Got good settlements and things were rolling then was randomly sued by a creditor. I had been in a structured settlement through FDR... Things went south and have been unable to get any answer for 6 months and still in a lawsuit over account I have in good standing with Freedom and making payments on for over a year.

I have been with FDR for about 1 year and am very happy that I contacted them. They have lifted a lot off my shoulders and continue to help. I also would recommend enrolling in the NLG with the lawyers. I was served a summons and the took care of it without any hassle. NLG are there to help and it is worth the extra fee! I have 2 accounts remaining on my FDR program. I have found out today that in the 32 months that I've been enrolled, NO ONE has made contact with one of the remaining creditors... EVER!! And to add insult to it...the account has been sent to the "Legal" Dept. of the creditor so...it looks like I am now looking at being SUED! I trusted FDR that they would manage my accounts but they have lied to me over & over. I had to do my OWN investigating into my accounts. FDR lies and deceives its customers.

The representative I worked with made me consolidate 2 debts that my husband was paying for so that I would have enough of a balance for the FDR program to be approved. I reluctantly agreed to this. I recently was sued by one of my larger debtors and ended up having to settle for the full amount. I had to pay extra fees to NLLG, the corresponding legal group and then FDR pretty much wipes out my account with their 23% fees. So now I have essentially nothing left in my account for them to work with my other 3 debtors and have to build this back again, but with 50% less funds each month as that will be going to the debtor that sued me. I wish the rep were more clear on FDR's fees and how that affects the accounts because I would have never signed up for this program if I knew the full extent. The customer service never fully answers my questions. I cannot recommend this program.

I trust the process in the fact that debt relief is necessary. I have allowed myself to be so far in debt that I see no way out without some help. Not really sure that this is the only remedy, but besides filing for bankruptcy, I don't see any other way and still be able to pay off the balance of these bills. The amount of the interest is so outrageous it seems that I will never get out of debt unless I pay it all off all at once.

I was contacted soon after I requested information for a real person via email. We made an appointment to discuss matters a few days later. He emailed me a few minutes after the appointment time, apologizing for being late and asked if he could still call. I had actually forgotten about the appointment. After a brief visit and explanation, I asked several questions about how it all works. He made me feel like I was asking the right questions, and patiently answered them all!

Working with NLLG portion on a pending settlement - When I called the support line to talk about the necessary change needed to making my deposit amount, the representative was more than willing to check the file and then sent me an email to forward on to NLLG for their confirmation that all had been completed by me.

The customer service provided by my agent was excellent. Very sincere, answered any question that I had, did not rush me to make my decision, explained everything thoroughly and all the time spoke in a manner which felt like they were intending to help me, not use my situation for their business gain. After the death of my husband, I had considerable debt and was falling behind. My children suggested a consolidated loan. Your company was the first I looked at and I called to see how it worked. Paris ** (?) was very clear and helpful and I signed up. I was able to stop worrying about paying the eight credit cards and had a once a month payment taken from my bank account. This was less than the individual payments. Paris guided me through the initial paperwork (no big deal) and explained how I could follow the account and payments online. Communications with your company were consistent and clear. Now, after almost five years, I am debt free (and ulcer free). I can recommend your services without reservation.

I've been making my monthly payments and nothing has happened. I've turned over the law firms and collections and I see nothing has been done with my accounts. I have a balance of $2400.00 and nothing. Also, I have taken care of making payment arrangements with 3 of my creditors to start making monthly payments. If you want answers you have to call and make sure you get the person's name you are talking to. I had two representatives that didn’t do their job thoroughly and couldn’t give me direct answers. Then all of a sudden I got a representative that said all the right things and did exactly what should had been done months prior! Know what you are getting into and read everything! I signed up with Freedom back in June of 2017. After 2 months my first debt was resolved. Ok that's good but by November they hadn't solved any more debts and we had paid over $900 to them. When I called to find out what was going on they said there were fees, that's understandable, but by my calculations they paid a debt for $287. So that means the remaining money went to fees. They charge you for calling in the payment for the debt, they charge you to send the debt collectors a check and then whatever other fees they charge. Which by the way if you ask what other fees there are they can't tell you. To make matters even more worse the company they settled with got another collection company to try to get the other half of the debt from me. I called Freedom to tell them that and they told me that I needed to figure that out on my own because that wasn't their problem.
I finally cancelled with them and only got refunded $58. They are scam artists and I wouldn't wish for anyone to use that company. They sweet talk you into thinking it's a good deal and also when you tell them you would rather not discuss how you got so far into debt they criticize you until you tell them why you're in that situation when that really isn't their business, their business is helping you get out of that situation. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY...

Please do not think that this service is an alternative to managing your debt. Freedom mishandled my account time and time again. Ignoring legal summons and settling other accounts ahead of the most urgent ones even after persistent communication with Freedom advanced collections dept. After one year of constant struggle I had to take out bankruptcy and should have never wasted my time with Freedom Financial.

The process was pretty easy to get through and my representative was very helpful and easy to get a hold of. I used another debt consolidation service in the past but this one seems to have better options to get my debt paid off faster and at lower balances. They basically cut my total amount owed in half and it seems easy to stick to my goal.

IF you are in as dire of a financial predicament as I was (i.e. barely able to make the minimum monthly payments on your credit cards), then FDR is a reputable and trustworthy organization to go with. They forewarned me about all of the fees and the hit that my credit score would take. Every member that I was in contact with was friendly & helpful and the tools in which you can access them and your account are very professional. I was entirely committed to making good on my debts as quickly & as efficiently as possible, hopefully without collection agencies bothering me at home or at work, and FDR made this possible.
After months of making my payments on time, a sister company of FDR, called Consolidation Plus, approached me with an offer of a loan to fast-track the settlement of my debts. Again, being in such a bad financial position & worrying about actions that creditors might take against me to collect, I felt like this was the best choice for me. I finalized my account & time with FDR by now making loan payments through Consolidation Plus.
Although my early experiences with this new company have been pleasant, the terms of my new loan are somewhat comparable to the exorbitant fees I was once paying to the credit card companies I got into trouble with in the first place (i.e. a 23% interest rate). I have been assured by Consolidation Plus that as long as I keep making my payments in full & on time, my credit score will begin to recover and I will have the opportunity to refinance my loan through them or somebody else for a (hopefully) lower interest rate in the near future.
I am hoping that my trust in them isn't too naive, but I do believe that this will someday be true, especially since the costs of the new loan have me living precariously from paycheck to paycheck. Again, the advice of FDR and now Consolidation Plus has been very helpful in assuaging any of my fears and misgivings and I WOULD recommend their services to others who are in such bleak financial straits. I join the program because of health expenses. I am retired and they help my family get back on our feet. They helped me through the process and explained how everything would work. We are debt free except for a mortgage and car payment and in less time than we thought. I would do it again but I shouldn't have too. I would have given 5 stars except my credit rating went down which they explain to me. They only thing I haven't gotten is a plan to rebuild my credit rating.

When dealing with debt consolidation, I expected fast talkers and a lot of hidden fees. However, I was happily proved wrong. I enrolled in FDR when in financial hardship and was left in worse financial hardship and in more debt than I began. FDR charged me an enormous amount of fees for debt they failed at negotiating at all with one creditor. They left me to negotiate my own debt with another and then falsely informed me about a consolidation loan from their “sister” company Consolidation Plus. Leaving me with more debt and a higher interest rate than when I started. The customer service was impossible and very discouraging. I know they have recordings of the false information that led me to agree to the loan, yet they have avoided me. Taking advantage of me the way they did was morally wrong and should be illegal. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I just wish there was some relief for me. I will be paying this loan off for years to pay their ‘fees’ that they did not earn.

I called and advise the representative that I spoke with that I needed to change my payment to a lower payment due to a change in finances. Before then I had been paying on time. He advise me that it can only be for 3 months. I was the one who requested extra $200 payment in addition to the already 360.00 that I had been paying. I was told when I signed up that I could change this by calling if there was a change in my situation. All the rep would say is you still owe us the money for our fees. Which I had/have every intention on paying. When I begin to ask questions he became annoyed.
I do believe this is a great program but it is discouraging to be treated poorly while you're already experiencing a personal hardship and divorce (which I mentioned but he could care less). The 1st representative said when I signed on the program that your bills are behind that is why you called us. I said no I called because I was over extended in debt and had been paying my bills on time but was advise to stop paying so that I could fall behind in order for them to negotiate a settlement. Again I think it is a great program but some of the staff need to work on their customer service skills. My true experience. :(

I have received many to the point irritating phone calls from creditors and being told that they don't deal with for profits to one saying if I didn't deal with them that my account would immediately go to collections. It would seem that these calls could be averted if you were to call them to let them know you are representing me. After all you are a for profit organization and for the 13+k you will be paid, I would appreciate those calls being made. Thanks.

I paid thousands in fees and had 2 accounts that I faced a lawsuit because of. I just removed an account from them because the negotiator didn’t do her job. This was a big mistake. In retrospect I should have filed for bankruptcy or used another company.

Turned over account #'s to Freedom Debt. Since that time 3 of the account closed. They cannot find any account # with B of A. Now they say I have to call IRS to find out to whom account was sold to. If the Bank has no record and you can't find anything just refund me. I shouldn't have to do the research for you!

Freedom helped us out of a really bad credit debt problem, sometimes we were not sure if any progress was being made, then we would receive an e-mail or phone call, and another issue was resolved. After depositing enough funds, problems magically were gone. We are very grateful for all Freedom did for us, and extend recommendations to anyone who are thinking there is no way out. Very simple, all that is needed is dedicated account for auto withdrawal, and in a very short time all problems will be gone. Credit score quickly return to acceptable level.

The dates of payment I requested we're changed causing problems! When I talked to you about the dates to pull from our checking account you agreed this date had to do with our pay periods. We have encountered over $200 dollars in lack of funds from our checking. When you did this it also caused a shortage in our checking account again. Let's get this straightened out.

Felt that should have been notified and I can make a balloon payment at the end because I had money available in my account to complete all my payments instead of the money being withdrawn from my bank account every month for another 5 months and then return to me at a later date.

The staff working in this program are very professional and very good communicator. The process does take a while but that is expected due to the logistics of his the debt is settled. After I signed on with them I felt very relieved. I will feel great when all the accounts are processed and approved by creditors. Over the months I would get anxious on the timing but the staff in all departments have remained diligent to answer concerns quickly and I feel good about my decision. I did unplug my home phone. No one used it but my Mom, salespeople and creditors. I now make my Mom use my cell. Not hearing the phone calls really helped.

I was sent a letter by a law firm requesting payment on one of my accounts. I forwarded this letter to FDR and I assumed they would negotiate a payment settlement with them. Instead they ignored it, because according to the representative I talked to said there was not enough funds in the account to negotiate a settlement. Instead of ignoring and letting it go to a lawsuit someone from your organization should have contacted me and let me know what was happening. I knew nothing till I was served with legal papers. I pay you a good fee to follow through not drop the ball on me. I just pray the legal team can fix this mess.

I am not happy with the bi-monthly withdrawals. I’ve accumulated over 300.00 in overdraft fees because you have not kept with our agreed upon dates of the 4th and 19th of each month. They're great and handle things that you don't know you have to do. At this time you are already so stressed out and your mind is in the fog. They tell you what it is you need to do and with much of it they just handle it and they make your life so much better eliminating so much of the stress one has when things like this happen. I too thought they were doing a bang up job helping resolve my debt. That is until the last account was left to resolve. Now they have enough money in the account to resolve that debt in full and it has been there for 6 months. The account is on a "strategic hold" as they say. It was escalated 5 months ago and when I question them now they say escalating it does not guarantee anything. Then they offer to escalate it again. What a scam just to keep you in the program. I too will be screaming from the rooftops, online forums, blogs and anywhere I can to warn everyone of this company and their tactics.

I should have taken care of my debt instead of this service. I don’t think I benefited at all. Still paying same amount and was informed by one of the customer service that nothing was paid yet until I reached a percentage and on top of that I am paying them a high percentage. A mistake on my part.

They said my debt would be resolved by end of August 2017. My payments were complete as of September, but they still try to withdraw the monthly payment and charge me a monthly service fee. My calls to them leave me no resolution. Their customer service reps give me a run-around. And they continue to charge their monthly service fee. Currently, my balance is over $1700 and they have not called me or mailed me any graduation info. I will need once again to request the stop of payment withdrawals and to visit this with my bank.

Debt situation getting worse. They keep taking my money but nothing gets resolved. Settled a few on my own. Gonna do the rest myself and minimize the damage Should of never got involved. Most creditors will work with you. are compassionate and understanding.
