel 6 corporate name). Funny G6 separated itself from the Motel 6 name, I can see why now... just yuck. I'm really sorry for the staff there, they seemed decent and tried, but it's a hopeless case - with that idiot as their manager, they are truly screwed. I'd find a job about anywhere else, guys.

I let the new owner know about the situation and he tells me he just became the GM 8 weeks so he will look into when he can but really that's not his problem and that I was lying when I had bite marks all over me! After a few days corporate called me and said they will issue me a refund check that should take about 30 days!

Tell me why I have to receive my check and when I called them to let them know they give me the run around! This hotel is nasty dirty and the attitudes of the morning staff and the GM is beyond horrible! The moment I checked in this motel from hell, the elevators were down, the leg of the bed broke in the junior bedrooms in the back, so the bed was lopsided. The first room had a lock on the tv and they're renovating all the rooms here and there are no signs warning their guest before you check in. All day yesterday, all night and bright and early this morning I have called and complained over and over again. My grandmother passed away two days ago. I buried her and I am a misery. Shopper who has taken a family leave from work I shop hotels and I have to say the customer service and rooms here really are bad. No understanding. All they offer is to move you to another room, no consideration for the guest, no values. I feel as if they didn't see me as a human being, but only as a $$$ sign. I had to walk to the front office if I didn't have my own telephone because the room had no telephone.

I am extremely upset and dissatisfied with the way I have been treated and the General manager could care less here. The customer service here was no help at all. Lots of gang members in and out of the rooms. Lots of activity late at night and all you hear is police sirens and helicopters on throughout the night. Not a very safe area for a family to bring their children. Very unsafe. I called the corporate office and told them everything I have stated here and they said to hold on and said they would call the GM here and ask them to give me some kind of refund due to being inconvenienced. And when she got back on the line she said that they refused to give me a refund because no one else has complained. But how would they? I'm in room ** on the 2 floor and the only people besides the construction company working on room **, 2 rooms down from me.

And we went to our car this morning to get my paperwork to write a report for this hotel. I saw some drug activity just by the stairs on the other side going on. It's ridiculous that they can care less about their guest's feelings or making sure that their stay here was comfortable. Not once did they even ask. So NEVER EVER TAKE A CHANCE AND BRING YOUR FAMILY TO THE MOTEL 6 ON VINEYARD AVE, ONTARIO, CA 91762. Very unsafe beds and a lot of dirt on the walls. And forget getting sleep and complaining to corporate for reimbursement, it won't happen. MOTEL 6 on Vineyard Ave. should be called THE BATES MOTEL 6. They have over 42 bad reviews. I've stayed at the PEPPER TREE which is a roach motel but MOTEL 6 is just as bad. I wouldn't even give them a 1/4 star. I'm going to personally see this motel gets shopped by me when I return to work or my close co-worker.

Motel 6 said it wasn't, they didn't care at all. I had to call repeatedly since no one called me back. I told them that staff had to take it! No big deal. They're uncaring and did nothing! Horrified that they don't care that staff stole a guest's belongings!!! I'm telling everyone, every way about this. Needless to say, I'll never stay there again and neither will my family or friends. As far as I'm concerned, they're allowing their staff to steal. I'm very angry.

Updated on 1/14/2016: I turned in a review on Motel 6 when I left a bag there with a lot of medicine and toiletries in it on 1/1/16 in Los Cruces, NM. It was there because I used it the morning I left. Motel 6 said it wasn't, of course. I explained it absolutely was there, they simply did not care. I had to wait and call lots of times to finally get the manager and she supposedly checked but took 10 hours to call me back! I sent email to guest relations, had to send two. I finally heard from them by email today... a canned response. They assured me they dealt with it and "will leave the light on for me"! What a ridiculous thing to say to me. I'm out a bunch of money but they're leaving the light on... Please don't stay at Motel 6. If employees can steal and management doesn't care, that's not where I want to go. I'm not done with this.

Horrible experience. Everything started when at 8 am, a person who first of all did not present himself first but trying to open the door, then knocked at the door and said that he was maintenance. He said that there was a leaking in the room. He insisted so much that it looked suspicious. The front desk never informed us that there was a leak in our bathroom and needed to be repair. Second, we forgot our orthopedic pillow (different pillow as theirs) and we called the same day. The Manager said that he will contact the personnel who cleaned the room and said that they said they did not find anything. He told me that probably was still in my car. Hello!! If I am calling is because I don't have it. His aptitude as manager was very questionable. Was trying to tell me that he did not find a pillow, tried to compromise myself by allowing me to speak with the person who cleaned the room? No need for it. He was supposed to manage the situation in different way.

My fact was that there were some dishonest people there (did not call name but the fact that a big pillow is going to disappear just out of the blue is questionable). I have been in different hotels and always the items left were found (credit cards, jeans, towels, computer, rings, dolls etc etc). I hereby doesn't recommend this hotel because manager is not a person who you can deal with when situations like this happen. He kept telling me that people has left computers, phones and never had a problem (I don't know, I was not there). If he was having honest personnel as he said, a simple pillow should have appeared. Never ever in that hotel.

Motel 6 was a shock. We repeatedly reserved a room and received email verifications of these reservations. We were repeatedly told later that we did not have reservations.

Each person we spoke with at the corporate office (five very long phone calls) was exceptionally kind and professional. They could not understand why the local Duncanville, Texas Motel 6 kept canceling our reservations, spoke with them and then reassured us that the new reservations they just made would stick. When we tried to contact the local hotel, we were sent from one phone extension to another until we were back to the original extension and the routine began again. Despite the fact that the room rate remained unchanged, room service changed. After five days, we were told, room service is essentially eliminated, diminished to only trash removal and towel allotment, and these limited to only every two days. (By the way, we always tip cleaning personnel quite well.) We will NEVER stay at a Blackstone Property again.

So after a couple of days I called the corporate office to complain and they advised to call the manager Sylvia. I received a call from her almost within a couple of minutes. I thought she would apologize and offer to train her employee(s) not to speak that way to their guests, but alas! She was even more rude telling me we can't stay there anymore!! I went to the motel on Monday, November 16th to report the error between the price quoted to my husband and what I was charged $45.99 + $2.30 + $3.22 + 5.00 taxes which totals $56.51. He would NOT give me a refund of the difference I was OVERCHARGED. He said it was too late because the payment had already been processed. WRONG!!! You can issue a refund anytime. The Motel 6 in Bremerton had a guest break a natural gas pipe on the building causing an explosion and fire destroying the end of the building and all of the personal property of several guests. The Motel 6 manager left the property and a clerk helped guests as best she could. The owners of Motel 6 and Corporate management would only use the Red Cross and other volunteers to help most of their guest. Several guests who lost all of their belongings in the rooms destroyed by the explosion things like vehicles, computers, phones, clothing were told by Motel 6 that they had no insurance to cover the guests loss's.

Motel 6 Corporate office in Texas claimed no responsibility to help guest in any way. Up to the posting of this review Motel 6 has not returned my room rent or helped in any way to replace over 11,000 dollars of my personal belongings. Moral to story Motel 6 is not a safe place to stay. If you or anyone you know suffered damages in the Bremerton Motel 6 Explosion on August 18th, 2015 and want to form a class action lawsuit against the owners and management of Motel 6 contact me **. I have complained to the front desk and have filed a report with guest relations, still each day three or four show up. Instead of dying they are multiplying. Either that or they are not spraying as I am being told. No motel should be allowed to operate under this condition. Motel Six slogan "we'll keep the lights on for you" - yeah do that, cause I need to see them roaches crawling up the walls when the lights are off. SMH. Motel Six reputation is at an all-time low; I can't say it's not deserved. It has become a safe haven for bums, degenerates, and prostitutes. It is no better than a sleazy motel that rents by the hour. The brand have lowered their standards and expect you, "the consumer" to lower yours. No thank you. The air did NOT work as they said it was on a single system either heat or AIR. This was never disclosed at time of check-in and payment. My daughter complained and asked for a refund as it was nasty and disgusting and dirty bed clothes as well as no air. They told her "open a window," which had NO screens. When she asked for a refund to go elsewhere they blatantly said NO!

The following day she waited for 4 hours for the GM who was supposed to help her with the situation at 10 am and also corporate was supposed to call back NOTHING! She paid with CASH! They then blacklisted her for complaining and refused to allow her to stay another night when she found that all other hotels were booked in her price range and turned her away, she slept in her car at 23 years old!

I am furious with this establishment. They are dirty, nasty, despicable, and should be sued for discrimination and misleading patrons and to the HEALTH department! DO NOT stay here, unless you like nasty and despicable accommodations, and employees, including corporate whom NEVER follows up! Our room was infested with spiders and stink bugs. The microwave and refrigerator were broken. You have to buy your shampoo and conditioner out of there snack vending machine. We had to buy ear plugs to sleep because of the dogs barking all night and loud people in the hallways.

The walls are paper thin. We told the staff but they acted like we were a burden. The only staff member who was wonderful to us was Ginger, she helped us a lot. We asked the cleaning lady to please leave us 3 towels and 3 wash cloths but all she did was put those in a bag and Sat them outside our room. She didn't clean our room that day either. She never changed out sheets and we were there for 4 nights. She didn't sweep or mop. The thermostat cover falls off every time you touch it. The bathroom was designed horrible and tiny. The cable TV sucked as it only had about 25 channels and you have to pay for WiFi?! And if you have more than one device you have to pay for each one separate. Upon asking the front desk girl that was working, I asked, "Why does your competitors on either side of you offer free WiFi and we have to pay?" Whereas her response was, "Well that's how we keep our room rates so cheap. If we offer the WiFi for free, then we'd have to charge extra for the rooms." Yea, that's a load of crap!

Right now, I moved to a different motel that has free WiFi and is way lower than this establishment with wayyyyyy better amenities. Also, not to mention that when we were leaving to checkout, we got stuck in the elevator. My husband and I stayed there because air went out in apartment, we first night was okay then come around second night. At 12:16 am we were asleep and police beat on door like they were trying to knock it down. So I woke my husband and he answered the door not knowing what was going on. The cops asked his name and him, like I said not knowing what the problem was, said his name and they said "well we had an anonymous call and that you have a warrant for missed court date" that my husband wasn't even aware of because attorney said it hadn't been set yet.

So anyway to sum it up he went to jail and later was told the Motel 6 was basically informants for McCracken county police. Motel 6 calls Bulletin Ops and gives names of guests who check in. They acted as though he was a criminal and was on the run. It's ** and wrong when all he done was missed court date by accident because was told it hadn't even been set yet. So for all those out there that can read this beware of the violating of guests. He wasn't there bothering or interrupting any other guests or cause flack with any of the employees either.

The faucets were broken and overall the room itself was in bad shape. The bedspread had burn holes in it. I didn't enjoy the experience at all.

While traveling this August, we stayed in a remodeled Motel 6 in Billings Montana. I have to say, I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the smell of the building! We then asked the desk staff to reserve a room for us in Caper, Wyoming for the next night. Again the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the building was clean. We stayed in a smoking room and couldn't smell a thing! Thank you to the staff of the two hotels for keeping your new remodel clean and bug-free!

Again asked staff to reserve a room for us in Denver, Colorado. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT EXPECT A PLEASANT STAY. The staff had tattoos all over their body, the room reeked of pot, and the air didn't work. Tried to spray the room with Lysol, didn't work. Asked the staff to send a maintenance man, he told us that he was not certified, so he could not help us. And the other guests we saw, looked like meth heads. One guest was in the parking lot with his van jacked up, working under it. When we asked for a refund, staff was very quick and pleasant.

It stunk so bad with marijuana and cigarettes I had to go buy a air freshener and turn fan so my family and I can catch our breath but it is hard when you have bad allergies and asthma. It was also my son's birthday. What a way to spend it. Not only that we had a drunk as a neighbor who had no respect for the quiet time that they so abide by at check in, they were fighting, yelling, screaming and violent. This was all hours of the night. I got maybe 3 hours of sleep. The police were called by several. That was a joke. They went to the wrong room. Before, I remember wifi was free. Since when do they charge for every thing? Geez! This place was a joke and I will never stay there again. Not only that the room was not clean at all.

If you have to stay at a motel find another one or stay at the La Quinta where they treat their guest with respect.

I went to the office and there was a security officer and someone else working. Both said they were not on shift but we're both told to lock me out of my room because there was a party which was not but at the time they say there was a "party" who were my sisters visiting me and we are not loud. By far also they were told there was banging on the wall which was from killing the fruit flies. Also that I was in a smoking room but couldn't smoke in my too, mand was supposed to take the ashtray out to smoke.

Also there was an unauthorized person in my room which was my sister and at check in age was standing right next to me and the lady who did the paper work didn't even ask for ID but knew she was staying in the room because we have her 3 license plates to put down which were then the rent. A cop followed me up to my room but would not even let me walk to get my sister to bring her ID. He chased me up the stairs after I told him I was unconformable with how close he was to me. He told me that I needed to speak to management. When I asked for the number he said it was franchise and there was no one to call. This Is the worst place ever. Awful and dramatic experience... I want to warn everyone about this Motel 6 located on 160 Steelwell Road, Brampton, ON. Last night, July 25th, after driving for more than 10 hours I, together with my boyfriend and my 2 cats, decided to sleep over at this known American's original pet friendly hotel, before continuing our journey back to our hometown in Quebec. We checked in at 8h45 p.m. in room 136 and once inside I realized that it didn't offer a familiar environment. Young ladies come and go all night long. It was really noisy, and I couldn't even sleep... Around 5h30 a.m. I finally slept and to my great despair when I woke up at 9 a.m. one of my cats (Himalayan Blue Point with doll face) WAS MISSING, couldn't be found anywhere inside the room. I only found his collar near the door!

I contacted the front desk agent and he didn't even care about my complain and despair. I asked him about the cameras in the hotel, if it was possible to check the videos because my cat disappeared inside the property, inside my room. He really didn't worry about it and continued his job. I asked to see the manager or the person in charge and he said he would be there only on Monday morning. I told him I would call the police and he ironically even said that he doubted that the officers would come because of a CAT (answer of an employe of a hotel chain known for caring about our beloved pets).

The police officers came and couldn't find any sign of forced entry (windows or door)... but the cat was gone, simply vanished into room's thin air. I even tried to contact once again the front desk agent who arrived in the afternoon to ask him to check the key card locker and also to ask him to print a picture of my cat. He was worse than the one who was working in the morning shift... basically he just asked to see the picture of my cat. I could note that he had some knowledge of cat's breeds because when he saw the picture immediately he recognized that it was a Himalayan blue point.

Anyway, he just gave me the manager's card, Mr. ** and repeated that I could contact him Monday; left me by myself, went to meet 2 men who were there to verify the sprinkler room and went outside to light a cigarette. Basically he just acted as the morning shift agent... without any basic standards of a hotel organization customer service. Unfortunately plunged in a state of hopeless despair, into the depths of anguish, sadness and frustration, I had to leave Brampton, ON without any apologies, help or explanations from the hotel representatives. Even the police officers were further more supportive than them.

I felt that they really didn't care about the situation. It seemed that they were used to this kind of occurrence in their workplace. Between tears and fear for what may have happened with my beloved cat, I really hope that I can find someone responsible for this property who is genuinely committed, who is really sensitive to other people's feelings. Someone who can help me answer the question: How can an indoor cat disappear inside a HOTEL ROOM WHILE THERE ARE PEOPLE INSIDE THIS SAME ROOM? Where is the security of this place? I chose this property because I trusted Motel 6 chain... SO IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR LIVES AND LOVE YOUR PETS STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL 6... DON'T TRUST THEIR SLOGAN WE'LL KEEP THE LIGHTS ON FOR YOU. They are only good enough to keep darkened depths on...

**DISCLAIMER!! I go into extreme detail during this review, in order to tell my full experience. There may be times when reading, you might feel as though what I share is unnecessary. However, I wrote this review as honest as I could, and at times that honesty pulled on a need to be incredibly candid/descriptive. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.**

To be honest I really didn't want to write this review. I said to myself once I checked out, I would never talk about the experience again. However for months what happened there at that Motel 6, has really weighed on my heart and mind. First off let me say that in no way is this review meant to be malicious. My intentions are not to bash the characters of the employees in this establishment, as I do not know them personally, and am only speaking from the interactions had with them. In fact I will mostly attribute the issues encountered here to the the manager of the location.

I would like to first address the following positives, before sharing my list of woes. To begin, let me start by saying, that the building was very well decorated. It was the nicest Motel 6 I or my mother had ever been in. The room we were in was pretty spacious, had a window seat, and a nice up to date television. The room also had a small refrigerator, microwave, and spacious bathtub. The front desk attendant who we initially checked in with, was very kind, accommodating and friendly. And I must also mention the cleaning ladies, who were overall absolutely wonderful.

Unfortunately the praise stops there. Now before I get into any of the negatives I must share a bit of background information. The reason for my mother, and I's arrival to this destination, was due to a fire we had been in. Because of the crisis my mother, family dog (Chiweenie breed) and myself, were forced to leave our home of almost 13 years, because the fire left it unlivable. This was something that we shared with the front desk attendant upon arrival, and he was very nice to the both of us. We informed him that we had a medium size dog, and he said that it was fine, as Motel 6 is pet-friendly.

When we arrived all we had was what we had managed to get out of the apartment so far, and very little money. We didn't know it at the time, but this is where we would spend the next month and a half. My mother and I ended up getting very sick during the first month of our stay with the flu. We were constantly weak with fever, coughing, and at times vomiting. Because of our condition we chose to not allow housekeeping in for the duration we were ill.

One day in the afternoon of February 20th 2015, I got up and began to sort clothes that needed to be washed. My mother and I had just received a donation from a friend so that we could do laundry. I had just found out that the Motel 6 we were staying at, had 1 washer and dryer set located on the third floor. Earlier during the day housekeeping had just dropped off some fresh linen, and at our request allowed us to make the bed ourselves because we were still very sick. Housekeeping informed us that they would pick up the old linen the following day. As I was pulling out things to wash and microwaving a Styrofoam cup of Theraflu, we received a knock on the door. Like most dogs my dog began to bark, and I proceeded to pick her up and answer the door.

Once the door was opened, an average size Indian man stood before me with a frown on his face. The first thing he said to me was "Why didn't you inform us that you had a dog?" I told him that I had checked my dog in almost a month ago when we first arrived. He insisted that we hadn't and then went on to say that there was a smell coming from our room that was coming into the hallway, and he wanted to check inside. Now keep in mind my mother and I were very sick and couldn't smell anything let alone breathe out of our noses. I let him in and he looked at the clothes on the floor and said that the room was messy. He also said that the room smelled bad.

He then looked on the edge of my mother's bed and saw the linen housekeeping had given us to replace our beds with, and asked how we had gotten extra sheets and pillow cases. I informed him on what housekeeping and I had discussed and he was clearly upset. He said that he would be sending housekeeping back to our room and we were to let them in. I told him that wouldn't be a problem and he left our room. That was the first encounter I had with the manager of the building. I had never saw him throughout the whole month we were there, but I later found out that his name was Hiral **.

Immediately after he left I began to bag the clothes I planned to wash, strip the bed and replace it with the new linen, and make the room as neat as possible. After tidying I began to get on my hands and knees and wipe the floor with a mixture of Fabuloso, water and a bit of Mr. Clean. About a half a hour after I finished cleaning, a member of housekeeping came into the room and asked me what exactly needed to be done. Housekeeping looked around and said that the room looked and smelled fine, but decided to take the old linen, and mop/sweep the floor. Once housekeeping left I immediately called the front desk where Mr. ** was stationed, and asked if he would come give his stamp of approval for the room. He said that he would, but never came to check the room.

However the universe is a pretty funny place. As I mentioned before, we had been there almost a month at this point and aside from the toilette occasionally getting stomped up we had never had any issues with our room. But this particular day Mr. ** was to come check to see if our room was to his liking, my dog got locked in the bathroom. We called the front desk, told him the situation and he came to unlock the bathroom door. While he was unlocking the door I asked if he could check the room out while he was here and he said no he had to get back to the front desk. He unlocked the bathroom door, and then proceeded to rush out of the room. He was standing right there and wouldn't even peek around the corner to approve the room.

A little later I went to the front to see if I could get a new room key, because mine wasn't working, and when I asked him if he had ever confirmed rather or not we checked our dog in, he said that he saw that it was recorded we had did so. However he never apologized for accusing me of not doing so. The following day we were to pay for another week's stay at the motel, since we hadn't heard back from the new apartment we had applied for yet. Our pastor had volunteered to come out and pay the bill on our church's behalf. When we didn't hear anything from the pastor, we called to see if he was running late. He then informed us that he had in fact came, and Mr. ** refused to allow him to pay for another week. After hearing this I got dressed and went out into the lobby to speak with Mr. **.

Once I reached the desk I struggled a bit to speak, because my voice had still not returned due to my having the flu. I asked him why he had refused to let us pay for another week. He stated that he didn't want us to stay because of the smell. I was dumbfounded. Just the prior day I had asked him numerous times to come and see if the room was more to his liking. I even pointed out the fact that he wouldn't look at the room even when he was standing right inside the front door. He then told me that when he had come to unlock the bathroom door, the smell wasn't as bad but he still smelled it a little, and we would have to leave.

I must pause the story here to tell you the reader, that at no point had I become disrespectful. I never raised my voice as I didn't have one to begin with, but I also try to live my life in humility. I understood that I was in his establishment, and like it or not I needed to be there for the time being.

Once he told me that he wanted us to leave, I begin to plead with him. I told him that it was very hard to find a motel/hotel that took pets, and that wasn't extremely expensive. He pointed in the direction of another hotel across the street, and said they took pets. I reiterated my point about our funds not allowing us the privilege to stay there, and that we were fire victims. I told him that the prior day, I had gotten on my hands and knees while still sick, to clean the room with cleaning products. I also made sure that my laundry was sorted and bagged. I also told him that, by the time housekeeping came to clean the room to his standards there was nothing to do, but remove the old linen. His reply was yet another blow to my feelings. He stated that I shouldn't had used my cleaning products, and housekeeping was to use his chemicals to clean the room. I chose not to address that statement, as it was his room.

I then went on to ask if there was another room we could switch to. I told him that prior to I and my mother getting the flu, we smelled an extremely musty spicy odor in the room, when we first arrived. He didn't really respond to my question. I was later informed by another resident, that the strong musty odor we smelled upon arrival, was some type of curry. I remember asking him if he had a heart. His reply was, of course he had a heart, that is why he didn't ask us to leave the day before, but instead allowed us to stay our last paid night. I asked him what exactly did he smell wrong with the room. He said that it didn't smell fresh, and it just didn't smell hygienic. He also pointed out that someone had called the front desk at 11 pm the prior night, to report barking from our dog. He said that it was his duty to make sure all guest were comfortable.

However, he said that his main concern wasn't the barking, as he understood that dogs were like kids, and his main concern was the smell. He said that he might have to redo the whole room on our account. I couldn't believe that this is how he was treating fire victims. Earlier in the day my mother had asked him, how he could overlook the smell of cigarettes and marijuana (which was strictly prohibited), but could desire to kick us out on account of our belongings smelling like the oil fire we had just been in. His only response, was that in cases when we smelled such things, it was our duty to report it.

I'm going to pause the story here yet again to address the barking that was heard that night. Once he said that someone had called the front desk complaining about barking at 11 pm, I knew exactly the incident he was speaking of. That night my mother, I and our dog, heard people having wild sex in the room next to us. The walls were so thin that one could be heard, coughing, laughing, talking, and yes having sex. Not only did we hear the smacking, moaning, and thumping that was happening next to us. We heard the language that led up to it. All the intimate sexual things that are suppose to remain between the two engaging in the intercourse, we heard. So that night, once the two parties involved began to act on their emotions, my dog began barking because she thought someone was being hurt. To mask the noise we chose to simply turn up the television, and coerce her to go to sleep.

The whole barking incident lasted a brief total of no more than two minutes. To be completely truthful my dog only barked when someone knocked on our door, when I left the room, or when she heard loud noises coming from other rooms. However I must admit that when she barked it was really loud though brief. To address the issue of privacy once more, I feel the need to point out that our main issue was the room next to us that we shared an inside door with. For some reason, we were always able to hear in great detail things that were taking place, and I'm sure vice versa. On our opposite side however we heard faint moaning and bumping noises once, or twice, but not as loud or intrusive.

Getting back to the story, Mr. ** ended up saying that he would allow our pastor to pay for a few more days, on the condition that we allowed housekeeping to come everyday, and get our linen changed every other day. He told me that after a period of three days, if the smell continued we would have no choice but to leave. Our pastor returned, and ended up paying for yet another week instead of three days. We were told that if after three days we were still asked to leave, we would receive the remaining balance from the week paid.

When we first arrived the initial fee for one week was 350 dollars. However our pastor was told that we would have to pay 420 dollars that week, as the price had risen. I found it a bit odd, however I understood that hotels/motels tend to raise their prices due to whatever is happening in town that week. Though as I recall, I don't believe that there were any events going on that would boom business that particular week, though I could be wrong.

Later that night after Mr. ** had left, I went back to the front desk to speak with the attendant who had initially checked us in. I asked if he could come to our room and help us figure out what we could do about the smell. When he came he said that the room was clean, however there was a brief smell of something he couldn't put his finger on coming from by the bed my mother slept on. I told him that our belongings were packed by her bed, and they smelled like water, soot, and burnt oil from the fire, and we were going to wash them as soon as possible. He told me not to worry and that housekeeping would come and clean everyday. He stressed that the situation would be handled, and the whole time he was very sweet to us, and for that I am grateful.

And so begins an agonizing week for us. The next few days we complied with the conditions of Mr. **. And daily housekeeping came in swept/mopped the floor, took our used towels, removed trash, and replaced linen. One day I decided to ask the cleaning ladies what products they used to clean our room. Of course they had no idea why I was asking, as it sounded like small talk. My eyes widened when Fabuloso and Mr. Clean where among the cleaning products named. Wow the same cleaning products I used. The same products Mr. ** told me not to use on his floor because he wanted housekeeping's chemicals used.

I wondered if Mr. ** thought that we were just nasty people because of the misfortunate state he met us in. I wanted to leave a note for him saying "News flash, we are not the creators of Mr. Clean and Fabuloso." Of course I didn't, and chose to instead write down every detail in my journal, which I am now sharing with you, the reader. I can't explain how hard it was to sleep at a place you've paid to be in, yet feel so unwanted. Everyday was like carrying the world on my shoulders. If kicked out, we would have nowhere to go. There aren't very many places that accept dogs. We had no family members that were willing to accept all three of us, and being that we had just escaped a fire, we refused to be separated.

I am a person that believes that a dog is a member of the family. They are the most loyal creatures I've ever encountered. I've had my dog since she was a very small puppy, and she had been through a fire too, so I wasn't going to give her up just to sleep on someone's floor. My mother has numerous health problems, and the day before our fire, she had just had surgery. And here I was at a place that was suppose to be a refuge for the time being, wondering if the owner was going to kick us out. With the coins donated to us, I went to the third floor of the establishment everyday washing and rewashing everything we had, trying to get the smell of burnt oil and mildew out of our clothing. I wish I could have thrown everything away, but they were all the belongings we had at the time. I had no problems keeping the room tidy, as my dog is trained to use potty pads.

I remember visiting the front desk speaking with the attendant that checked us in. I asked him if there were any handicap rooms available so that my mom could have the assistance she needed while in the restroom. However I was informed that both handicap rooms were out of order. During the days we waited for Mr. ** to check the room, I would take my Bible and go sit in the lobby. I fasted and prayed for God to touch this man's heart. I would sit and read scriptures to myself over and over again, in hopes that maybe my prayers alone would have the power to sustain us until our trial was over. I held my breath the next few days.

Finally the day came when Mr. ** was to inspect our room. It was a Tuesday, and I remember getting up early making sure everything was up to par, so that we could finally rest in peace. However the whole day passed and Mr ** refused to come into our room. Whenever we called the front desk he would say "I'll be there in a few minutes", and would never show up. When I went to the lobby to speak with him, his excuse for not coming was that he had other things to attend to in the building. He said that he couldn't leave the front desk unintended, and assured me that he would come to my room before the day was over. He never came.

I knew that he had just made up an excuse to not come. I assume that they were excuses because the front desk had been unintended numerous times. In fact there was a phone that had a note on it that read pick of phone for help. That phone sat right on the desk whenever someone wasn't standing there. At times when I would go read my Bible in the lobby, I would watch people pick up the phone, and wait a few minutes before receiving help. To me there was no reason this man could not take 2 minutes to inspect a room, except the fact that he may not have wanted to. We had complied with all of his demands, and he couldn't even have the decency to keep his word.

When evening came, and still no word from Mr. **, I decided to call the front desk once more. Mr. ** answered, and I asked if he was going to be able to come see the room today. He told me that he would send the attendant that checked us in. I stressed to him that we really needed an answer on rather or not we could stay. He said that he understood, and the attendant would be there before the night was over. The whole time in dealing with Mr. **, he always gave us the run around.

Later on that evening the attendant we initially dealt with came to our room and approved it. He said that it smelt fresh and that we had managed to get rid of the smell. He said that he would let Mr. ** know, and relay the message to us, on rather or not we would be able to pay for the extra week we needed. Days went by with no word, and instead of paying for an extra week the day it was due with Mr. **, I chose to pay a day early with the attendant that had been so kind to us. I didn't want to risk dealing with Mr. ** any more. When I was paying for our last week, I spoke with the attendant about how awful Mr. ** had made us feel. He told me that sometimes when people come to motels they damage property, and aren't clean. He said that though our case was different, Mr. ** treated us that way, because there were instances where they had to redo whole rooms because of people's carelessness.

The rest of our stay went without the threat of being kicked out, but saying the vibe had changed from refuge to uncomfortable would be an understatement. We continued to hear the occasional moaning of random lovers throughout the week, seasoned with barks and whining from other resident's dogs. We constantly felt as though we were under the radar. Whenever I would see Mr. ** in passing, he wouldn't speak or look at me. I want you, the reader to understand that at no time was Mr. ** disrespectful, violent, or unprofessional. He never raised his voice or threatened us in any way, other than wanting us to leave. However I must say that in my opinion he was all business and no heart. We never saw him smile, he had an extremely standoffish personality, and wasn't friendly.

When you are going through a situation as difficult as ours, you would be surprised at how much of an impact a simple smile would make. Again in my opinion, outside of seeing that Mr. ** was made of flesh and bone, emotionally he lacked the human characteristics of compassion, empathy, and love toward others. Outside of our case, I witnessed two occasions of his negative dealings with people. In one instance he was asking another resident to leave immediately, because they had forgotten to checkout at 11 am. The couple had been gone for the first part of the morning and was returning when they ran into Mr. **. I overheard them trying to repay to stay another night, at his refusal. On the second instance I was passing him in the hall, when he was speaking a little stern towards one of the housekeepers for forgetting something. Again never raising his voice, yet always having a serious, emotionless energy about him.

Though I share that bit of information with you all I must say that what I heard and saw was only from the outside looking in, and I can only speak candidly about my particular experience. If you are just passing through on business, or vacation, you should have no problem staying at this location. If you are someone in my case, I would urge you to find somewhere else to spend your money. Outside of quick rendezvous and overnight stays, this place should be passed up as long as Mr. ** is running it. With the amount of money we spent to stay at that motel a month and a half, we should have been able to rest without the fear of being put out on the streets. Things like smells can be fixed. When individuals are paying to stay in your establishment they deserve to be treated like humans and not trash that needs to be taken out.

If he would have had any compassion, he would have understood, that as fire victims every dime we had went into his establishment, Every pizza that was ordered, all the bottled water, cleaning supplies, money, and countless other things we received while staying there, were from people who had hearts for others in need. When we stayed there we had our own trash bags, soap, shampoo, and other necessities that motels already provide. If he would have talked to us about why the clothes were on the floor, and why the smell was there, he would have understood that we had been in an oil fire and our clothes were getting sorted for laundry. Knowing that you are staying in a place that you aren't wanted is enough to make anybody uneasy, so much that we decided to leave a day early once the opportunity presented itself.

As I stood by the front desk waiting for someone, Mr. ** came around the corner and asked what I needed. I told him that we were checking out, and he said okay I was free to just go. I asked if he could print me off a receipt of my stay, and he did so. While he was printing off my receipt I asked if we were welcome to come back in the future, just to see what he would say. He said that we could, but he would no longer offer extended stays, only overnights. Then he went on to say that he would be clearing out all of the pets before the weekend, because there was a problem with barking. He handed me my receipt, and I told him bye. That was it. No "Thank you for your business", good luck", nothing. He just went back to doing what he was doing before I interrupted him. When I left, I knew that if I had anything to say about it, he would never have my business again, not that I think he would mind.

Ever since leaving his establishment I would get a sad feeling when driving past it. I hated to even be on the same street as the building. It's like all the uneasiness I felt while staying there, would come back to me even though my ties with that place have long since been broken. I'm hoping that in writing this review, I will be able to leave everything negative that I experienced from their behind, while also preventing the same treatment from happening to someone else. I have to reiterate that my whole stay wasn't bad given the circumstances that brought me there. Again I ran into staff with beautiful heartwarming personalities. The cleaning ladies were awesome individuals, as well as the attendant who checked us in. He always remembered to treat us like human beings first, and customers second.

Mr. **. If you are reading this I want you to know that I forgive you for the way you treated my mother and I. I've prayed for you constantly since leaving your motel, and I wish nothing but the best for you and your family. I look at my experience as a lesson more than a situation in which I constantly had my feelings hurt. Because of you I will always remember to show kindness and love towards everyone I meet, especially the unfortunate. I'm not sure if what I'm saying means anything to you, or if it ever will, but just know that every word I've taken time to type is sincere. Farewell.

Though I write this review from a personal, opinionated yet honest standpoint, I understand that business tends to come first. This particular Motel 6 is a privately owned branch of the company. While reading over the policy for Motel 6 I saw that Mr. ** never violated any terms of my staying there. As a Motel 6 owner, you have the right to ask whoever you want to leave. You also have the right to ask dogs to be removed if you deem them disruptive. Although I understood that he didn't violate any policies, I still made it a point to document and report the way he treated us. I called customer service, explained our situation and opened up a case against him.

Rather or not it does anything, I still encourage anyone who has felt mistreated by an establishment owner to report it. We as consumers may not have many rights, but you do have a voice. There are power in numbers. Do not stand for cold unequal treatment. None of these businesses would exist without people like us using the services they provide. When more people come in town, prices go up, when there are less tourist prices go down. They depend on our business to thrive, so do not accept unfair treatment. We as consumers, and owners need each other point blank. List of things I noticed during my stay: 1. Side entrance to building, had a broken key lock, which meant anyone could enter. 2. The elevator door would stall before closing. 3. Strong stench of curry throughout the first floor.

We booked the Motel 6 Biloxi for a brief midweek getaway. The room was nice enough but lacking essentials such as a hairdryer and iron. We were kept awake all night by a family with unruly kids that ran up and down the hall the entire night. We received hang up calls from kids inside the hotel no less than 10 times during the night. No sleep whatsoever. Our room was never cleaned the following day and we had to request clean towels on our own. We finally decided to check out after one night. We spoke to Matt, the manager on duty. Informed him of the terrible night we had and he offered a refund of that night. He was very quick to take care of the problem.

I had to clean my own room, get my own towels, the room was infested with roaches and when I complained the clerk called me a ** and threatened to physically remove me from a building I was already leaving. When I saw the manager (who wasn't supposed to be on the premises) he denied he was the manager and disappeared. I will never ever recommend nor stay in Motel 6 again!

On July 16 I made a courtesy reservation at Motel 6 in Whitby, Ontario. When we got to the Motel we were informed that their systems were down and assured our room would be saved when we returned later that evening. When we were heading back I called to confirm and was told that our nonsmoking room was given away and all they had was smoking. We had our children so we were forced to try and find accommodations elsewhere but unfortunately there were no rooms in town, and we were forced to drive back to Ottawa, with our autistic child who is on a strict sleep regime. After 5 days and 2 emails I have not heard a thing back and consider this very poor business practice. I will personal go on every social media outlet and let them know that Motel 6 does not give a crap about its customers or their complaints. Don't stay at this motel, find a place that cares.

The bedspread were very old. There was hair and dirt on the bed. The bathroom smelled of cigarettes was a no smoking room, bathroom walls had yellow streaks down them, burn marks on sink. We were very disappointed in the place. I would never recommend anyone to stay there.

I tried to contact Motel 6 directly. I got a busy signal on the phone & my email bounced back to me stating their inbox was full. I have officially run out of patience. My mother in law booked us 4 nights at one of your Carlsbad Motel 6 locations. IT WAS AWFUL. She booked it through booking.com and I know she is trying to deal with them in regards to how bad our stay was but they've basically told her they can't do anything. So I wanted to bring our problems to you directly before leaving any angry reviews etc. I suffer from anxiety and severe sleep deprivation to the point where I have lost over half of my hair.

This trip was supposed to help me relax as I try to get healthy and it certainly did not. In fact, I lost a few chunks of hair during my stay which only adds to my anxiety. I do not believe in being mean for the sake of my frustration so I am hopeful that you can offer us some type of customer service solution. We did our best to make the most of a bad situation so our vacation was not ruined, but it was a rough start to our trip for sure.

After our long trip to the hotel, we got there and they said they couldn't check us in because when we paid online, it was just in case we didn't show up so we could be charged, but since we did show up they needed to run the card in person. There was a lot of confusion about it and it was frustrating. We ended up waiting outside in the parking lot with our 5 year old, for an hour while we waited on my father in law to show up and repay with his credit card.

Not sure if that is a typical process, but it was really inconvenient. I'm not sure what we would have done if they were not on vacation too. We arrived to check in about 6pm and didn't actually get to be in our room until after 9pm. After the long wait to get into our room, we started bringing up our bags. Right away the room smelled musty and weird. I noticed on the bed there were several white crusty spots on the larger bed. Gross! But a simple fix. We had housekeeping change the bedding for us.

I forgot to take a picture, but my husband found a black bra hanging up in the bathroom, not ours. Gross again! I could not find the smell at first. We used an air freshener and Lysol. The smell was not going away. I woke up 4 times in the middle of the night with an Asthma attack, it was horrible. If you've never woken up to an asthma attack before, well be glad! It is a scary feeling. It left me completely exhausted. The next morning I started looking everywhere to find what could be causing the smell. I found mold on the wall of the bathroom. We immediately left to target and got some Lysol Mold and Mildew cleaner. I didn't have much faith in the motel cleaning staff at this point and wanted to make sure it was really cleaned well so I knew we were all safe from breathing it in.

We were already told that there were no other rooms for us and we had already looked into checking out and staying somewhere else at this point. Comicon and summer vacation meant we were left with the option of either staying somewhere terrible, or driving home and paying all the money for vacation without the vacation. Two options NO ONE wants to have to decide on. My Daughter and I had to leave while my husband cleaned the room. He scrubbed the mold as well as all around the whole wall and floor. We sprayed any surface possible in the entire room with Lysol spray and left our door open for a while to air out. The staff was very friendly and they felt bad for us. I can appreciate that to a point, but, I didn't want pity. I wanted a clean relaxing room. We were told they were booked solid and only could offer us the business card of an offsite manager who would likely take 1-2 weeks to get back to us.

Our take away, it seemed like you all didn't feel the need to keep up with the rooms or take care of your customers, because most people were in and out in a night or two with no other options. I do not believe where we were cares at all about customer service. Every time we were in the lobby the staff was very friendly and kind, but couldn't do anything and there was always a line of people complaining about something.

We felt like we were on this beautiful vacation until we got to our room. Then it felt like we were slumming it in the ghetto. When a room charges $548 for 4 nights, you do not expect the filth we were stuck with. The beds were awful and uncomfortable, the drain was broken and at night bugs came crawling through the cracks in the door so we had to wedge towels around the door. We borrowed blankets from my mother in law as well as towels since we used ours to block out the bugs. Thankfully after our 4 days were up, we were heading to a beautiful resort (Grand Pacific Palisades) which made our vacation a fun and memorable one. Had we not been staying longer and this was our only time there, it would have been a vacation from hell.

I will include the pictures I took in our room from our time there. I feel like my mother in law paid a lot for us to stay there and it was definitely not a sanitary environment nor was it worth the high price she paid. It was what I would have expected from a $29.99 room. I know it is still a motel 6, but basic cleanliness is something I didn't expect to have to worry about. We did the best we could to make it work so our trip was not ruined. We are NOT happy customers. I don't plan to stay at any motel 6 ever again. Our friends and family were and are horrified as well. If there is anything you can do to make it up to us, we would sure appreciate it. Otherwise, we will pass on any future with your company. Thank you for your time.

We had been in our room for 4 days and room service had not been touched by 3 pm. I was being nice and stripped the bed and put all the linens by the door. When I pulled the sheets off there was blood and fecal matter on the mattress cover. I took my linens to the office, waited for her to get off the phone, told her what was going on. She proceeded to tell me we had not been there 4 days and that I was a ** and continued to use foul language to me. I never cursed at her directly until she did myself also... And then they only wanted to refund my fiance $42 when if you do the math we should have received $177.

There were 2 people in office when I went in. By the time I walked out of the office there were at least 5-7 men in there and one woman. And then their friends who they let live there were outside yelling and threatening me. Men were threatening a woman. I really really really hope there can be some reconciliation to this matter.

It was actually enough room for one bedroom but two beds were put in. One was up against the window and air conditioner. The other was by the bathroom door. If you sit on the foot of the bed you can't open the door.. That wasn't the worst. It smelled, had to buy a can of spray. There was a huge spider, no place to put your clothes, did have a few hangers but no drawers, no table, but of course there was no room for that.

Left and came back, the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking and outlet in the bathroom was not working.. Did request a room change and they gave me no problem. I asked if all the rooms were the same size and they were. Both TV's in both rooms was snowy and you couldn't watch certain channels. I guess there were some bad connection or something. It was a scary place. Loud outside. People actually living there had birds outside their room in cages. It wasn't a pleasant place. When they say Motel 6 we leave the light on, it won't be for me. I will never go back there. It is horrible to be in a tourist location.

On July 16, 2015 I stayed at the Motel 6 in Meridian, MS for one night. There were no lower level rooms available and I had no choice but to take a room upstairs. In pulling into the parking spot, I realized it was a handicapped spot. There was a Hispanic male sitting on the curb of the spot that was available and I stepped out of my car, explained that I needed to move to the spot. His leg were stretched out in, and proceeded to back my car up and park. Needless to say, the man did NOT even budge and try to move out of my way. Upon check-in, I had asked the front desk if there was a microwave in the room. The girl said "no, but there is one here by the vending machines."

The noise level in room 209 is unbearable. You hear every single vehicle going down the interstate. I got up the next morning, got my things together, and drove to the front office to use the microwave. I swear to you that the microwave did not have the element or the glass plate that sits on top of it. When I opened the door to it, the odor almost made me throw up. There was at least 1/2 inch of some type of fluid on the bottom, all sides, inside door and top of microwave. I immediately shut it before I threw up and just chalked it up to a bad experience.

After reading some of the other reviews, I will now say that Motel 6 will never see me again. On the trip to Houston, I had stayed at one in Jennings, LA with no problems. The one in Meridian is nothing short of disgusting. Granted, the room was just under $41, but I'd rather pay $30 or $40 more and feel like I'm clean when I walk out. Whoever owns/manages this place needs to find another career. Truly disgusting. The tip of the iceberg was the microwave. It never occurred to me to check it the night that I paid for the room. I took it for granted that it would be clean. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Honest to goodness, I wouldn't even put a cockroach in that thing. Filthy, filthy, filthy.

Motel 6 in Mechanicsburg, PA - I booked 2 rooms for the July 4 weekend. I am an AARP member. I read on the Motel 6 website that they have a later check out for AARP members. Anyway during our 3 day stay, not once did anyone come to clean the rooms or empty the trash. We had to walk to the cleaning cart that never made it to our rooms to get towels. The motel wasn't full and we were informed that it was recently renovated. We found a dog jerky treat on the floor in our room I would guess from the last guest that stayed there.

We were practically chased out of the room on Sunday Morning at 10:55 am. The man actually stood in front of our door till we left the room. I thought that was quite rude of him. We did complain to the front desk, but I don't think it mattered. I do believe the three people that worked there were related. They were supposedly the ones who clean the rooms and check people in and out. My family and I will never stay there again. It's a shame because it was right next to Cracker Barrel. When I asked to speak to the real manager she refused saying she would handle it. The housekeeping staff was friendly but the room had a faint smoke smell.

I checked into a room at the Motel 6 in Brinkley Arkansas and I went to the room and started to get comfy because the room looked OK. I got up to brush my teeth and saw a mosquito. I turned on all the light "3" of them and the room was infested with them. While standing there looking at these I saw a tiny round bug on the mirror. I promptly gathered my things and went to the front desk and told them about this infestation and they kinda looked at each other like oh crap they're back again.

I asked for a refund and the lady told me only her Manager could issue a refund and she said he might be in one day next week. I thought this real sucked but as soon as it posts I will contact the credit card company and let them fight it out with Motel 6. As for this motel chain is concerned they are dead to me and everyone I can tell this to. What's the sense of having a good price if you are running a third rate brothel and I apologize to all the brothels in the world for dragging them down to Motel 6 standards.

This company does not care about their employees whatsoever. Speaking from experience, my wife was a manager for the company. They transferred us from Venice, Florida to Destin, Florida to manage this place as they needed it so badly. However, road gas allowances and moving allowances, my wife was not notified about what she could and could not do. So the company did a review on her and fired her over a simple gas receipt - where she got gas for the U-Haul truck that they rented. But the company U-Haul gave her the truck two days early because the truck was not reserved, very kind of them, but the gas receipt does not match up with the day that the company has for the U-Haul truck and they don't care. They're claiming she stole gas when U-Haul had courtesy enough to let her take the truck and load it two days earlier, knowing that we had a lot to do in a short time.

However upon getting the truck, it needed fuel. My wife gassed it up with the company expenses as she thought she was doing right. And they are firing her because U-Haul gave her the truck two days earlier and they don't want to hear it. How's that for caring about people and employees? I would not rent a place here if it was the last place on earth, nor what I recommend anybody ever coming to work for this company.

They moved us 500 miles away from our hometown to fire my wife a short time later. And we don't have anywhere to go or any place to live as she was an on-site manager. This was our place to live and her job, and we have nowhere to go and no way to get there. Very nice of them to give us a seven day notice to get out of their property unfairly. Thank you very much, Motel 6 Venice - very lovely to do business with you. My family is now homeless due to you. Over I'm easily $88 gas receipt - that was for your move. I will take further action on our losses.

The room was not clean white powder all over the floor, it had not been swept or mopped. No coffee in our room, no bucket for ice no nothing. The TV didn't work there were no batteries in the remote. It was after 10 at night they wanted me to come and get batteries. We were in the last room the one farthest away from the office. They did send a fix it man. He was there about 30 minutes. We made reservations for two rooms at the Motel 6 in Waxahachie, TX, for the third night of our move from SW Utah to Houston. As soon as we entered the rooms we saw roaches crawling on the floors. They were also under rugs and between mattresses. While my wife started to gather our belongings, I went to the front desk and informed them that we had to leave, could not stay, as the rooms were infested with bugs. The front desk person didn't say anything. I asked if there was another Motel 6 around and he provided directions. I asked if that hotel was without bugs and he nodded yes. We left the roach-infested hotel, turning in our room keys and went to the other Motel 6.

3 weeks later, after finally getting settled in our new home, I noticed on our bank statement that we were still being charged for the two roach infested rooms. Even after calling the Motel 6 corporate office basically told me to pound salt. They offered to send a coupon for a one-night, one-room free stay but would not credit back the charge. They got our money for two rooms at their other location, but still charged us for two roach infested rooms for that same night. And we spent less than 5 minutes in those rooms, immediately seeing roaches all over the place. I didn't accept their coupon offer as I will never again stay at a Motel 6. Be careful and read the reviews. Many are dumps and bug infested. Absolutely the worst hotel I have stayed at in all of my 60 years. Stay away from Motel 6. So I thought after all the commercials on the radio, things have changed, so I looked this one up. The pics were real nice. So I booked for me and my son to have a cheap little vacation 'cause I don't make much.

The room was really nasty - holes in the sheets and the walls look like a blind person painted them...the tub had a black ring around it. Me and my son, 'cause of a lack of money and my check not hitting the bank 'til Friday, was going to just bear with it and make the best of it 'til BAM...someone ODs 4 doors down. So we had to leave and drive straight back home in Augusta, GA. And I was told I could only get one day refunded (and I was on in there for 4 hrs).

I will be seeing a lawyer to see my rights or you can just give me the whole 96 dollars back and I will let it go. Not only did I waste my money, but ruined my only vacation with my only son who is growing up fast. This will be posted to Facebook with your number and address if I do not get a reply. My disabled husband, adult son, large female dog and myself stayed in Room 111 at the Brattleboro VT Motel 6 on Sunday June 30, 2015. We arrived around 9 PM. At first entrance to our room, there was a very strong gagging smoky smell (non-smoking motel); the door did not lock properly and there was a pee spray from a male dog on the wall near the door. I requested a change of room but was told there were none available on the first floor. I was provided a can of room spray to use and return immediately. The smoke alarm was going off and reception gave ME a new battery to install in the alarm. Our son stood on the bed and replaced the battery. A young male employee arrived an hour later to check on the smoke alarm; he stood in the doorway but did nothing as all was quiet then. The acrid smoke smell was in all the furnishings and made it difficult for us to breathe.

My husband is a heart patient and the smoke aggravated his congestion. Our son had the bed nearest the window; in order to breathe, he had to have the window wide open the whole time. Between 2 AM & 3 AM the smoke alarm started back up and no matter how much fussing, it would not stop chirping. My husband had to go out to our vehicle to try to get some sleep. By 5 AM I was so grumpy from lack of sleep (I am the driver and had an 8 hour trip ahead of me) that I went back to the office and was finally given the handicap room with 1 bed, 2 doors down from ours. My husband and I got a couple hours of smoke free sleep!

At checkout I commented that I should be given a refund for the horrible situation, but I was not. Each time I went back to the office, there was a new person on the desk, unaware of the situation. The following day I drove us home. LESS than 48 hours later my husband went to the Emergency Room at the Hospital with congestive heart failure.

We have stayed at the Brattleboro VT Motel 6 several times in the past with no complaints and a friendly helpful staff. This time was anything but. I feel I should be given a full or partial refund since a non-smoking motel should not have such an acrid smoky smell with a smoke alarm constantly going off which disturbs any chance of sleep.

I arrived around midnight and was very tired. My check-in was a challenging effort. Due to the late hour I needed to use the small window rather than the lobby. A soft-spoken woman processed me in. It was very difficult for me to hear her as there were refrigerated vending machines and a very noisy air conditioner unit in the vestibule on my side of the window. I kept asking the woman to repeat herself. At one point I told her that I was sorry I couldn't hear her, but there was so much noise in the vestibule. She acted unconcerned and in fact walked away from the window to do things while checking me in on more than one occasion. This made it absolutely impossible for me to hear her.

I chose to make the most of the bad situation because of the late hour and being so tired. I just went along with the routine that I would expect for checking into a motel without really hearing any of the comments or direction from the unengaged young woman behind the window. Little did I know that this experience would be the most positive of the entire stay!!!

I will list the conditions that I encountered: The room door was stuck to the point that I had to hit it with my shoulder to get the door open. The PTAC (AC unit) did not have a temp adjustment knob so I was not able to set a comfort level. The PTAC discharge into the room was full of dirt... The remote for the TV did not function. I did get the set turned on at the set, but there was virtually no reception worthy of watching and consequently useless. The room was dirty and the bedspread was stained in several spots and general dirty. There were light fixtures with missing light bulbs, consequently the room was dimly light. (Perhaps to help hid the fact that the room was dirty?) No phone in the room to call the front desk. There was NO hot water at all. I let the faucet run for about 15 minutes and nothing but cold water. This was again the case in the morning.

There was black mildew and mold in the seams of the fiberglass shower enclosure. The shower head was all limed and calciumed up, yielding a poor spray. The sink was a semi-circular bowl and when you turned on the faucet all the water went right up the side of the bowl all over the front me. The smoke detector had been removed. When I walked from the shower to the bed, the bottom of my feet were black with dirt and I had to wash them with a cloth before getting into bed.

The pool was drained and had things in the bottom of the empty pool. (This was not a huge concern as I didn't plan to use the pool, but was an amenity that I was paying for that was unavailable).

The final and most unacceptable event happened when I checked out. I ask for the manager and this younger woman identified herself as the Assistant Manager and wanted to know how she could help me. I told her that this motel experience was the most unacceptable motel experience of my entire life. And I proceeded to tell her some of the unacceptable things I had found in the room. I finished my summary with "you should be ashamed to charge $100 a night for a room like that." She offered no apology, excuse or remedy for this very unhappy customer. In fact, a male person who I can only assume was a co-worker (under her direction is she really was the Assistant Manager) spoke up and said, "** you **."

I told them both that I would be contacting Motel 6 Corporate Headquarters to report their unacceptable behavior and comments. I left without further interaction. Any Assistant Manager and employee who would be a part in treating a paying customer like this should not be an employee. I immediately got on my cell phone to the Customer service number on the Motel 6 website. I was on hold for 45 minutes and the call was dropped. This is unacceptable also and perhaps a consideration of why my experience was as it was. Management does not seem to be modeling good customer service behavior, so what is to be expected of employees?

While at DFW airport, I booked on Expedia Motel 6 @ 7800 Heathrow Drive (Irving, Tx). I called the hotel to see where I needed to catch the shuttle. The young lady on the phone was very detailed, and I wrote down her instructions. She told me to go to E35 "ground level" (I explained to her I was at baggage claim E34) I did exactly what she said. After about 45min of waiting on the van that says "Hotel connections" my husband called & someone told him to go to terminal A1 OR C1. Well, not being from TX I had no idea what to do, this airport has several construction areas.

So, I called the hotel about 5 times no answer, I wanted to speak to a manager. Hoping the manager could give us the exact location to be so we could catch the shuttle. I was put on hold for about 5 minutes before calling back and waiting another 2 minutes for the manager. I explained to him all I wanted to do was find the shuttle so I could go check in, at this point It was going in 1 hour and 10 min of waiting or trying to find the shuttle pickup. I heard the manager ask someone else where to go catch the shuttle he told me D1 or D40. I asked "could the driver just come where we are?". He said "if you want I can cancel the reservations", stunned I said "sir I'm tired and I'm just trying to get to your hotel".

I knew if he cancelled the reservations that my money would be tied up through Expedia for 3 to7 days (I did regret making that reservations through Expedia at this time). So he repeated for me to go to D1 or D40. I got off the phone and we took about 10 more minutes trying to figure out how to get to the pickup location. My husband found out we had to take a terminal van to the correct letter terminal. Well going to terminal D in a van was about a 7 to 9 minute ride. HUGE airport. Walking was out of the question.

Once we arrived at the correct terminal we waited there about 15 to 25 min, now we are going on 2 hours of waiting for a shuttle bus to the hotel. I called back to the hotel to see if they could radio the driver to let him know we are waiting. Which they did do. Once in the van we rode to another terminal to pick up a couple who was sitting in clear view as the van pulled up. The driver never got out of the van to address the couple, so we are sitting for about 5 minutes and my husband asked "why are we waiting?" He said "I'm waiting on a couple". So my husband starts to explain that we are tired, it's been 2 hours almost that we've been waiting. The driver says "I go where they tell me to go".

Something is mentioned over the radio and the driver gets out of the van to address the couple that has been sitting there all along. The couple told us the driver said "didn't you see my sign?" They explained to us that's not what they are used to, the driver never got out the van. So we leave and circle back around the airport which was a good 6 minute ride and guess where we end up???? At E35... Where we were originally waiting for 45 minutes, where an additional 3 people were picked up.

I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER MOTEL 6 or BOOK THROUGH EXPEDIA AGAIN. The room was comfortable, and clean. I have nothing bad to say about the room. However, when I went to check out, the front desk clerk told me I have to print my receipt from Expedia. I have never heard that. Overall I didn't like how the manager handle the phone call, nor did I agree with no one really being able to give me a precise location to wait for the shuttle upon my first time calling. I've learned you get what you pay for, I would have paid more for better service. While waiting at the airport I saw several Westin, Embassy Suites, Sheraton, Holiday Inn etc, shuttles that were timely, professional and neat.

I did let the front desk know, because she called within 15 minutes of us being there. All she said was something about their remodeling done by August. That was going to make my stay more comfortable.

I didn't ask if I could get a refund because when she asked about my stay she should've offered to refund my stay, but she didn't. She just came up with "I'm sorry". Very disgusted by this location. I didn't leave because I didn't want to be dragging my grand kids around trying to find a Motel/Hotel. To top it off, I had to pay $2.99 for internet service. That totaling my bill to $62.78...while not only had to pay for it, but internet was not a stable connect...

When we got there, there was no one at the front desk and no one answered the phone. We sat there for 25 minutes with one customer coming in with us and leaving. I even did a walk through to see if perhaps the clerk was helping a customer with their room but saw nothing but a big bag of trash (50-gallon bag) sitting in the hallway.

So we go to the Motel 6 just down the road, find out from the clerk there that they've been having problems at the other location. So she cancels a non-guarantee room and puts us in there and charges for only one person and says she's giving us a military discount (she didn't, I checked the receipt, but I'm glad for that as we're not military and she shouldn't be handing out that discount willy-nilly to appease rightfully pissed customers). Then when we got to the room it smelled--couldn't place the smell it was throughout the room, and light and vague but definitely present. And oh god the beds, they were so freaking old that the springs in them would stick then pop back out after you moved, it felt like being punched all night. I understand that the nightly prices go up past $108.99, which isn't right. Your motel doesn't offer any food, or internet like other motels/hotels. Many of your guests park on the handicap spaces, and during the winter the handicap area should be free of snow. There should be handicap ramps for all curbs. There should be part of your policy, no drinking, & no drugs. When any guests stay at your motel all your employees should always smile. All the employees should know how to remove any stain, and vacuum the beds on both sides. When something happens, and the guests always pays. You should give the guests credit. But you don't..

Easy on the budget, hard on your back. If you're willing to make sacrifices like no breakfast, shampoo, soap the width of a credit card, hard lumpy bed, flat pillows, dirty rooms and bathrooms, left over items under the bed from previous occupants, then it's a great place to stay.

TV was bad, snowy picture, couldn't get all the channels. This was the second time we stayed at Motel 6. I will tell you it will be our last and I will post this on facebook and everywhere else I can.

I wrote a review yesterday when I was denied the rate that I was quoted when I was paying for the room. Since then, the general manager, **, has since reviewed the reservation and although the staff member was not supposed to block off the reservation with a special rate, she did and because of that, he advised that he has to honor that and since charged me the rate I was quoted. I am very happy with the result and would like to make sure that you know this and that the problem has now been resolved. Many thanks for your website. Take care.

    Original Review: June 15, 2015

I booked the room with Motel 6 May 25, 2015 at 7:50 p.m. with **. She confirmed the senior rate at $89.99 per night from June 12 - June 19 inclusive. Reservation number is **. When we arrived (very late) on June 12, I checked with the fellow at the desk (very pleasant fellow) who confirmed to me to just pay for 4 days if I wanted to and I could square up with them in the next couple of days. When I went to pay for the remaining leg of our stay, a smart ** East Indian boy named ** told me the price was $189.99. I then was passed on to the manager who was at home ** who told his boy employee that if I didn't like it to leave. Please let me know if there is anything I can do about this.

Dirty towels left in room for the next guest. They were not washed. Half of the rooms reserved only had one bed per room. Most of the bus of 32 were men. Only 7 females. Air conditioning units in some rooms did not work. The temperature was 93 degrees for two days. One toilet was broken for two days. Carpets in majority of areas were not vacuumed. Pet friendly yes, clumps of white dog hair covered north landing and steps between floors two and three. Entry light to room had no fixture just wires hanging. Towel rack hanging by one nail, bottom 2" nail hanging free.

NO HOT water from June 10th early evening until June 11th at 10 00 p.m. No extra pillows for a roll away bed for a member of our bus. "We don't have any extra pillows." 1/4 of the elderly men were housed on the third floor. Most used canes to walk. No elevator for use. Ice machine did not function on first floor. "Use ice machine on second floor." Soda in cooler expiration dates of February 2014. Owner was there on Tuesday night when we checked in. Never seen her again. She must have been across the street at the upscale hotel she owned. I'm writing this on behalf of five members of our group. We could have stayed on the bus for the non existent service we didn't receive. My opinion that building should be shut down. Our stay was in Sedalia Missouri.

I booked a room thru Booking.com for Pocatello Idaho on June 12th. I was given room 127. Upon opening the door I could tell the floor had not been cleaned, so I then checked the beds which neither bed had been changed. Upon further inspection I found the phone to be filthy, ice tub very dirty, shower curtain stained and still wet from the previous guest, hair all over the shower. The manager (at least I think that's who it was) came and changed the bedding although left the dirty bedspreads on the bed put a new ice tub in and changed out the shower curtain. To me this is unacceptable. As a company someone should come to this location and show them what a clean room is.

So I try to use the room telephone and that wasn't working or on. Thank God we have cells. So we both went to complain and nothing happened... I also encountered a bedbug sucking my blood. Something has to give ASAP. We been here since June 1, 2015 and we paid up to June 8, 2015 so hopefully we can be compensated.

We tried to use the wifi to contact some friends we were trying to contact in Phoenix and check our bank balances. Could not because you had to have a prepaid visa card to purchase minutes for the wifi. What!!! With as exhausted that we were, we would have to get dressed, go find a place that had prepaid cards just to access the internet and in a not-too-safe area of town on top of that??? Motel 6 may think they are saving money, but they will lose customers and business if they keep skimming off the top.

You only get about 20 channels on the TV - and one of them is a Spanish - speaking channel. Extremely noisy - you'll love it if you're a fan of fiestas until 1 A.M. There were also stains all over the bed and then the worst part is that after extensive searching I found a large bed bug on the bed that my oldest son was laying on. We immediately packed our things and left. I told the office and they gave me a refund. I also called corporate and they had an investigation done which they contacted me to tell me that their investigation came back positive for bed bug activity in that room. There was maltreatment by a latino housekeeping male, of which I've got a witness that he has a bad attitude. I complained to corporate, and heard six times "Oh, we don't do things that way". And was told I would be called back by corporate the next day. It did not happen that way. The ** female manager decided to side with the offender, because she believes that I am "inebriated" all the time. Yes, I do drink beer. I do not drive when I test over .08 with my own breath tester. I am a responsible user of my preferred medication, beer. I have never been inebriated here, just medicated. I was booked and paid up to 5/12/2015 due to having being evicted from my apartment due to a fire by the management there, who should have transferred me to an apartment that they were advertising was available there, as per the lease agreement.

This was the most appropriate location to temporally be housed pending a successful search for an apartment, which I have been turned down at one. The manager is a tee totaler, and a tee totaler is sensitive to so much as one beer. This is the basis of her siding with the minimum wage latino, instead of an advance paid up customer. Because of the event with the latino male, she came up with rules and regulations that seemed oppressive. I asked for a reasonable accommodation under the Americans With Disabilities Act, and she did not respect that. I was told that I would be able to stay through 5/13/2015 which was necessitated due to the fact that my direct deposit would not occur until then, and I was exhausted of resources.

The new rules arbitrarily imposed then were that I could not walk my dog shirtless, I could not go bare foot outside (and there is a pool just three doors down from me, not equipped with a dressing room), I could not sit in a chair, in my paid for room, in exterior shorts, shirtless, with the door open to enjoy the fresh spring air. I felt that I was being unfairly treated. But being transplanted from another state, I tried to emerge from a state of ignorance of the laws of the state of Tennessee. I could not find the laws of the state of Tennessee with respect to a "dress code" at a public accommodating. So I called the police department for advisement. They will not do that over the phone. So a 1 Blue had to come and speak with me.

I was advised that I am fully in my rights, so long as I am not exposing genitalia (of which I have never, ever done) to be dressed as I choose, unless the facility has a "Rules and Regulations" in document form to be available to the customer. I was also advised to go ask if they had such. So, I go to the night window, as I was banned from the lobby. I was told that they did not have such. Later, I was visited by 4 Blues and questioned. Long story short, they left, and I remained. This was 5/11/2015. The next day the manager arbitrarily revoked my paid up stay. I had to scurry out to somewhere else ASAP! She did not even care that could really mean that I would be standing out in the rain! Suits are in the works.

Motel 6 Findlay, OH - I made my reservations a month in advance online so there was no problem there. The program occurred once I checked in to this dump. I came to town for graduation weekend for my daughter from Bowling Green University upon arrival I pulled into the parking lot. In the parking I see a Loveseat and several chairs set out away from the building in a circle like this easy where you came to smoke. As I parked my car I look around and saw possibly college students sitting in the window of the ground floor rooms. This person had their back to the room and feet on the ground outside. As I continue to look around I observed several portable charcoal B.B.Q's knocked over and laying in the gravel outside the room a car missing its licence plates and bicycles chained to anything solid.

At check in presented my military I.D. in order to get the military discount and did receive it no problem. The clerk simply told me the price and room had to ask twice for directions to the room. As I walked down the hall, the building smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Upon arrival into the room I observed two beds neatly made with very well worn bedspreads. I turned on the air conditioning... it worked although very loud. Next I attempted to turn the television on, looked around and found the remote or should I say what was left of the remote. The remote was on the table a small black universal remote held together by scotch tape (I have a feeling that it had been tossed around and hit the floor or the wall a few times). I attempted to turn the television on and attempted to adjust the volume so I could hear the television over the loud air conditioning with the remote.

The volume went up slightly so I attempted to adjust the volume on the television. It raised the volume up approximately a quarter of the way and stopped. No matter what I did I could not adjust the volume of the television loud enough to hear the TV over the a/c. When I checked into my room I observed a nice small refrigerator and a microwave oven. I opened the refrigerator to place some items in, it was not very cold, in fact it was far from cold. I looked inside with the theory that maybe the temperature was turned up to save energy. No thermostat inside looked on the back. Yes there was a thermostat only one problem it didn't work.

Next I started turning on lights the two back by the bed worked the one by the mirror did not. The room had obviously been painted at least once as you could see almost as much paint on the wood trim of the mirror and other pieces of furniture as was on the wall. The carpet was a lovely shade of green with what I suspect was black from someone's oily work boots. House cleaning did make the bed and vacuum the room, did not worry about the edges just the center. Time for a shower, apparently they had a problem in the ceiling as you could see an attempted patch job in the ceiling drywall trying to add texture must be coming later. The same person who walked into the room with the black substance on their shoes also climbed into the bathtub, a feeble attempt may have been made to clean it up. The tub surround showed signs of mold and mildew from moisture behind the tub.

Overall I got a cheap place for a cheap price. I suspect that this place is party central when the college is in session. I am happy that it was just me and not me and my wife. She would not of been so patient. Suggestion, if Motel 6 is renovating their motels invest some money in this building or level it for parking for one the restaurant/bar/ fast food chains in the area. I will definitely think twice before I stay at a Motel 6 again in the near future.

We stayed at motel 6 in Anderson. In the middle of the night called office as upstairs were pounding their feet on the floor non-stop. Nothing was done. Second night was the same. We never got any sleep. The next morning went to office for a plunger, No one there. Another also waiting said she has been waiting a couple hours. Check back later, still no one in office. We called office and manager said maid would bring us a plunger. After 4 hours still no plunger. Went to office again. Manager said "you still waiting," I said yes. Manager said "why don't I just move you to a new room. Then you won't have noisy people above you and we will take care of toilet."

I asked the manager if room was available for another week. He said yes. I asked "do we get it for same rate" and he said yes. Came in later to pay for room for next week, another guy in office and charged me $200 more than what manager said. 2 days later maid knock on our door. She asked us about leaving, we showed her the receipt. A little while later phone rang. The manager charging us $100 cuz we left toilet plugged and they wanted us out. We told them we asked for plunger and it was manager's idea for us to move to a new room. This is wrong. We tried to plunge the toilet. I don't think we should had to pay $100 cuz they wouldn't give us a plunger.

When I was granted them I choose Motel 6 for my stay. Unfortunately on April 3rd I was given a pass and permission by paying for my ride to come on the premises, not knowing the next morning I would be refused to extend my stay based on who my ride was. I was in compliance with the rules and regulations there so what happened? I feel taken advantage of, robbed and very disrespected. We stayed at the Motel 6 close to Katy, TX. Late check-in. Ask for 1st floor room prior to check-in. We have a 6-month-old puppy (he travels everywhere we go). This year alone, we have gone to OKC from KY, KY to CA. And KY to Katy, TX. Most of the time staying at Motel 6, always asking for ground floor, always getting it if at all possible. This time we were assured we would have a ground floor but upon learning about our dog, told we would have to be on the third floor. I put up with small bed - not very comfortable - and strip down rooms because of the ease of finding a Motel 6 and the dog friendliness. But if I can't count on you, I will have to stay somewhere else. We travel for our business and spend 1/2 year in hotel/motels. Disappointed. P.S. If it hadn't been so late, we would have made a different decision.

Housekeeping didn't take out the trash and when I called to ask questions about the trash being removed I was told that it can't be taken out until the next day. Nothing was done to make my stay better. This motel needs to be upgraded badly. I had no response from management team at all. My biggest issue though is that they charged me twice and even after showing them my bank statement showing the double charge, I still have yet to get a refund. To add injury to insult, I called and was told the manager would call me back, of course you guessed it, she didn't. I asked for Corporate number and was given the 1800 Motel 6 reservation number. This is about the Motel-hell 6 on 6172 Commercial Way in Springhill FL 35606. 352-596-2007. I booked online 3/21/15 at 11 am for a 3 pm check in. We arrived at 2:15 just to check-in. I was told by ** the mgr that the room I booked wasn't available. I told him it showed 2, he said, "Well the system has been making mistakes." I told him I'll take whatever's available, he said I needed to call the number I booked with since he doesn't have the capability to change it. As I went thru that 20 min ordeal the CSR on the line said he can - he just doesn't want to. Okay, so I finally got that mess completed. As I was waiting to get another room another customer was trying to book. ** told him what was available and ironically it was the same room I was just told wasn't available??? He got so frustrated with the run around he left.

I told **, "Wait a minute. You told me the king size wasn't available," he said "It is - with a fridge." I said, "Why couldn't you of gave me that one?" He said, "It's $5.00 more," I said, "Couldn't I give you the difference?" "No you have cancel then rebook." Finally we got a miserable room! In all my years of traveling for business I've never been in a hotel that doesn't have a coffee pot, then they only give you 2 - yes 2 - towels. There were 3, my husband, myself and our 2 year old son. The reason they only give you 2, as I found on a card in the room said it's because they're eco friendly?? I don't know about anyone else but I won't dry my face in the morning with the towel that I dried my ass with the night before.

They don't offer any type of shampoo and 1 little sliver of soap. So after a trip to Dollar General for items just to shower with, we turned the sheets down only to find some sort of skid marks. I asked for clean ones and was told housekeeping was closed?? I guess eco-friendly means they don't wash the sheets either. So we flipped and turned them over, then realized the fridge we paid $5.00 extra for didn't work nor did the telephone, and there's no alarm clock either. When my husband went to get ice, there was an out of order sign on it. Also the pillows are paper thin. I'm more so aggravated with myself for not checking the reviews. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had, please save your money. I should of threw $110.00 out the window and slept in the car at least I wouldn't of had a bug crawl on me like I found in the bathroom.

I was then switched yet once again to a room where it, up to this point, if fully functional. I stayed there 4 nights and in addition to the rooms being switched often I got no cleaning service one day, and got $250 dollars taken from my room. When I addressed the management about the theft they only replied "we can't do anything about that." No sympathy, attempt to rectify it, nothing.

After we took showers and got our 1-yo son to sleep we go to get in bed for the first time - upon pulling down the sheets and blanket - we discover blood all over the bedding. I go to the desk to complain and was told they're sorry this happen the other day too and was handed a new set of bedding and had to change the bedding and put the new stuff on myself. We wanted to leave but didn't wanna drag a 1-yo out in 5-degree weather so we stuck it out and were informed the manager would be in tomorrow. So the next day we leave for a trip we had scheduled in the area we return around 3 pm as we were told the manager would be there and he wasn't upon leaving this motel 6.

We get pulled over and our car surrounded by cops searched and our car ripped apart and they found nothing of course then the police inform us the reason being is because we just left a well known drug hotel. Well as if bloody sheets weren't bad enough. So now 2 days later we finally talk to a manager and he tells us that it's not his problem and he will not give a refund. Then we call corporate and they tell us there is nothing they can do, call the manager back. So we call the manager back and he says "Now that you called corporate on me I'm really not giving you anything."

So really wtf kind of company is this? I wouldn't stay here again if they gave me a month free - this place is a joke and a brand new building for drugs to be sold while they watch it all happen. This is not the kind of place you wanna stay at not even for 10 bucks a night. It would be no surprise to me if you found a dirty needle in the room because apparently the manager is ok with the drugs as long as he has people in the rooms.

I stayed here for thirteen days, paying well over seven hundred dollars for myself and my service dog, Charlie to stay in this so-called "pet-friendly" motel. I quickly learned that Motel 6 is anything BUT pet-friendly and for that matter, not so "people-friendly" either when I arrived back to the motel one day to find a notice taped to my door from the Foothills Animal Shelter, stating that my service dog was taken by animal control officers and impounded at the local animal shelter. Apparently a pipe burst in the building that I was staying in and because "they" needed "immediate access" to my room while I wasn't there, they took it upon themselves to immediately come to the conclusion that I abandoned Charlie there. Also, all of my belongings in the room was gone. My key card didn't work so I couldn't even get in.

I immediately go to the animal shelter to claim my dog and am told that she is under "police custody" and that I would have to go to the police department for permission to get her back. This is even after informing them that she is a service animal, a seizure alert dog. The young man working behind the counter at the shelter basically tells me that I'm out of luck, so I leave the shelter empty-handed. To sum up my experience: I choose Motel 6 on accounts that they are "pet-friendly" while traveling with my beloved service dog. Motel 6 floods my room, damages all my belongings in said room, calls animal control on my service dog, gets her impounded.

And now I am unable to get her back unless I go "have a talk with" police officers and face possible criminal charges for "cruel and inhumane treatment" of my dog (because these ignorant employees at Motel 6 enters my room without notifying me) and moves all my belongings out, and impounds my dog to Animal Control without even attempting to contact me and fill me in on the state of my room and the fact that my dog is about to be taken away.

Since when is it okay for a motel to enter a customer's room without permission and/or prior notification, move out all the customer's belongings, and call animal control on the customer's pet/service dog without them even attempting to contact the customer first? Would they take away a blind person's seeing eye dog? I have already filed a complaint with the Department of Justice about this motel's disgusting violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and am currently consulting with a lawyer about filing a civil lawsuit against Motel 6.

After temporarily moving from CA to FL I spent a lot of nights and money at the motel 6 on Apalachee Parkway in Downtown Tallahassee. Over months I developed a naive, false belief in the security, security of the property. At times I had to check out until a friend finished their workday, and dropped off money for the room. On Monday 2/16/15 at 4:00pm I foolishly left 3 large suitcases and a small duffle upstairs near the room while I went down to wait. I took my wallet, phone charger out of the duffel and (thank goodness) carried them in my jacket. When my friend finally came about an hour later, I paid, got the key and we headed upstairs. I was horrified, angry, shocked to find my small duffel was gone.

I want to be clear, I understand and know that leaving my bags there was obviously not a safe thing to do. The next morning I went into the manager's office and politely requested that he look at the camera for the staircase that was in the immediate area of my luggage. There are no cameras on the 2nd floor. However, I was hoping maybe it would show someone possibly leaving down the stairs with my bright pink duffel in their hands. He got an ugly defensive attitude, pretty much said it was my own fault and said he wouldn't look at anything unless the police ordered him to!

After the thousands of dollars I put into this business, I expected a little more compassion, respect. I already felt incredibly dumb, guilty, violated. Instead of this "person" showing a little common decency and respect. He talked down to me, and dismissed me. They'd rather sit on their butts, protect criminals than show a little human compassion to guests who put a lot of money into their pockets! A simple "I'm sorry that happened. There isn't anything I can do unless..." would have been a welcome and appreciated response. Instead this jackass kicked me when I was down and amplified the situation. By the way 3 or 4 of the overhead automatic lights were out for at least 3 nights. Since there's no camera upstairs, seems the least they could do is keep the lights maintained!

I stayed with a friend at Motel 6 and locked my purse, clothes, and other valuables in the room during our one night stay and they would not allow me access because my ID was locked in the room. I tried calling and leaving messages about getting my stuff but the staff was not trying to help at all and it's been two weeks and still unable to get my things. I'm beyond upset. Some of the items were irreplaceable.

Unfortunately for me I did NOT read the reviews before booking. This was the worst motel I have ever been in. I would give it a minus -5 star due to the fact that we only had 1 towel and 1 wash rag for 2 people, the mattress was dilapidated and the bed slept like a BAD sofa bed, the shower went from scalding hot to freezing cold, the people in the rooms around were up all night talking loud banging things and slamming doors.

The IDIOTS that rated this a 3-5 star must have come from 3rd world countries and slept on dirt floors and had no running water. This motel is 100% overrated and I would NOT RECOMMEND IT for a dog to stay in it. While I was making my complaints known 3 other unfortunate people were also complaining about their rooms, such as, "My bathtub is moldy," "I have no towels," "My shower does not work," "TV's not working," "Toilet don't work", "Heater not working," and like us, no one had any soap in their bathrooms. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Not enough water pressure to shower. Had to have heat on HIGH all time and extra blanket at night to stay warm. Room was not cleaned every day. Some days, had to call or go get towel and wash rags. One night, no hot water.

Stayed the night but at check in was a little disappointed. Was on the 2nd floor. Had asked to be moved to the 1st floor since I was disabled and had my dogs with me but they said since I booked it online I can't switch rooms. The bed was a thin mattress on a piece of wood. The refrigerator didn't work. Will definitely not be back or recommend.
