I had an amazing experience with Roadway. I used them at the end of May which is a very high season for me. So it was nice to know I can rely on them to move me while I worked. They really made moving smooth, efficient, and easy. Would recommend!!

Great experience. The company is super communicative before and after the move so you know what to expect on moving day. I opted for self-packing so all I had to do was request Roadway boxes and fill them up. The movers handled the big stuff (mattress, wardrobe) and brought everything down an 3 floor walk up. They were super efficient and professional. Highly rec for a move

This is my second time using Roadway Movers and I'm blown away yet again! My husband and I recently used Roadway Moving for our local move and had a really great experience with Antonio and Jack. They were friendly, professional, and made the whole process feel a lot less stressful. They took great care of our things and made sure everything got moved safely. They wrapped all of our furniture, packed our wardrobe, and handled everything with care. They also went above and beyond by helping us unpack some things and set up our rugs and smaller items in the new apartment. Having them help with those extra things took a lot off our plates and made moving day run much more smoothly. We really appreciated all of their hard work and would definitely recommend them to anyone planning a move.

Roadway Moving had better reviews online, and seemed a bit more premium. We used them for two moves. We did one local move within Brooklyn, so it was very close. We later used them for getting some furniture from Boston to New York. They were good. I liked the moving crew a lot. They're very good and very strong. They did a lot faster than we could have done it. During the move, I was not at either location, and one item was forgotten in Boston which was probably my stepdad's fault, but they went back and picked it up for no extra charge. That was nice. They said, “It was our fault, we'll take it.” I said, “Okay. Great.”

I saw the reviews and decided to go with Roadway Moving. Adrian, the first person I spoke with, was great, and the communication was easy. We did a FaceTime with a coordinator for the inventory and quote, and it was straightforward. I was surprised, though, that the original quote and the final cost were quite different. Although it was reasonable, it could have been clearer. It seemed to be based on square footage or cubic volume, but it was hard to tell.
The best part about using Roadway was that they never dragged anything, even if it had wheels. They covered the wheels and lifted everything, which was what we wanted and were happy about. Usually, with other movers I’ve used, they roll anything that has wheels. The movers were extra careful with packing, so it was a little slower than I thought. It was very thorough, and some of them were even unnecessarily careful, but I understand that. It took about eight hours to pack, even though we had packed most of our stuff ourselves. The packing and unpacking were still very helpful.

I chose Roadway Moving based on the services they provided and the cost. My move was from Dallas to Houston, which was about 300 miles, and I also needed overnight storage for one day. The rep was very helpful, especially since I had a lot of changes. The expectations she set were also very accurate. On moving day, the crew was very helpful and efficient. They seemed very prepared for both pickup and delivery. Overall, it was a great move, and I would recommend and use them again in the future.

Roadway Moving has been fantastic for my family on two separate occasions. The first time I used them was during an apartment move, and I was honestly blown away by how seamless they made the entire process. The movers were punctual, careful with every item, efficient, and incredibly professional from start to finish. Moving is usually stressful, but they made it feel easy.
After such a positive experience, we hired them again to help move couches and furniture between three different locations for my family. There were a few logistical hiccups during the day that were outside of anyone’s control, but the Roadway team handled everything calmly and without a single complaint. They immediately adapted, helped figure everything out, and never made the situation feel stressful. What stood out most both times was their professionalism, communication, and willingness to help no matter what came up. You can tell they genuinely care about customer experience. We Google searched the most trustworthy movers in New York and Roadway was at the top of every list. I did some research on the website and then got a quote. The rep had me walk around my apartment. I didn’t have that much I needed to take with me but it also changed. So, I called back a couple of times and he changed it for me whenever I needed to add or take something off. So, it was super easy. He was very helpful and made me feel very reassured because I was very stressed out in my move. He made it seem like the whole process was gonna be taken care of.
The moving day was great. The movers called me when I was expecting them to come. They also helped me take apart some furniture that I wasn't taking with me and bring it downstairs. It was super helpful because I didn't know how I was going to get some things out of my apartment. They were super nice. They also helped me put my couch back together with the arm on the opposite side, because that's how it looked better in my new apartment. It ended up taking longer than it would have otherwise. I kept telling them it wasn’t a problem, but they were determined to finish it for me. It probably added about six hours with all the back and forth. They spent a lot of time trying to make my life easier. So, it was awesome. I literally didn't have to touch anything myself. Even when I tried to, they would say they got it. So, I didn’t have to stress about anything. People should use Roadway.

I haven’t heard a single person say movers were not worth it so I knew I had to hire a moving company for the next stage in my life. The team made my moving anxiety disappear the second they came. They were super kind and professional, Roadway came and unassembled my furniture for me. They even retaped my boxes for me so everything was secure. I moved out of my studio the same day so they even made a second stop for me. We started at 9am and we were done by 3pm and I was blown away by how fast they were.

It’s my second time using Roadway and they make the process easy as pie! They dropped off boxes and bubble wrap a week in advance, I packed up my the small items in my apartment like clothes, books and kitchen items, and they took care of the rest. The team at Roadway took the shelves off my wall, carefully wrapped my dining table and hauled my many, many boxes of kitchen supplies out of my apartment. Nobody likes moving, but it was much less of a hassle having helping hands from Roadway Moving. A couple weeks later and I’m fully settled into my new apartment…much speedier than if I had done it on my own. Thank you Roadway!

Roadway Moving is truly the best out there. I have used them twice before. One for a long distance move from LA and another within Manhattan. Each time they have taken such amazing care of my belongings and have moved everything with great care. I will only be using Roadway Movers moving forward as they are truly the best in the industry. On move in day, they were scheduled to arrive at 9 am and I was already moved out by 10:15 am. I have never experienced a faster move before. I feel so at ease with their assistance during my move!

This was hands down the easiest move I’ve ever had. I went with Roadway’s packing and unpacking service and it completely changed the experience for me. They packed everything so carefully, handled all of my belongings with so much attention to detail, and made the entire process feel effortless. I didn’t have to stress about a single thing. They unpacked everything and took all the boxes with them, which made settling in so much easier. Truly a luxury moving experience.

I appreciated how organized and thorough they were, whether its was expertly dissembling/assembling furniture, wrapping up furniture to ensure they were safely transported, making sure boxes were labeled, so they knew where to put them, and offering to take away empty boxes after the move. I was also grateful for how friendly they were to my dog who was around during the move. They even managed to make it a pleasant experience for him by always taking a moment to pet him when they passed by him, despite how busy they were!

This is my second time using Roadway. The first time was for a local move within Los Angeles, and then now to the East Coast. This was a somewhat different process given the distance, but the experience was the same as before. Very kind, very professional, very efficient. The thing I liked the most for long distance move was the use of QR codes. Every box you have will be labeled with a QR code that gets scanned at move out and again for the move-in, to ensure everything got there safely.
Also, roadway isn't a brokerage that brings on independent contractors. I had my car shipped by a company that does this and the experience is so different. the independent contractors can have a completely different vibe than the company you booked them through, and can even try to squeeze extra money out of you on the day of. but with Roadway, the people who coordinate your move and the people who actually do the moving work for the same company. So there's a MUCH more consistent experience across the board when dealing with different people, and you pay the price they quote you without wondering if the movers are going to try to squeeze more on the day of.
ADVICE. The first time I used Roadway, I let them do all the packing for me. The second time, I packed myself. Honestly, if you're doing an out-of-city/out-of-state move, just let them do the packing. Yeah you'll save a few hundred dollars or more if you pack it yourself, but I wish I spent that extra time actually saying more proper goodbye's and having hangouts rather than packing. That would have relieved so much more stress. They ended up packing some things (because apparently I didn't pack everything properly lol) and the boxes they packed were in much better condition than the ones I packed.
Thankfully nothing was broken, and I believe they handled all my stuff with care. I just packed really really heavy stuff in boxes without the proper wrapping and insulation on the inside. So matter how it was handled, those boxes were going to see some tattering. This is a classic example of just let the professionals do what the professionals are used to doing everyday. When you're tired and rushing to meet move-out deadlines, even you may not give your valuables the care and attention that the professionals do on a regular basis. So all around, if you can spare it, just pay Roadway to handle everything from packing to moving and unpacking. Everyone was super kind and helpful and felt trustworthy. Would have no problem using Roadway again.

I just hired Roadway to move my apt down the street and I've never been so pleased with a moving company before. They showed up not one minute past 9am, extremely detailed and careful as they did the entire job. We were nervous about our TVs so Joel, Ender & Luka made sure they were transported extremely carefully, packing them in special boxes. They even helped packed small items around the house (which I had planned to do) which was extremely nice of them. The customer service was outstanding and I could tell they went to make sure we didn’t lift a finger. Will be hiring them again for all future moves.

The Roadway team was prompt, packed EVERYTHING up for me (clothes, kitchenware, literally everything) and rebuilt all the furniture they took apart once we got to our new home. Moving in New York is usually a nightmare, so I went into this expecting stress no matter what. Roadway was the complete opposite. They were on time, insanely organized, and handled everything with care, not that rushed, careless energy you sometimes get with movers. First things first, let me set the tone for you. I had to move during the Texas storm last week, and when I say Roadway took care of me the entire way, I’m not lying. This was my first apartment move, and they made it so easy and fast. They were on time, super helpful, and always checked if I needed anything extra. The roads were icy, it was extremely cold, and the highways were basically unpaved, but they handled everything like without a struggle. The move only took two hours despite the conditions of outside and honestly, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with a move like this. This was the easiest (and funnest) move I have ever had! Not even the NYC snow storm stopped them from helping me. I can’t recommend Roadway Moving enough. I first used them a little over a year ago when I moved and they were so amazing that I called them immediately when I knew I was moving again. This time, they helped me move from West Hollywood to Studio City, CA and everything went great again. The team is so efficient while still being extremely careful with all of my items, especially the TV’s or anything glass- they packed them extra well. They really worked so quickly but carefully at the same time. On top of the incredible service, everyone was so kind, professional, and easy to work with. I was relocating for a new job. The move was from a storage unit in Yonkers, New York down to New York City, Manhattan. Roadway's price was in line with the other quotes I got, and the customer service when getting the quote and setting up the move was really good. Very professional, thorough, and accurate. I chose Roadway because my realtor gave me a discount code. I worked with them twice and this was my third move with them.
The first two times I moved with Roadway was amazing, and, coincidentally, I had the same movers. However, the movers for the third move were not as amazing as the other two men were. They were disorganized and distracted with other calls. The packing up took a little longer than usual, probably four hours, and I have had the same amount of stuff almost every time.
The man in charge was distracted with a call about another move and was accused of doing something. He was focused on proving that he was not guilty. It was frustrating because he was taking so long to come and pack up my stuff, and I have a specific window in my new building. I only had three hours to use the service elevator, and I was worried I won’t get there in time because it will take at least an hour to get there. But everything was fine.
The moving coordinator set an accurate expectation for their services. I think his name is Momo and he’s been very nice and helpful in coordinating all my moves. I always say Roadway is great, helpful in the process, and fair in pricing. Everyone’s been very accommodating. If anything could have been improved, I would say the productivity of the team I had the last time.

Used Roadway Moving twice: once to pack up my belongings and move my stuff into storage while I was traveling, and a year later to move into my new apartment when I returned. Exceptional service both times. The movers handled all of my belongings with care in packing and unpacking, and provided me with a printed + digital copy of my inventory, which we referenced on my moving day. I was even able to access my belongings at the storage facility in between. Definitely recommend!

I moved from Chicago to Cleveland over the course of a couple of weeks. I chose Roadway because they were willing to work with me and their quote was very flexible, which I appreciate compared to other companies.
The coordinator was great and helped explain everything very clearly. I was able to talk through the partial pack of my more fragile items like the kitchen, which they ended up doing.
One of the two guys that did the pickup ended up doing the drop-off as well. Edgar was phenomenal. I was moving over the course of Thanksgiving and I was concerned that they were going to come when I was not able to receive the delivery. He was totally able to make sure it wouldn't be the case. When we needed some more time on the elevator, he was able to get it sorted out because he knew my building staff.
Once he found out that he was going to be the driver assigned to my drop-off, he stayed in good communication with me. He was in constant communication with me even from before the pickup, during the pickup, and then after the move. I never had a doubt. He took care of everything and made sure it was as stress-free as possible.
The team was great and extremely well-connected. Could not stress Edgar's helpfulness enough. They drove through a horrible snowstorm in Indiana to drop off my boxes, made sure everything was delivered, and put away as it needed to be. So it was a class act and I would highly recommend it.

A trusted source referred Roadway to me, and this company was very communicative. I needed to move from New York City to New Jersey, and Cleaveland listened to our needs. He also came on site to assess the entire move that was required. When he came back with an initial quote, I found that it was a little high. But, he worked with us to narrow it down to what we needed, and we came to a good meeting point.
We had already moved to our new home, so when they were packing up everything, I went to check in. This company did not damage anything, and they were transparent. I have worked with other moving companies in the past and they have denied damaging things. Everybody was working so quickly and efficiently. Overall, they were very great to work with.

I move around a lot, and I have used them at least four times. The most recent time I used them was when I moved some stuff to my daughter for storage. I told Roadway every piece of furniture I had in my house, and then I was given a day and timeframe. I met the team and showed them the best way in the apartment. Most of my smaller items were in boxes, and then they had to wrap up and box a couple of TVs and furniture items. They were in a good flow, and had good communication.
I was concerned I would have had to pay more on some last-minute charges because they have this shuttle term where if they're dropping the items off and they can't bring a bigger truck, you would have to pay for them to get a smaller shuttle. Those types of logistics should be handled by Roadway and not the consumer. The customer shouldn't have to pay for what they choose to use. But I didn't get hit with that.

My mom was moving to Florida. I found Roadway Moving on Google, and liked the reviews I saw. I've had horrible moves in the past, but Roadway was awesomely efficient. They scheduled the move, showed up on time, did the packing, and wrapped everything extra good. They were super fast with everything. They even got to Florida faster than we thought.
If I move again, I would use them. Because the last moving company I used before them, I would never use it again. I wish I had found Roadway Moving in May. They were a 5-star for everything. They were really that good. The quote was even right, which is amazing, and reasonably priced. They didn't jack me up at the end like some other company I used.

Moving is so stressful but working with roadway moving took a HUGE wait off our shoulders. The movers took a total of 2 days and they were able to hold our belongings overnight. This is now my second move with Roadway and I had to come back to write this because they continue to impress me. Not only are they great at their job and handling everything with care. They truly are so kind and willing to go above and beyond. My couch specifically was extremely tight on fitting out of my apartment doorway and they problem solved with no hesitation to make sure we were getting that couch out and into my new home. Anything I asked or inquired about they were happy to help and sort out a solution. All of my things were perfectly unloaded into my new home in perfect condition. OH, and they cleaned up all the trash and boxes as I unpacked which is such a huge bonus!

My moving experience was absolutely incredible. We moved from LA to NYC and didn't even have an apartment upon leaving LA. Roadway Moving was able to store our items for us and deliver them once we found our new apartment. The movers were so friendly and made what was a stressful experience SO seamless. They packaged everything extremely carefully including a travertine stone dresser, plates & dish ware, electronics, etc. Our items arrived in perfect condition and they had all of the necessary insurance for our new building. They unpacked and put our items back together. Overall, the experience couldn't have gone better, I will never move without them!

Moving is something I have always dreaded, and Roadway has completely changed that. I just finished my third local move with them, and I’m happier each time than I was the last. The first two times I packed myself and they had the entire move done within a couple hours. We were moving because we wanted to be closer to family. It was a semi-local move and we needed help. I first saw Roadway Moving on social media and I decided to use them because they were less expensive than the local movers I had gotten quotes from. I got so many quotes. The rep from Roadway Moving did a video call with me and I went room by room and indicated the things that I wanted to move.
The movers arrived at my house on time, and they were helpful. They answered questions, wrapped things well and got things moved in and out quickly. There was one piece of furniture that they said was too big to go up my staircase, but then I had other people delivering furniture that were able to make it work. Other than that, the Roadway movers did everything they said they'd do. We had two locations that we took furniture to, my daughter's house and my new house. They were easy. It was the probably the easiest move I've ever done, and the quote I received was completely accurate. We might have gone over time a little, but it wound up being less expensive than I thought it would be.

I found Roadway Moving online and I liked them, so I chose them. They called me over the phone, asked me about my inventory and I told them. The quote was very accurate and in the morning of the move, they showed up at my house. I walked them to the apartment and they started packing everything, then they drove everything to the new place and brought them up. They were so fast and really strong, too. They were running up with these giant boxes and furniture up to the third floor and I don't know how they did that. I can barely carry a grocery bag to the second floor. I would recommend Roadway Moving to friends and family members.

SUCH a great experience using Roadway for my local move in downtown Chicago. I did a self-pack move, so I had a 5-piece couch + 25 plastic moving boxes. I also had some bits and pieces that I was going to walk over, but they ended up doing me a huge favor and diligently packed them up! They also provided wardrobe boxes, which are AWESOME. I've never experienced moving like this. We were completely done within 2.5 hours. Highly recommend Roadway for your move. If you're in Chicago, Marco and his team were incredible. 10/10!!

Roadway has agreed to cover some of the damages over the standard insurance of 60 cents lb which we are grateful for. It did take a lot of back and forth to get there however I appreciate them increasing the compensation given our unique truck accident and resulting damages.
Original Review: Nov. 21, 2025
TLDR Avoid Roadway Moving — our truck mysteriously “crashed,” they went silent for days, over 4k in damages as the semi was totaled in a solo car accident on a desert highway and then offered us FOUR HUNDRED dollars. 1. We paid a lot of money to have all of our items packaged and then shipped by roadway moving from LA to Reno. Standard delivery insurance. 2. We were given a delivery window 3. The truck did not arrive at the designated time. 4. We were informed by a phone call that the truck was in an accident somewhere been LA and Reno - given no details, policy reports, location of items. 5. Over the course of the next three days we had to hammer call and email roadway to obtain any answers about our things because they would not answer and also did not provide any factual or verifiable information when they did answer. This caused a lot of stress obviously.
6. Well out of our delivery window we are told the truck is in a tow yard and a new truck is being sent and the items will need to be transferred and then delivered. 7. We had already flow back to LA because we can’t just keep calling off work without actually knowing when our things will be delivered and we were given maybe a 12 hour notice. 8. A friend was kind enough to be present for the delivery. 9. Numerous things were damaged totaling over $4,000 with picture evidence. We were told don’t worry Roadway’s auto insurance will cover any damages and that we should assess it once we are unpacked. 10. We submit a claim through the proper channels
11. Roadway proceeds to under weigh items, incorrectly label items as packed by owner, remove items from the list for no valid reason despite damage. Our entire box of glassware/dishes was shattered for which I provided a photo of unwrapped wine glass. They denied coverage for more than one glass or bowl because I didn’t dig through a box filled with broken glass for each one. 13. This claim is processed through their auto insurance which makes coverage different from typical moving damages/claims. 14. Negligence has to be accounted for while totaling a semi on a straight desert highway. 15. Standard .60 coverage should not be the only coverage in such a large scale crash

I've used Roadway Moving twice now since moving to NYC, and I can honestly say the movers are always phenomenal! They helped me moved into my last apartment on the first floor and my current place, which is a walkup on the top floor. I partially packed some of my items and the movers did the rest and labeled where everything came from. During this move, I had a lot more furniture and fragile items compared to my previous move, so I was worried that some things might get damaged. But thankfully everything made it to my new place without damage, including a 100+ year old antique cabinet! Really grateful for the diligence and attention to detail the Roadway movers gave to my items, their professionalism and kindness made my move a lot less stressful. Thank you Roadway Moving for a pleasant, anxiety-free move-in day experience!

Roadway Moving goes above and beyond to make sure your move is perfect. I had a lot of things because I lived at my place for six years but the movers helped me throw away everything I didn't need and packed everything else for me! They are super respectful and ask before packing anything too. They carefully wrapped everything - and I mean everything - so everything came to my new place in one piece! They also provide you with boxes! And they work QUICKLY. They also disassemble and reassemble furniture for you so you don't have to worry about that in your new place. My friend was moving that same week so I recommended Roadway Movers and he loved his experience with them too!

Cristiano was in charge of my move, and he was incredibly detail-oriented—he walked me through every part of the process and made sure everything went smoothly. I also had their team handle all the packing, and they did an outstanding job. I won’t use any other company than Roadway when it comes to moving!
